Analysis of Selected Programs from the Event Calendar of National Gallery in Prague with a Focus on Education of Children and Youth

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze activities organized by the Education Department of National Gallery in Prague with a focus on education of children and youth. It is this very age group that represents future visitors and it is specifically needed to foster their relationship with the institution and art in general. The introduction provides the reader with basic terminology and forms of schooling that the museum education is invested in. Specific aspects of education of children and youth are described next. The practical part provides an analysis of the education program offered to schools. Formerly introduced knowledge is demonstrated on two (individually selected and visited by the author) programs. The conclusion of the thesis lays down suggestions for future development of museum-related, pedagogical activities run by the selected institution.

Marketing Communication of gallery´s exhibitions

Bachelor´s thesis focuses on the current possibilities of using communication tools in museums and galleries focusing on marketing communication and promotion of exhibitions. The aim of the thesis is based on a research to design more effective marketing communications gallery on the example of selected exhibitions in the DOX Center for Contemporary Art. The theoretical part deals with the terminology associated with the areas of arts management and marketing communications. Studies dealing with marketing communications, galleries and museums focusing the use of the new possibilities of communication and participation in social networks are also included in the theoretical part. The practical part is focused on the analysis of marketing communication of the previous exhibitions at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art. Included are three interviews, with Zuzana Masná, from the DOX Center, and with two bloggers: Sandra Kisić and Anna Stránská. The research is based on the analysis of communication studies research and personal interviews. At the end of this part I will suggest the new possibilities for the use of marketing tools and ways to update the current marketing communications on example of the current exhibition Big Bang Data.

Analysis and Comparison of Programs of Museum Education in Selected Museums in the Czech Republic

The thesis focuses on museum pedagogy and educational programs in museums. At first the topic is processed theoretically. This part of the thesis includes definition of basic terminology, describes forms of educational programs and ways, in which these programs are prepared. The practical part is based on the theoretical knowledge and compares educational programs in three museums. Selected museums are Regionální muzeum a galerie v Jičíně, Muzeum Mladoboleslavska and Městské muzeum Nová Paka. The aim of the comparison is to assess, whether the current situation in selected institutions is satisfactory and further to suggest changes, which would solve possible shortcomings.

The Restoration and Novel Utilization of the Zlín Chateau

This thesis deals with restoration of the historic building of the castle. Designed building is located in the city center of Zlin, in a large park. The castle has four floors. It has four wings, which creates a compact unit. Restoration of the building is focused on the design of the new functional use of space and restore the overall appearance. The renovated space will be used for exhibition areas and the hinterland town of Zlin Museum and the Museum of Architecture. In other areas is designed restaurant, cafe, hotel and studios. Part of recovery is design the space in front of the building of the castle.

New synagogue Teplice

The subject of this diploma project was to design an architectural proposal of The New Synagogue and Jewish Community Centre in Teplice, Czech Republic. The main goal was to design a complex of buildings which would be used not only for the worships but also for cultural and educational purposes. The proposal consists of the design of 3 buildings connected to each other by a cen-tral courtyard. The form is based on the traditional values set into contemporary de-sign shaped by demands of current generations. One of the main design elements - the beam structure above the courtyard implies a symbol of The Star of David as the symbol of Judaism as we know today. The building of New Synagogue represents the first, three storey building on the north part of plot. The second, east part, is building consisting of cultural centre, info centre, museum, gallery and spaces for workshops with it's technical and sanitary facilities. A Kosher Restaurant will be located into the third and last two-storey building. An undeground parking will be used by the staff and visitors of the whole complex.

Gallery aviation technology and traditions of aviation at the airport Medlánky in Brno

The theme of Master thesis is a Gallery of aviation technology and traditions of aviation at the airport Gallery aviation technology and traditions of aviation at the airport Medlánky in Brno. The project insludes overall operation of the sports airport, then deal in detail operations of the museum and related services within the airport. The new campus will humbly entered in the countryside, in an attractive location Medláneckých hills creates another attractive feature and despite the complex operation and movement techniques does not create a barrier to the contrary territory it unites and is a natural center. Airports Medlanky was founded already in the twenties of the last century, and since then the area is relatively non-conceptually grew by more hangars and various outbuildings. Of these, only two were preserved original wooden sheds, which adds yet another new administrative and ceremonial buildings. Operational buildings set limits on technology, the new representative building it closes, and defining a space for people, nature trail connects the area, offers wonderful views and creates a public space that makes passers airport. The whole area is oriented to the back area and opens onto the landscape, wide area thus presents an iconic silhouette reperzentační building. The curve of the building provides space aircraft-makers to fly and allows collision-free movement of people and equipment around the airport and also generates a dignified space for aircraft to fly longer will. Exposure air museum at the second floor of the building and the visitor thus rises to individual gliders that levitate in space, the sun's rays make their reflections on the polished bonnets and backgrounds are vivid airports and skies. The museum offers a walk through the history of aviation in a different context than conventional hangars. This diploma thesis is built on prediploma project, whose aim was to create a strategy for converting of ground of textile factory Perla in Usti nad Orlici. During prediploma project functional content of the whole area was designed, for diploma thesis it was chosen part of this territory and it was processed in detail. Specifically, it was chosen the southwestern part of the area situated around a factory smokestack. Partly, there is a new use of existing buildings and partly there are designed new objects. Preserved buildings will be newly used as a museum, gallery, IQ center, formal hall, shops and offices. All new buildings in the selected area will be used for commercial purposes, namely for shops, offices, services and a cafeteria. Important city-forming elements are two squares: one smaller around the chimney, which is intimate, and the second square, which is larger, so there is enough room for holding various social events.

New Synagogue in Olomouc

Draft synagogue draws on traditional values from the past, but is set in the present time and modern elements to create the perfect environment for future work and development of the Jewish community. In the past, they reached the synagogue larger sizes and higher than the surrounding buildings. Attracted so immediate dominance. Today's urban planning and capacity synagogues us not allow this dominance. However synagogue be different because of the surrounding buildings. The proposed project will thus achieve a modern shape, splayed hands towards God. The synagogue is to be removed, so as sculptures have their pedestals, and the proposed synagogue is mounted on a pedestal. Is thus formed plastic loosely inserted into the surrounding nature.
