Function Generator with the Android Operating System
Neradilková, Aneta ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Function generators are equipments that generate a wide range of waveforms. This bachelor’s thesis introduces the function generator and Arduino platform. On the basis of familiarity with the function generator and the Arduino platform is designed proposal generator using Arduino kit and draft flowchart for generating four waveforms. This proposal is implemented and describes the different parts of the generator, hardware and software. The functionality of the generator is tested using an oscilloscope.
Laboratory waveform generator based on DDS
Kret, Tomáš ; Povalač, Aleš (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
The project concerns about design of function generator based on direct digital synthesis, its software and hardware realisation. It solves generating functions depended on time like sine, triangle and square with variable duty cycle, burst and other functions of frequency sweep, FM and PWM modulation. Next goal is to display user interface on graphic LCD display and to control microcontroler pheripheries of AVR.
Frequency Stability of Function Generators - Estimation of the Uncertainty of Indirect Measurement
Šmoldas, Michal ; Uher, Miroslav (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
In the thesis are discussed monitored the technical parameters of function generators and theory of standard measurement uncertainties, which consists of a mathematical model to evaluate the short-term stability frequency. According to the assembled model was realized measurement and evaluation of the standard uncertainty of short-term frequency stability.
Instrument driver for two-channel waveform generator Aim-TTi TG501xA series
Opravil, Michal ; Klusáček, Stanislav (referee) ; Čala, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with designing and describing of instrument driver for generator Aim-TTi TG501xA series in LabVIEW development environment. In the thesis is defined the structure and requirements for creating of instrument driver for Aim-TTi TG5012A generator. Therein are also mentioned the parameters and advantages of the generator. To meet the requirements for the instrument driver the functions were defined, thereby generator may be controlled over USB or LAN. The other supplied functions are determined to generate all available signals and set their parameters. The validity of parameters set are examined by the function for monitoring of set-up that reads the data from error register of the generator and verifies the correctness of the adjustment of parameters. All functions uses the NI VISA libraries containing the functions for communication and functions providing read and write support for the device. All created functions were tested on generator TG5012A communicating via USB and LAN. For better comprehension, there is a set of examples given demonstrating the involvement and applicability of each function.
DDS waveform generator
Čada, David ; Tejmlová, Lenka (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This project deals with design and realization of the function generator using a direct digital synthesis. This work solves hardware and software of the function generator, which is capable to generate following shapes: sine, trialngle, square with variable duty cycle, pulse width modulation, frequency shift keying, pulse, linear frequency sweeping, logaritmic frequency sweeping, and programable signals of a serial peripherial interface.
Laboratory module of class D amplifier with PWM modulation
Barcík, Peter ; Petržela, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes basic functional blocks of class D audio amplifier. Project also discuss about design of module class D audio amplifier with PWM modulation. As this audio amplifier is going to be a laboratory module, it is necessary to divide design into designs of individual functional blocks. Finally project describes design of output LC filter which is also simulated in PSPICE program. This thesis include complete construction details. Measurement results are shown in standard protocol.

Precise function generator
Snopek, Petr ; Horský, Pavel (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of the project is to design a concept of function generator with digital synthesis. The device will be controlled using microprocessor which allows synthesizing basic functions (sin, square, raw) as well as arbitrary functions stored in memory. User friendly graphical interface will be controlled by keyboard and rotary switch (IRC). The work emphasizes correct selection of DDS clock source, circuit elements and proper application of signal filtration method with attention to low distortion and low output phase noise.
Design of the voltage controlled oscillator
Richter, Vladimír ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issues of voltage controlled oscillators. It analyses their current state and provides the examples of them. It also describes phase locked loop stages and the usage of voltage controlled oscillators in phase locked loops. The main aim of this thesis is to design a voltage controlled oscillator and use it to realize the important simulations.
Function generator with direct digital synthesis
Gál, Radek ; Prokopec, Jan (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes the design and construction of function generator, which is based on an integrated circuit of a direct digital synthesis. The device has two outputs; first generates harmonic or triangular wave and second generates square wave. Adjustment of output signal is enable with using the buttons, the incremental rotation sensor and potentiometer and displaying by using the LCD display. Generator allows adjust output frequency in range from 1 Hz up to 10 MHz with 1 Hz step size, output voltage smoothly 0 – 10 V peak-peak or using -20 dB attenuator and dc-offset in range from -5 V to +5 V. Device has RS232 interface for connect with the PC.
