The subrural catalogue
Malínková, Markéta ; Fabián, Ondřej (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The diploma project deals with the construction of the catalogue houses on the outskirts of villages. In addition to the term suburban, the term subrural is introduced, which describes and names this type of construction. At the same time, the project examines the influence of advertising catalogues on the aesthetics of subrural gardens and the activities performed on them. The work comes with a proposal for an alternative subrural locality in the village of Příkazy near Olomouc. Thanks to the minimization of plots, the labor is also minimized and at the same time space is freed for public orchard running through the entire territory. This creates a diffusion of development into the agricultural landscape and on a smaller scale it creates a spectacular space around private gardens. Prefabricated bricks from hobby markets form the architectural expression of the project. From these elements are assembled objects and fragments of fences located in the landscape. At the same time, the fragments form a newly compiled catalogue, according to which inhabitants build their fences.
The relation between the early mother-child contact after birth and the subjective perception of their relationship
Kolumpková, Michaela ; Horáková Hoskovcová, Simona (advisor) ; Takács, Lea (referee)
This work observes the relation between mother-child early contact immediately after birth and emotional tune of mothers in relation to their child. The theoretical part deals with the situation of labor, further development after birth, with an emphasis on very early contact and ways to establish the relationship between a mother and a child. In the end of the theoretical part, the quality of the relationship between a mother and a child and the interactions between them is described. The empirical part examines if the early contact immediately after birth or a general contact between mothers and babies in the hospital, influence emotional tune of a mother to her child. The research was based on interviews with mothers who were describing their child. It was assumed that the emotional tune of mothers is associated with the choice of adjectives describing their child or the whole situation. However, research does not show a significant relation of early contact and emotional tune of a mother to her child. Based on the research results, the conclusion is that the immediate early contact after birth does not have a significant effect on the quality of the relationship between a mother and her child.
The effect of age on selected prenatal outcomes and breastfeeding
Fontániová, Simona ; Lukšová, Markéta (advisor) ; Tomášková, Zuzana (referee)
: For my bachelor's thesis, I chose the topic Influence of age on selected prenatal outcomes and breastfeeding. The thesis contains a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part, I try to explain the difficulties associated with pregnancy. In the first chapter, I focused on high-risk pregnancy and childbirth. Subsequently, disorders of the duration of pregnancy, which include miscarriage, premature birth, ectopic pregnancy and post-term pregnancy. In the second chapter, I continue with the importance of breastfeeding and, at the same time, breastfeeding problems that can trouble the mother. In the third chapter, I deal with the classification of newborns and birth injuries. For my practical part of the research work, I chose a questionnaire that reached mothers of different age categories via the Internet. I believe that my bachelor's thesis will benefit all women who are not aware of difficulties in pregnancy at an older age. Based on research, I found that age plays an important role in a woman's life during pregnancy. A woman's age has a negative impact both on the ability to get pregnant and on the birth itself and subsequent breastfeeding. Keywords : Breastfeeding, high-risk pregnancy, advanced maternal age, pregnancy, labor, maternal outcomes, fetal outcomes, birth weight,...
Global Production Networks and Labour: Trade Unions in the Automotive Industry of Czechia and Slovakia
Martišková, Monika ; Pavlínek, Petr (advisor) ; Galgoczi, Béla (referee) ; Myant, Martin (referee)
This doctoral thesis focuses on the role of labour in global production networks using the example of the automotive industry in Czechia and Slovakia. Drawing on the agent-based approach, I combine the conceptual framework of global production networks with the trade unions' power resources concept to understand the mechanisms which allow labour to improve working conditions within the integrated periphery of global automotive industry production networks. I base my evidence on qualitative interviews with trade unions' representatives operating at final assembly firms and suppliers, and I complement them with other respondents, such as company managers, sector level and regional level labour union representatives. I conclude that trade unions in the integrated periphery are structurally weak, which poses challenges for future industry development in terms of employment impacts related to decarbonization strategies and the ongoing digitalization of production. The doctoral thesis is composed of four publications where I study trade union strategies and responses related to upcoming changes in the automotive industry. KEY WORDS Automotive industry, trade unions, labour, global production networks, Czechia, Slovakia

Prolegomena to the notion of self-realization: Updating the idea of the abolition of labor following Hegelian and Marxian philosophy
Herden, Paul ; Sepp, Hans Rainer (advisor) ; Ronge, Bastian (referee)
This thesis forms, in the first instance, a critical examination of labor in relation to the notion of self-realization following Hegelian and Marxian philosophy and their theories of action. In the second instance, it is a preliminary study of the concept of fomo (fear of missing out), which will be explored in more detail in the PhD based on the MA. In the first section, a critique of Andreas Reckwitz's and Hartmut Rosa's notions of self-realization is used to present the common view and contemporary engagements with said notion as relevant but insufficient. Both authors act as a proxy for a deficiency that turns out to be an all too great distance from metaphysical and historical-materialist positions and considerations regarding such notion as that of self-realization. Thus, in the main part, not only an attempt is made, by means of a renaissance of Hegelian and Marxian reflections on the concept of self-realization, to plausibilize and remedy this deficiency; moreover, by virtue of a detailed exegesis of their theories of action and examination of their categories, it is pointed out, above all, that Hegelian and Marxian philosophy intends the complete abolition of self-preservation (d. i. alienated and natural labor) and elevation into self-realization, even if both thinkers use the...
"Hegelian movement" in Czechoslovakian philosophy in the nineteen-sixties. Probe into the Czechoslovakian marxist philosophy on the motif of work.
Hanovská, Lenka ; Benyovszky, Ladislav (advisor) ; Chavalka, Jakub (referee) ; Marek, Jakub (referee)
The thesis deals with the Czechoslovakian philosophy in the nineteen-sixties. It focuses not only to its historical description but intends to enter its philosophical thinking from inside and analyse its principal categories. Especially it focuses on the category of work and examines its various formulations, developed in different theoretical perspectives of Czechoslovakian philosophers. This allows distinguish these perspectives in their similarities on one hand and differences on the other. The thesis notably focuses on so called "Hegelian movement" and its evaluation of category of work. This movement, which is in fact the Czechoslovakian variation to the philosophy of praxis, formulates the category of work in its philosophical meaning, i. e. as an ontological category decisive for an origin of the reality and human being. It was originally Hegel, who developed this meaning of category, and Czechoslovakian Hegelian movement continued in developing his ontology adopted through Marx. The Czech philosophers enriched it with aspects of socialistic humanism. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part explains historical conditions of philosophical scientific performance in Czechoslovakia. The second interprets the texts of Czechoslovakian Hegelian philosophers and their expositions of category...
