Traditional Czech and British Fairy Tales - The Most Obvious Analogies

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to demonstrate whether Czech and British fairy tales evince analogies in terms of motifs and narratological structure. The theoretical part explains the origin of fairy tales in both countries and presents definitions of a traditional fairy tale and its main functions. The practical part begins with an analysis of an individual style of writing of the authors Božena Němcová, Karel Jaromír Erben, Joseph Jacobs and Oscar Wilde who are considered to be the main representatives of traditional fairy tales and thus their works enable a more thorough comparison. Subsequently, the author has paid attention to the analysis of traditional fairy tales of both literatures. In addition to their identical features, the comparison has also shown a number of discrepancies. Emigration motif in Pnin and other novels by Vladimír Nabokov

This bachelor's thesis explores the theme of emigration in Vladimir Nabokov's fiction, primarily through the analysis of one of his English-written novels Pnin. Many works by Nabokov display autobiographical features, which is why a large part of this work provides Nabokov's biography with an emphasis on its possible influence on his career. In the theoretical part of the thesis the biography of Vladimir Nabokov and the typical features of his work are introduced with a preceding short overview of the term emigration and the characterization of the first Russian wave of emigration. The practical part of the thesis provides a deeper analysis of the novel Pnin through the prism of emigration motif and its sub-themes which are realized in Nabokov's work. The last part of the thesis is a brief conclusion about how Nabokov created an image of the Russian emigrant.

Transnational Corporations from Developing Countries and their Integration into the Globalization Process

The main theme of this master's thesis is an effort to explain the integration of transnational corporations from developing countries into the economic globalization. Firstly, we define the main concepts, such as process of globalization and competition. Then, we specify the most important characteristics of transnational corporations from developing countries, we identify major incentives and strategies of their integration into the global competition, we also devote our attention to measurement of degree of their integration into the global economy and evaluate their main competitive advantages and disadvantages. In the analytical part of the work we use quantitative analysis in order to find the differences between transnational corporations from developing countries and their counterparts from developed countries in the transnationality index, diversification of industry and industrial sector in which these companies operate. The last part is focused on a case study of an Indian transnational conglomerate Tata Group. On this example we show the practical aspects of integration of transnational corporations from developing countries into the global economy.

Motivation of combat sports

Titleofwork: Combat sports motivation. Workobjective: The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine motives for participating in certain combat sports and to examine if the individual combat sports vary from each other or whether there is a common motive. The further objective is to examine a motive for combat sports in general. Usedmethods: The diploma thesis is designed as a quantitative research using a questionnaire survey. To compile the anonymous questionnaire, the international multidimensional standardized questionnaire The Sport Motivation Scale "SMS-28" was used. The standardized questionnaire was supplemented by questions to determine the sex, age and type of combat sport. The data acquired were then statistically evaluated using pivot tables and research questions were acquired by Pareto analysis. Results: It was discovered that the most important component of motivation for combat sports in general is the inner motivation to experience, on the contrary, the least important for the respondents was the external regulation. The individual combat sports differentiated then by a different spectrum of motivation. Parent's motivation for unschooling in the context of self-efficacy

The presented thesis deals with topic of unschooling. It specifically focuses on parent's motivation for this untraditional and sort of radical educational approach to children. The major aim of the thesis was to map parent's specific reasons for unschooling and also factors that help them continue with it despite possible difficulties. Bandura's concept of self-efficacy was used as a theoretical frame of the research. We focused on development of motivation in this area as well. The qualitative approach was used for the research; data was collected by in- depth semi-structured interviews and analysed using thematic analyses. Results of the research show us main motives that lead Czech parents to choice of unschooling as well as supportive factors that motivate them continue with it. The main reasons for unschooling educational choice were for example delimiting against school, child's needs and interests, and child's will. Family well-being and child's happiness turn out to be the strongest keeping factors. Identified motives were set into the concept of self-efficacy which shows the strong connection of those two concepts in researched area. Volunteer motivation and care in the RunCzech running events

Title: Volunteer motivation and care in the RunCzech running events Purpose: The main aim of this master's thesis is to find the motives contributing to be a volunteer at the RunCzech running events which are organized by the Prague International Marathon. Another goal is to discover how the organizer takes care of their volunteers, and how the leadership and volunteer coordination really works. Method: For this research on volunteer motivation questionnaires were used in electronic Google forms. The link for this survey was sent via e-mail and shared via social networks. The other methods were structural and semi-structural interviews with two employees of PIM, who are responsible for their volunteers during the organisation of RunCzech running events. The results were analysed with graphs and tables in MS Excel. Results: Based on the results the survey suggests more than half of volunteers are motivated by more than one motive at once. The atmosphere during the events and new experiences are two of the most important motives for volunteers. The behaviour of volunteer leaders also has an important influence on volunteer's motivation. The interviews showed that PIM searches for volunteers primarily from high schools. Motivy a bariéry přeměn obchodních společností a družstev v účetních souvislostech

In the Czech Republic, as well as in the Europe, the merger and acquisition market is growing. The major reason for this rising trend is the overall economic globalization. Transformation of companies is a complicated process and has various forms, for instance mergers, transfer of assets to a member, split or change in the legal form. In the Czech Republic, the most common type is a merger. The theoretical part deals with the general characteristics of mergers according to the Czech accounting legislation and the International Financial Reporting Standards. The practical part focuses on a model example of a merger in the Czech Republic, as well as on the comparison of mergers of Czech accounting legislation with International Financial Reporting Standards. In the next part of the thesis, critical areas are identified in company business transformations and appropriate recommendations are suggested.
