Mobile App - Journal as a Chat

This application aimed to create a minimalist mobile application for the secure keeping of an electronic diary with the user interface of the instant messaging application. The application is implemented in the Flutter framework and is available for devices with the Android operating system. The work focuses on the design of the application, its implementation, and continuous testing. The result is a journaling application that allows any journal to be locked with its own password, hidden, or even hidden and locked. The application offers a large number of color themes to customize each diary and an original user interface.

This bachelor thesis consists of two parts - a practical and a theoretical one. The practical part is called We were writing between the lines and it is a documentary TV portrait of Marta Bystrovová, who was a journalist in Svobodné slovo for 25 years (between 1966-1991). The editorial office of this journal was situated at Wenceslas Square and because of that, Marta Bystrovová became a direct witness of the milestones in the history of Czechoslovakia (such as 1968 and 1989). Despite the press oppression, she did not hesitate to honestly inform about the events. Therefore the documentary is trying to show how it all influenced her opinions and beliefs. It is also demonstrating that there are ordinary people with extraordinary life story, whom nobody is saying ‚thanks' to, but they undoubtedly contributed to the evolvement of our society. The theoretical part adds facts to the practical one. First of all, it introduces Svobodné slovo, then, in comparison with Rudé právo, it focuses on what were the differences between these two journals and what was the role of Svobodné slovo, which was not, unlike from Rudé právo, under straight control of the leading Communist party, and therefore was trying to inform honestly about what was happening. The journal Omladina in historical context at the beginning of 20th century

This bachelor thesis deals with the thorough analysis of the various issues of the journal Omladina, which was published between 1903-1908 and during its five-year existence was first renamed Nová Omladina, later Komuna. In the theoretical part is highlighted historical and cultural impulses between 19th and 20th century, which had an impact on the content of journal. Attention is also focused on selected personalities from the ranks of responsible editors, publishers and literary active contributors. The practical part focuses on publishing informations, changes in publishing, literary and political contributions and significant cases illustrating the character of journal. The primary aim of this bachelor thesis is to research process the development of journal.
Parisian Journal as a Historical Source

EN The present work describes and compares French Armagnac dynasty and its allies. It primarily uses two period works, in which there is not only an image of Armagnac's recorded but also a long list of their actions on the soil of the French kingdom. Thanks to the specificity of the both main sources, the work also deals with the approach of thinking and perception of the authors who revealed their sympathies, antipathies and their own opinions through their personality. With this partiality, there is an opportunity to get different views of the Armagnacs, as well as their greatest enemies Burgundians. The aim of this work is to familiarize a reader with the Armagnac's dynasty, in a way as the period authors have seen and described. Also, try to discover the attitudes and beliefs that they left at lines of their works that are dated back to the high medieval France. The diploma thesis presents Tarsicius, a Czech magazine for altar servers, in comparison with its German counterpart MINIPOST. It comes with an analysis of the content of both periodicals - with a focus on individual sections and on the graphic aspect. On the basis of partial analyses and comparations it describes and evaluates the pastoral significance of both magazines for the formation of altar servers.
The first year of operation of Newsweek magazine on Czech media market

This bachelor thesis is focusing on functioning of Czech language edition of Newsweek, which started its production on local media market in November 2015 and was closed down after thirteen months in December of upcoming year 2016. The goal of publishers and editorial staff was to offer potential readers information from foreign countries under famous and licensed American brand. Aim of this thesis is to introduce beginnings and functioning of Czech Newsweek, as well as to compare it with its original model and likewise focused magazine Reportér. Content analysis of Czech Newsweek and Reportér is also a subject of interest of this bachelor thesis. Due to unexpected termination of production was researched sample extended to all published issues, in order for this text to properly reflect the process and possible reasons for stopping the circulation of this Czech licensed magazine. Theoretical findings, utilized to classify Newsweek within Czech media market in first chapter, were gained from professional publications connected to media functioning and history. The subject of my thesis are Czech and Slovak periodicals in the field of librarian and information science - their concise history, determination of the current terminology in this field and publishing work, description of the editorial staff and the roles of its members, reviewing procedure and editorial work applied to specific examples of both printed and electronic media, specification of formal appurtenances of a specialized article, citation and information ethics. The following chapter deals with the characteristics of the current specialized periodicals issued in the Czech and Slovak Republic. The research oriented part focuses upon the topical analysis of librarian periodicals, further the results of two questionnaires relating to editorial work are discussed as well as various preparatory stages of a specialized periodical. The main topic of this bachelor's thesis is the diary phenomenon, more specifically diary as a form of art or other visual form, such as photography. The purpose of its theoretical part is to briefly describe the general evolution of the traditional diaries and personal journals and subsequently deal with the diary as a specific form of art piece. This part also introduces Czech visual artists who used to work/still work with the diary phenomenon creatively - Vladimír Fuka, Jiří Kolář, Josef Jindřich Šechtl and František Skála. Theoretical part also deals with the new contemporary virtual forms of diaries such as personal websites, blogs and social networking sites, shows some of their specific examples (chosen from unique public social network profiles/accounts as well as from interesting online art projects). and describes generally the brief history of this phenomenon. The practical part of the thesis introduces author's own photographic diary project consisting of everyday photos taken to show personal feelings during her study stay abroad.
