Motivation of Primary School Students for English Language Studies

Currently, there are relatively few studies that focus on the motivation to learn foreign languages in children. This diploma thesis focuses on the attitude of primary school students towards the teaching of English. The theoretical part follows the concept of motivation from the point of view of psychology, pedagogy and current researches on foreign language teaching. The purpose of the practical part was to investigate their motivation to learn English and what aspects of teaching can demotivate them. The goal was to record, analyze, evaluate and interpret the obtained data. The research was conducted at a smaller elementary school in Prague, where English language instruction begins in the third grade. Data were obtained by a novel questionnaire with both open and closed questions. The analysis was then performed using mixed research. The quantitative part of the analysis, which monitored the popularity of the subject of English and the assessment of the attractiveness of individual activities in teaching, was carried out first. The qualitative part of the teaching, using open questions, sought answers to the reasons why the teaching is popular or not popular and what motivates the pupils to learn English. The comparison of eating habits of students in 9th class who are the members of Regional Football Academy and students in 9th standard class of primary school

This thesis deals with the comparison of eating habits of 9th grade students who are members of the Regional Football Academy and 9th grade students of regular classes at elementary school. The aim of the thesis is to find out the actual eating habits of 9th grade students who are members of the RFA and to compare them with the eating habits of 9th grade students in regular classes at elementary school. The thesis is divided into five chapters, which include an introduction and a conclusion. The first and second part of the thesis are based on theoretical knowledge through literature research of the developmental period and on eating habits. The third part presents the Regional Football Academy as a project of the Football Association of the Czech Republic. The fourth part focuses on the implementation of a pilot investigation among the target groups and an interview with a physiotherapist of the RFA is presented. The last section contains the summary of the thesis and discussion of the results.

Analysis of communication of alcohol producers on social media

The diploma thesis "Analysis of communication of alcohol producers on social media" deals with marketing communication of alcohol producers on social media. Examines the period from 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2021. The thesis aims to map the marketing communication of alcohol producers on social media in depth, and at the same time to create a sufficiently broad context in which the results can be presented. The topic of alcohol marketing on social media is currently important because it can contribute to the formation of alcohol habits or create obstacles for alcohol consumers who are trying to reduce their consumption. The first part of the thesis establishes the theoretical basis of marketing on social media and legal regulations on alcohol advertisements. The second part of the thesis contains mixed research, which includes both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The results of each method are first interpreted separately and then the results of both researches are combined in the conclusion and presented together.

Study abroad as an opportunity to personal and professional development of future teacher

(English) This thesis is about a role that a study abroad can have for a future teacher. It researches which areas of professional preparation can be most affected by studying abroad and how this experience can contribute to a growth on a personal level. The theoretic part describes studying abroad, with a primary focus on Erasmus+ for pre-gradual students of primary school education. The second chapter argues the phases of gaining pedagogical profession and a possible effect of the abroad study on them. It focuses mainly on the effects on professional growth of a student. The last chapter of theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the effect of an abroad study on the growth of pedagogical persona including the gains to the key competences. The practical part is a mixed research, with the goal of discovering how studying abroad can help the future teachers grow in the areas of personal and professional competences. Musical Attitudes of Children and Their Belief System

4 Summary Exploring the musical preferences in relation to other aspects of human life has a long tradition. The present work is focused on exploring musical preferences with regard to personal value system. The research was designed as mixed method using questionnaire and semi-structured interview. The research sample consisted of 18 pupils aged 16 years. An important part of the research was music questionnaire that tried to clarify those genres, that are not familiar to respondents. Results of the music questionnaire were used as the basis for selection of respondents according to the preferential groups and to compare these groups in relation to certain musical attitudes, home musical environment and above all value system. The overall results of the research point to a very slight tendency to group certain specifics of the respondents which prefer hip hop, metal and classical music. On the contrary, results show a demonstrable impact of home music environment in shaping musical preferences. The unexpected outcome of present study is finding that listeners using the music questionnaire rated more positive the same genre of music compared to rating genres only by their concepts about each genre. Ethical aspects of communication of influencers on Instagram as modern opinion leaders

This diploma thesis, Ethical aspects of influencers' communication on Instagram as modern opinion leaders aims to understand the role of ethics of influencers' communication on Instagram with their audience. The theoretical part focuses on understanding the concept of social networks and also defines the concept of influencer. The introductory part also works with the key concepts of authenticity, self-branding or opinion leader, which brings interesting perspectives on the basis of which influencers can be viewed. The thesis further illustrates the phenomenon of influencer marketing and its possible pitfalls. The research part of the paper focuses on two levels of ethics on Instagram through a mixed research. The first part is a qualitative research that describes the perception of the ethics of influencer communication among users on Instagram, which also serves as preparation for the next phase. The next part is qualitative research using semi-structured interviews with influencers, which aims to map the view of influencers, and what role ethics plays in their work on Instagram.

