The phenomenon of writers committing suicide

This bachelor thesis discusses the phenomenon of writers commiting suicide. Firstly, the theoretical part describes suicide as a psychological phenomenon and presents the risk factors and forms of suicidal behaviour. Great attention is given to the relation between creativity, mental disorders and suicide. Viewegh's concept of bilance suicide among writers is also presented, followed by various research projects focusing on the possible causes of writers taking their own lives. Various studies show that there is a higher percentage of suicide among writers, and especially among poets, than among other artistic careers. The key question of this thesis is whether or not is this "suicidal language" of writers displayed in their works. The psychological analysis of a literary work (e.g. linguistic predictor of suicide) is dedicated to finding answers to this question. Lastly, the limits of previous studies are presented at the end of the theoretical part of this thesis. The empirical part presents a proposal of a research project which aims to replicate previous study on prose texts. Possible limits of this research design as well as possible further research proposals are presented in the discussion. Stigmatization of patients with mental illness

This bachelor's work looks into stigma as a mark of difference. It is specifically targeted on stigmatization of mentally ill people. The aim of this work is to find out which factors affect position of mentally ill people in Czech society and also to find out in what amount is the stigmatization present. Theoretical part of the work contains basic information about mental illnesses and stigmatization in connection with them. It discusses summary of history and describes creation of negative stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination in connection with stigmatization. Next issue of this work is sorting of stigmatization by several criterions. Practical part of the work is a way to get answers to research questions whose target is to find out, how certain individual with mental defect or illness perceive position of mentally ill people and their potential stigmatization. Analysis of six half-constructed interviews is inseparable part of this work and it provided crucial information to this study. In the last part we are given answers to the research questions. Contemporary Finnish Girls' Literature

This thesis deals with the contemporary Finnish girls' literature. It explains what is hidden under the term girls' literature and its typical features. It outlines the development of this genre in Finland from the end of the 19th century up to the present. It tries to capture the themes, which this genre depicts most often nowadays. These are: searching own identity, mental disorders, disorders of food intake, sexuality and homosexuality. Music and movement education for children with mental disabilities

The Thesis is focused on music and physical education as a part of educational process. It has got an irreplaceable importance in children with mental disorders due to inspiration for their own activity and promotion of the whole motor development. This work is dealing with a content of this education, its importance and role in the Special basic school. It also defines mental handicaped childrens' character and the influence of music and physical education on their general development. It describes a variety of music and physical resources and their usage in the music and movement activities as well. These are applicated into a project called." Dancing and singing, with a fairy tale learning". This elaborated project represents specific examples of music and movement activities and their realization in the Special basic school. The system and the financing system of psychiatric care in the Czech Republic in the period 2010-2016

The bachelor thesis focuses on mental health, which is becoming a socio-economic problem these days. Since there is a constant prevalence of patients with mental illnesses and thus an increase of a burden in the economic system, this work explains the system of psychiatric care, which is crucial for the future development of mental health of Czech population. Based on the analysis of the issue it is evident that the effort to manage the care system to community care will do not contribute to the reduction of treatment costs, but on the other hand, will facilitate the accessibility to psychiatric facilities for patients. The funding of psychiatric care is not based on the national health system, which influences the direction of a large part of the funds for treatment in psychiatric hospitals.
Mental Health Care and Financing in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis deals with mental health as a specific and significant part of the health in general. The thesis analyzes mental health determinants and contemporary socioeconomic factors, which are negatively affecting the state of mind and are increasing the probability of occurence of mental disorder. Based on analyzis, the thesis is finding out that the current state organizational structure in mental health care in the Czech Republic mismatches with The World Health Organization's recommendations. Despite some notable efforts trying to restructure the system, changes leading to community service based model are very slow. The crucial part of the thesis is focused on analyzing the mental health expenditures of the General Health Fund during years 2006 to 2012. The major part of mental health expenditures lead to specialized hospitals. The results are confirming the dominant role of the psychiatric hospitals within the mental health care in the Czech Republic.
Orthorexia Nervosa: Pathological preoccupation with healthy eating

This work is introducing orthorexia concept which is not well known in our country and isn´t described as well as it deserves. Different eating disorders are showed in this thesis together with their history and a possibility of the definite orthorexia term. In a further charter of my thesis is orthorexia analyzed again in comparison to different eating and psychological disorders. Choices for curing this disorder are suggested in the last part of the text and orthorexia is also shown in a larger religious context.
Population health by regions in Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with population health. Population health is important discipline bordering with medicine, statistics and public sector economics. It is monitoring method of collection medical information in Czech Republic. It interprets selected indicator and compares them between regions of Czech Republic. It finds probable causes of differences. They we can divide into socioeconomic factors and differences caused by the system of medical statistic evidence. The thesis evaluates and generalizes factors, which influent population health.
Activities of Clients with Mental Disorders at the Centre of Accomodation and Outpatient Social Services Bobelovka Jindřichův Hradec

Theoretical part of my graduation work is focused on defining terms of a mentally ill client, mental retardation, activities of clients with mental retardation and leisure time at the Centre of Accomodation and Outpatient Social Services Bobelovka. Research is divided into two parts: a quantity part with a questionnaire used for collecting data from the staff of the Centre, and the other questionnaire for the management of the Centre. In a quality research was used an interview with the clients´parents and the clients. The aim of this work was to map and evaluate activities of the clients at the Centre of Accomodation and Outpatient Social Services Bobelovka Jindřichův Hradec (Aim 1), finding out parents opinions on the clients´ activities at this Centre (Aim 2), and upon the findings to describe and evaluate the present status of activities at the Centre (Aim 3). All the aims were fulfilled. For the quantity research were determined two hypotheses in advance. The First Hypothesis, that the offer of activities at the Centre Bobelovka does not cover entire concern of the clients, was not affirmed. The Second Hypothesis, that the management of the Centre considers activities of the clients to be adequate and of a good quality, was affirmed. Upon the quality research were determined hypotheses III and IV. The Third Hypothesis states the clients´parents´satisfaction with the activities offered by the Centre Bobelovka. The Fourth Hypothesis states the clients´satisfaction with the activities at the Centre.
