The Analysis of recruitment and employee selection

The main goal of this Bachelor thesis is to analyse the processes of recruitment and employee selection in Equa bank a.s., identify their strengths and weaknesses and suggest possible optimization. The first part of the thesis describes theoretical principles, methods and characteristic of recruitment and employee selection. The second part examines through observation, interviews with employees of the human resources department and analysis of internal documents how these processes are carried out in this particular company. In the end of the thesis the processes are evaluated and the improvements that would lead to optimization and higher effectiveness are suggested.
Challenges in Human Resource Management till the year 2020

The thesis is divided into theoretical, methodological and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the development of management considering HR aspects, the development of the concept of HR work with detail on the models of human resource management and the importance of human resources. In the methodological part, the methods of research are presented. The research itself, its results and subsequent recommendations for HR professionals are described in the practical part of the thesis. First, the key challenges in human resource management are identified and characterized. These challenges are subjected to qualitative and quantitative researches and then the results are compared to Europe-wide survey by The Boston Consulting Group. The final chapter gives practical recommendations to HR professionals and executive managers how to work with the most key HR challenges so that HR professionals are treated as the business partners and the future competitiveness of a company in the market is ensured.
Diversity management: Managing people with different personality characteristics

The dissertation thesis aims at exploring the possibilities of diversity management in relation to managing people with diverse personality characteristics, at suggesting principles of such managing and at creating corresponding model so that employers could use the available human capital more efficiently and improved quality of working life of their employees as well. Based on number of primary sources, the thesis presents a detailed view of the topic, justifies its purpose and use in practice and brings the topic into broad context of human resource management. The principles of managing personality diversity are suggested, subsequently confronted with the practice in the Czech Republic and transformed into a model: Using an extensive questionnaire survey and both quantitative and qualitative analysis of gathered data, the conclusions confirm importance of the topic for human resource management in the Czech Republic, and point out the current unsatisfactory state that organizations themselves are often trying to improve. Thus, this thesis contributes significantly to better understanding of principles and established practice of managing people with different personality characteristics and offers possibilities how to introduce the topic into practice successfully.
Assessment of personnel work in the mining company

The aim of this Bachelor's Thesis is to analyze selected personnel activities in the company Orion Minerals. Furthermore, to evaluate these activities and suggest their optimization. The theoretical part includes basic concepts and description of certain personnel activities. In order to write the theoretical part I used technical literature and my own knowledge gained by studying at university. The practical part describes how personnel activities are under way in the company. Required information has been identified on the basis of interviews with the management and personnel manager, studying internal documents and observation the personnel officers' work during my practical work. In the final part of the thesis I described the advantages and disadvantages of the company from my point of view, then a number of recommendations were suggested. Also were compared ascertained facts with theoretical knowledge.
Personal audit of B-Original dance school

Thesis deals with obtaining, selection and adaptation of employees in company XYZ. It is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the theoretical background of the issue. The second part is practical and examines analysis of individual processes within a specific company. To find out about those processes, it took several interviews with the manager of the human resources department of the company. The practical part also includes finding the weaknesses and solutions for improvement.

It is especially characteristic of small company, personnel work in the company and defines individual personnel actions. The practical part focuses on the analysis of personnel activities, their description according to sources from the company. Subsequent evaluation and suggestions to improve this work. Employee Care

The aim of the Bachelor's Thesis Employee Care is to introduce the issue of providing employee benefits (regarding both employee and employer) and to analyse their offer in the Czech Republic. To achieve this, a questionnaire was created. Its task was to determine which employee benefits are offered to employees, which of them are really used, which employee benefits employees would like to have, whether they have enough information about the benefits system in their company, or what kind of system they prefer. Moreover, the questionnaire contains additional information about the company (size, specialization, etc.) and about the employee (age, gender etc.), which was used for deeper analysis. The results of the analysis can be found in the practical part of the thesis and then they are summarized at the end of the Bachelor's Thesis.
Use of social networks for recruitment

This bachelor thesis deals with social networks and their use in recruitment process. The aim is to assess whether social networks can become the main method for recruitment, to find out recruiters' opinion on the use of social networks and to compare these findings with the period of three years ago. Finally, also to characterize the selected social networks and to compare their applicability. The theoretical part is devoted to the introduction of human resource management and recruitment. It also gives an overview of social networks, their history and statistics of today's use. Next part discusses the possibilities of social recruitment followed by analysis of social networks Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Practical part contains analysis of data obtained from interview and questionnaire study carried out among HR specialists. The results were compared to the same research conducted in 2012.
Ratings and Evaluation of Players in Professional Hockey Clubs

The aim of this bachelor thesis has been to approach two selected activities and methods from human resource management used by ice hockey clubs. Specifically, it has been about evaluation of the players of selected ice hockey clubs. The practical part has been based on interview which had been made with the employees of the clubs that deal with this issue. The semi-structured interview had been used, where the questions were arranged according to the activities they have been related to. The benefit of the practical part has been to provide the information about the evaluation methods the selected ice hockey clubs use. Qualitative data has been collected. The result of this bachelor thesis has been the comparison between the methods of evaluation of each clubs, advantages and disadvantages of each method and the forms of evaluation. The result of this thesis can be used as a way how to reduce wage costs in ice hockey clubs.
