Interface for plethysmographic sensor
Špánik, Šimon ; Barcík, Peter (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of photoplethysmography and the signal produced by the photoplethysmographic sensor. The goal is to design a laboratory device that would serve as an interface between a photoplethysmographic sensor and a computer. The work describes the anatomy and function of the human heart, the principle of photoplethysmography, and the properties of the sensor in terms of input and output signals. Also presented here is the method of powering and filtering the relevant circuits in the form of an additional printed circuit board for a standard Arduino microprocessor module, which is powered by USB. Furthermore, in the work, it is possible to find a solution to the influence of unwanted signals using filter analog circuits and the minimization of the measured signal's own noise, which prevents the signal from continuous values to discrete time and subsequent storage using a computer application on the data storage for subsequent signal processing.
High-power LED driver for under-water communication
Hroch, Vojtěch ; Barcík, Peter (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on design of a transmitter for optical links in water using power LED. This thesis analyzes commercial availability of LEDs and their properties, power transistors needed to switch the diods and choice suitable transistor drivers. Furthermore, the thesis is focuse on modulations, which are using in optical communication. Work mentions some aspects of this issue for the underwater signal transmission in terms of the required wavelength depending on the attenuation of optical signals in water. Next solved problematic is designs of circuits including the the design of printed circuit boards. Last part in this work is evaluation of achieved results in comparison with expectations and the possibility of futher improvements.
Characteristics of the atmosphere of Mars for optical communication
Marčák, Tomáš ; Barcík, Peter (referee) ; Hudcová, Lucie (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue and research of atmosphere of the planet Mars for optical communication. The main goal of this thesis was to introduce the transmission through the atmosphere of the Mars and define possible wavelengths which could be used as possible communication. This thesis mainly introduces the optical communication and facts about the atmosphere of the planet. The main chapter presents more detailed analysis of composition of the atmosphere, the impact of the composition that is used for the radiation transmission. Lastly there are presented the results of the calculations and characteristics of the transmission through the Mars atmosphere. The next chapter is focused on theory of optical transmitters and its division. Subsequently, thesis describes the program for calculation of temporal, spatial and energetic characteristics of optical beam.
Detector of optical beam position
Lukáč, Vladimír ; Barcík, Peter (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of an optical beam position detector with the required parameters. The aim was to select a suitable photodetector that captures light rays and converts them into photocurrent, to design photocurrent processing into a voltage signal with linear properties and specified parameters, to convert the analog form of the voltage signal into digital information with which a microcomputer or microcontroller can work. The analog part of the work is simulated in the program OrCAD PSpice, in which the functionality and correctness of the designs is confirmed. The digital part processes the voltage signal to the information of the used channel, its level displays this data on the display.
High-speed interrogation of sensors with Bragg grating
Lahoda, Vladimír ; Řeřucha,, Šimon (referee) ; Barcík, Peter (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with high-speed evaluation of Bragg diffraction gratings for sensory purposes. The aim of the project is to design the hardware and software of the electronic unit, which will amplify the analog signal from the photodetectors and distribute all data using a network interface. A programmable gate array is used for data collection and accumulation, which provides control and communication between a single-board computer and an analog-to-digital converter. In addition to the evaluation itself, other functions are included, such as excitation and stabilization of the optical power of the laser diode, or temperature stabilization of critical components. The proposed concept is experimentally verified on mounted printed circuit boards.
Prediction of the atmospheric turbulence
Sloboda, Šimon ; Barcík, Peter (referee) ; Hudcová, Lucie (advisor)
The aim of this work is to examine theoretical knowledge of the refractive index structure parameter and models for its calculation and prediction. Based on data downloaded from meteorological services, the accuracy of refractive index structure parameter prediction using Sadot-Kopeika model was evaluated at ten different locations on Earth. A program was created for the calculation and prediction of the refractive index structure parameter, which uses downloaded meteorological data.
Direct conversion RF Front-end transceiver module for 5G-NR in sub-6GHz band
Kaleta, Lukáš ; Barcík, Peter (referee) ; Waldecker, Miroslav (advisor)
Thesis describes in a several steps dign of a front-end module for SDR transceiver to be used for communication in the sub-6GHz bad of the 5G network. Module uses an homodyne frequency mixing and is capable of 2x2 MIMO comunication. Desigh includes the block diagram layout, choosing the right components and parametr simulations of the module. Furthermore, the work continues with the design of the schematic, PCB, implementation and testing of the module. Slight description of the 5G NR network, direct conversion, digital signal modulation and connection performance i salso part of this document.
