Child with ADHD in the Children's Home
KLIMEŠOVÁ, Kristýna
The bachelor's thesis " Child with ADHD in the Children's Home" aims to find out what experiences children's home workers have with children who have been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The work consists of two parts - practical and theoretical. The theoretical part describes the causes of the disorder, diagnostic criteria and treatment of ADHD syndrome. Besides that, the thesis describes the basic and also the associated syndromes of the disorder. In the conclusion of the theoretical part are described the facilities for institutional and protective education. The practical part consists of the semi-structured interviews with children's home workers and observation. The obtained data are analyzed with the "card layout" method.
Aggression in patiens with psychosis
Nichtová, Andrea ; Vevera, Jan (advisor) ; Papežová, Hana (referee) ; Končelíková, Dana (referee)
Most psychiatric patients do not behave aggressively, but they very often become victims of aggressive behaviour. However, in the practical part of this work, we focused on the phenomenon of aggressive behaviour in psychotic patients, and we address victimization of psychotic patients in the theoretical part because it is one of the most important predictors of aggressive behaviour not only in psychiatric patients but also in the general population. In the literature, we encounter three basic immediate causes of aggressive behaviour - psychotic, impulsive, and predatory (planned) - which we observed in hospital conditions. Specifically, we focused on impulsive behaviour in aggressive patients, given that it is assumed that psychotic patients have difficulties in this area. The aim of this study was to examine the immediate causes of aggressive behaviour and provide data from the Czech Republic on their prevalence. Another goal was to determine whether the factor structure in our work is consistent with the three hypothesized factors described by Nolan et al. Another goal was to explore impulsive behaviour in psychotic patients in light of the reported reduced impulse control and emotional dysregulation associated with the emergence of aggressive behaviour in psychotic patients. The study aimed to...
Specifics of tennis training for children with ADHD
Slavíková, Magdalena ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Specifics of tennis training for children with ADHD Objectives: The main objective of this study was to propose a set of educational-psychological recommendations and strategies for coaches and parents to maximize the effectiveness and positive effects of tennis training for children with the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Methods: Three children with ADHD were observed during tennis training. The observation took place during a training session. This method allowed the author to collect data directly in the children's environment. In addition, a controlled structured interview based on ten prepared questions that focused on working with children with ADHD was conducted with a coach of the three children mentioned above. The interview related to working with children with ADHD, teaching strategies and the future of these children in tennis. The interview data were analyzed using the grounded theory, which helped to identify key aspects and patterns in the coach's responses. The results of these analyzes were used to create proposals for pedagogical strategies for working with children with ADHD in tennis. Results: The results of our study provide a comprehensive picture of the situation of children with ADHD in the context of tennis training. Observation revealed specific...
Attitudes of primary school teachers to the education of ADHD students
SOBĚHARTOVÁ, Martina
The diploma thesis deals with the approaches of second-level primary school teachers to the inclusion of pupils with ADHD disorder in mainstream classes. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the specifics of the education of pupils suffering from ADHD. In the empirical part, quantitative research examines the approaches of educators to the inclusion of individuals diagnosed with ADHD disorder in the ordinary class of the second grade of elementary school. The research focuses mainly on the procedures and methods that teachers use in the education of pupils diagnosed with ADHD.
Motor performance of pupils with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Otipková, Zuzana ; Lejčarová, Alena (advisor) ; Musálek, Martin (referee)
Title: Motor performance of pupils with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Objectives: The aim of the work was to determine the level of fine and gross motor skills of upper extremities of the pupils with diagnosis ADHD at schools specialized on these pupils and compare it with the fine and gross motor skills of upper extremities of children without this diagnosis at common elementary school. Further work objective was to determine the level of gross motor skills of lower limbs and laterality of paired organs (hand - foot) within above mentioned groups of pupils. Methods: To determine the level of fine and gross motor skills of upper extremities, gross motor skills of lower limbs, laterality of the upper and lower extremities of the pupils with and without ADHD aged 9-11 years we used these types of tests: "Spiral", "Dotting test", "Beads" (the level of fine motor skills of the upper extremities); "Pack", "Small plate tapping", "Big plate tapping" (the level of gross motor skills of upper extremities); "Tapping the leg" (the level of gross motor skills of the lower limbs); "Typing out the Rhythm" (the laterality of the lower limbs); "Bell" and "Matches" (the laterality of the upper extremities). Results: The fine motor level of dominant hand was in the case of ADHD diagnosed pupils...
The relationship of impulsivity, in-game purchases and game patterns with symptoms of problematic gaming (IGD) in smartphone gamers
Linhart, David ; Lukavská, Kateřina (advisor) ; Vanek, Marián (referee)
This thesis examined predictors of Internet gaming disorder (IGD) and tried to verify, based on quantitative research, its relationship with impulsivity, in-game purchases within a specific free-to-play RPG game and game patterns (frequency of logins during a day, level of participation regarding game events and a period of playing a specific game) in smartphone gamers. The relationship between impulsivity and in-game purchases was also examined. Firstly, in the theoretical part, the theory of behavioural addiction was introduced, attention was then dedicated to characterization of IGD, its current conceptualization, topical model of development and maintenance, prevalence, consequences and etiological factors, after that, factors researched in this thesis, were theoretically explained. Cross-sectional design was used to examine these relationships by sending questionnaires to Czechoslovak gamers using a channel in an app Discord. Impulsivity was measured by a short version of a UPPS-P scale, to measure Internet gaming disorder an IGDT questionnaire was used, while in-game purchases were measured by self-categorization inspired by previous research and new questionnaires were created for game patterns. To analyse the data t-tests, ANOVA, correlation analysis, linear regression and binominal...
