Title: Error in the point of view of the French as a second foreign language in the lower secondary school context Author: Mgr. Tomáš Klinka Department: Department of Pedagogy Supervisor: Doc. PhDr. Marie Fenclová, CSc. Abstract: This thesis focuses on the subject of error in the context of Czech lower secondary school and second foreign language (L3) instruction. This work has three purposes: first, to complete the basic literature in this domain using the publications issued from the French speaking world of educational research that are not quoted in the Czech academic field. Second, to analyze how the elements that intervene in the pedagogical process treat the question of error, and third, using the conclusions obtained, to make explicit the problems which pose the present treatment of the question of error and to indicate the direction of a future research in this domain. So as to attain the first goal, we propose and comment the work of some French specialists in the field of educational science and their conclusions, mainly the typology of errors created by Astolfi. As for the second goal, our thesis provides an analysis of the official regulations concerning teaching and learning in the Czech Republic, exposes the mental representations of error with which both students and teachers...

Gliganičová, Jana ; Opatrný, Aleš (advisor) ; Kuźniar, Mariusz (referee)
The bachelor thesis contains the analysis of four volumes of the textbook of world and Czech history for grammar school and high school students, written in Czech language: 'Dějepis pro gymnázia a střední školy', Praha 2001 - 2002, author of it's conception is Petr Čornej. The bachelor thesis evaluates the frequency of content related to Christianity to all of the content of the texbook. This frequency in four volumes is 5,25%, 35,80%, 3,83% and 2,21% respectively. The bachelor thesis also identifies all the negative or positive statements on Christianity. The result of the thesis is that the frequency of content related to Christianity is adequate, if we take into consideration that the textbook mainly deals with political history. The negative and positive statements are not an intention of the authors, but a result of mistakes, clumsiness and unintentional acceptation of historical paterns we could find in school texbooks in era of the former state regime.

Common mistakes Czech students make in English and their Remedial Treatment
Ganev, Ondřej ; Dvořák, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Hofmannová, Marie (referee)
Common mistakes Czech students make in English represent the main topic of the presented master thesis. The theoretical part mainly deals with the presentation of various TEFL (Teaching English as Foreign Language) methods. Moreover, they are discussed from several perspectives, including techniques, strategies and principles while using the particular method, the role of the teacher, his or her relationship with students, and especially the response to errors within each of the methods. The purpose of presenting TEFL methods is to show also the connection between mistakes and methods themselves. Concerning the area of mistakes and their corrections, we focus on the classification of mistakes and their division. The practical part is based on various illustrations of mistakes from students' writing assignments. These mistakes are divided into four major classes, including grammar, spelling, wrong word and word order. The thesis also deals with the remedial treatment which may hopefully reduce the number of possible mistakes. The aim of the thesis is to compare the level of students' English language knowledge at the Secondary School of Tourism in Prague where the author works as an English teacher.
Mistake
Musil, Jan ; Zvára, Michael (referee)
Mistake Abstract The final thesis discusses the issue of mistake in civil law. The aim is to map out in detail the background of the overly brief wording of the law, which is associated with a large number of interpretation problems. The main focus is on the means of inducing a mistake, the question of excusability and the importance of deceit and fraud in legal acts. The text is based on Czech and foreign scholarly literature and case law, especially of the Supreme Court. In the introductory chapters, the wording of law is set in a broader perspective. First, key principles for the interpretation, as well as theories dealing with the issue of the conflict between expression and will, are presented. Subsequently, the historical genesis of the laws on mistake is presented, which is of considerable importance for the subsequent interpretation. One of the pillars of the work is a theoretical division of specific types of errors. Further ways of inducing error are discussed. With the help of historical, logical and systematic interpretation, a conclusion is made about the need to bridge the textual imperfection of the law. The specific nature of deceit is taken into account. An excursion into foreign unification projects, which process the wording of provisions of mistake more precisely is important for the...

Hoffmann, Jan ; Novotná, Jarmila (advisor) ; Mošna, František (referee)
This thesis Pupils' problem solving strategies at lower and upper secondary level brings a focus on the issue outlined by the name. At the same time, it focuses on pupils' strategies to solve problems that are closely related to information literacy. At first I define basic terms for the area of word problems. Consecutively I focus on the theoretical knowledge from the area of problem solving strategies themselves. The content of the experimental part of the thesis is the survey of pupils' solutions of eight selected tasks, by which I was looking for an answer of the three basic questions of this thesis. My experiment is divided into two branches. The first branch of the experiment took place at the lower level of the multi-year grammar schools. The second branch of the experiment took place at the higher grade of the multi-year grammar schools and, to a small extent, at the secondary school. The theoretical part contains views of various authors on issue of problems and word problems. I present and compare these individual approaches. The result is the demarcation of the terms needed for the experimental part of the work. The main aim of the experimental part of the thesis is to find the answers of three basic questions of this thesis, where I was using data from lower and higher grades of...
