The graduation thesis Analysis of the Spring Governmental Crises in 2011 deals with the process of the intermedia agenda setting during the period from April to June 2011. Within the scope of the empirical part, the explicit references of media to other media are examined with use of quantitative content analysis. Television, radio and printed newscasts media including their internet portals were analyzed. The theoretical source of the work is the relationship between media and politics and agenda setting theory of mass media. A phenomenon of a TV programme 'Q' (Queer) in the Czech Television.

The basic concept of the thesis is an analysis of a TV programme "Q" broadcasted by the Czech Television. The programme surveys queer subculture not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad, deals with searching for identities across the genders and disrupts conventions stemming from values of the heteronormative society. The programme title refers directly to the concept of queer, which represents a social phenomenon bringing about gender and sexual diversity and plurality. The thesis looks at the genesis of the programme from its origins, to its production, its broadcasting and finally its cancellation and replacing with another format. The motivation and reasons of the production team and the management for carrying the programme through and including it in the broadcast programming is discussed here, as well as the related decision-making processes and production mechanisms or the way the authors use feminist theories and gender aspects in the programme. The thesis also takes into consideration the long-term development of the programme's ratings. The main working method is qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews with the programme's authors. In terms of media production the thesis deals with organizational practices in the programme's production.

National museum - view of media as the possible historical source and its limits

Are many historical sources from which to draw the history of the National Museum. There are also a number of studies and monographs on the history of the National Museum, however, none of these works look at the media, audio or audiovisual, as a s historical source. The media could be a special source from which specific and authentic information on the National Museum can be drawn. Film records, as well as radio eithet television broadcasting bring a number of insights and complement the history of the National Museum. This study explores the role of the media as an information resource on the history of the National Museum, together with the identification of the limits of this source form. Based on historiographic procedures and methods known in the field of media science, quantitative and qualitative analysis has enabled the research of unique historical sources in the form of television and radio recordings, which brings insights into the National Museum. In the period under review, the genre variety was found, which mainly offered television and news programs, journalism, educational and entertainment programs. The Singles Phenomenon and its Image in the Mass Media

The bachelor thesis "Phenomenon singles and its image in the mass media" deals with the exploration of the singles media image as it is being depicted in printed mass media and their Internet analogues. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the exploration of the concept of singles, explanation of the used terminology, the emergence of the singles phenomenon, and the description of singles lifestyle. Subsequently, the definition of mass media is provided and the extent of its impact, on forming the opinion of the wider public, is explored. The practical part of the work shows theoretical background of chosen analysis and then uses a method of quantitative content analysis in order to identify the image of singles created by the mass media. The research was carried out on two hundred preselected articles. At the end of the thesis, a summary of the research and its interpretation, based on the chosen theoretical grounding, is made.

Possibilities and impingement of election campaign and public opinion: Sociological analyse of the presidential campaign in Czech Republic 2013

The Diploma thesis concerns itself with the possibilities of election campaigns and their impacts on public opinion on the occasion of the first direct election of the president of the Czech republic. Influencing of the public opinion takes place in a system of public - politics - media, which is described in this thesis. Utilising this system I am going to answer the following question - how effective are election campaigns in influencing election decisions of voters? The witnessed election campaigns were unique in many aspects - they triggered an unprecedented response from the public and the media, which came close to resemble election behaviour in the United States of America, whose presidential election campaigns are considered a classic example. The theoretical background serves the purpose of analysing the election campaign of Karel Schwarzenberg, who, using an online campaign, achieved a result, which surprised a number of agencies examining voters' preferences, and proved, what a good campaign team is capable of given their candidate has strong public support. Next I am going to present assessments of the campaign by political scientists, social scientists and others.