Evaluation of psychical load on a selected workplace

In recent years, the interest in mental strain has increased, mainly due to the increasing demands of the individual professions. The consequences of mental strain can also influence private life, so it is important to solve such situation. The diploma thesis deals with the psychological burden of the employees in a private company that produces CNC machine parts. The aim was to find out what the level of mental strain on all employees of the company is, using the method of quantitative and qualitative research. Three research questions have been identified. I have examined whether the demographic factors of the worker, the physical factors in the working environment and the way of rest after work affect the psychological burden. The investigation was carried out using three hypotheses. I assumed that a significant level of psychological burden would be present in relation to the age and that it would also vary by gender. I also expected that the differences in the level of psychological burden would be present depending on the length of the years worked in the company. A qualitative survey was conducted using sixteen open questions in a semi-structured interview. The results were divided into eleven categories and there was a mind map created for each of them. For better understanding of the mind maps, the data was extended by quantitative questionnaire research, which was implemented using standardized CBI questionnaires (Copenhagen Burnout Inventory) and the Meister questionnaire. Questionnaire survey was carried out at each workplace of the surveyed company. The data were processed statistically and graphically. Mixed research has not shown a significant level of mental strain on company employees. When compared the ratio of mental strain in relation to gender, it has shown that the strain on both men and women is the same. The length of employment in the company has not reflected into increased rates of mental strain.

The theme of Mermaid and its application in art therapy with the emphasis on gender aspect.

Abstract The thesis deals with the theme of Mermaid in production of art therapy students and externists from the gender point of view. The theoretical part of my thesis creates the context of the myth of mermaid and also the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. It deals with the gender studies and their development, with symbols and colour skale. The mixed research in this thesis presents possibilities of visual version of the Mermaid theme and it shows the main differences between men and women . The research deals with the visual form of the mermaids, their functions and phases of the mythical story. It also reveals the symbols of mermaid myth and their natural habitat and also the potential of the interpretations of the concrete phase of the theme. The interpretations of the chosen phase of the story are within the Rožnov art therapy tradition.

Midwifery psycho-socio-spiritual care for a woman after perinatal loss

The dissertation discusses theis sues of psycho-socio-spiritual care of midwives for a woman after perinatal loss and is mainly focused on interventions that help building an attitude towards perinatal loss (farewell rituals with a baby, collection of mementos) and their influence on grieving process of women after perinatal loss. The objective of the empirical part of the study was to thoroughly describe the experiences of Czech women with parting with a child after perinatal death and investigate the impact of this experience on the grieving process after the perinatal loss. Thesub-objective of the thesis was to validate the Czech version of the Perinatal Grief Scale. We used a mixed methods research design to fulfill the dissertation's objectives. The analyses of qualitative and quantitative data were performed separately and integrated during the interpretation of research findings. The study sample comprised of total 102 women who experienced perinatal loss. The detailed description of experience of Czech women with interventions related to parting with the deceased child was dominated by the decision making process of women about farewell rituals (seeing and holding the baby, receive mementos of it). The key factors that influenced the decision making process were classified as internal (the need of the woman to get to know her child, doubt and fear of contact) and external (emotional support, information provided and a relationship with the midwife/ attending doctor) during our research. The research proved a significant influence of the independent decision of the woman about the contact with her deceased child on the intensity of grief. Grief of women who decided on their own and were confident about their decision was statistically less severe than grief of women whose decision was made by the medical personnel instead. We were checking the intensity of grief of women after perinatal loss using the newly validated Perinatal Grief Scale instrument that can be used as a single factor scale in the Czech Republic. Reliability of the research instrument was established using Cronbach alpha coefficient (? = 0.9545) and indicated high reliability. The outcomes of the mixed research point towards necessary changes in the psycho-social care of midwives for women after perinatal loss.
