Vilímová, Zuzana ; Kucharská, Anna (advisor)
TITLE: Perception and coping with the specific learning disabilities impacts on everyday life of children with this diagnosis. ABSTRACT This text is focused on recognition of impacts of the specific learning disabilities on everyday life as the children with this diagnosis themselves see it and the strategies used by these children in order to cope with these disabilities. The theoretical part summarizes the necessary knowledge of the early school age developmental stage, the interaction of a child with the family, and briefly the stress and the coping. The results of previous mothers of specific learning disabilities diagnosed children research are also presented. The empirical part is based on semi-structured interviews with six children diagnosed with the specific learning disabilities attending fourth or fifth grade of primary school. Based on it's qualitative analysis, the thesis attempts to clarify how the specific learning disabilities diagnosed children perceive and experience the impacts of this disabilities on them and how do they cope with it. KEYWORDS specific learning disabilities (SLD), child, family, school, failures, coping strategy

LED failures
Doležal, Petr ; Krbal, Michal (referee) ; Pavelka, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with description of the principle generation light in the LED light sources. In the text we can find principle function of LED, history, possibilities of brightness control, power supply and various types of structures. There are described photometric and electrical parameters. Other part of this thesis is the description of effects leading to failure and malfunction of LED light sources. The practical part of this thesis contains measuring on samples of power LED emitting white light and verification of operational effect leading to the failure of LED light sources.
Characteristic Piston Ring Failures and Their Corrective Methods
Orság, Josef ; Knotek, Jiří (referee) ; Raffai, Peter (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis concerns the most common failures of piston rings. The first part of this thesis focuses on the design of a piston ring and on the load affecting it. The second part describes various kinds of lubrication. This section also shows, which lubrication states occur during operation of internal combustion engines. And final part is devoted to the most common failures of the piston rings and how to prevent them.
Software for evidention of error cases
Menšík, Tomáš ; Andrš, Ondřej (referee) ; Kovář, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the elaboration and registration of reporting failures on machinery equipment during performance of works operational maintenance support team. Software is tested in operation at Honeywell Brno. The aim of this thesis is to design software in Excel VBA development environment that can manage statistically and graphically present the results of usability machinery.
Detection of Failures and cavities in structures using radar
Tkadleček, Petr ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis describes non-destructive testing and methods, which are used in civil engineering. It is focused on the detection of failures and cavities in concrete structures. In the first part the methods are described and compared. The second part describes experimental measurements on concrete structures, which contain failures. The results are described and interpreted. The used methods are compared. It was evaluated, which of these methods is suitable for the detection of failures and cavities in structures.

Fontánová, Barbora ; Cihelková, Eva (advisor) ; Pavlík, Petr (referee)
Humanitarian aid as it is known in present days has its origins in 19th century and since then it has gone through many important changes, developments and streams of thoughts. The aim of this thesis is to describe the changing character of humanitarian aid, its constraints and failures and the means of tackling them with emphasis on evolution during the last twenty years. The thesis deals mainly with failures caused by inaccurate assessment of needs of the victims of humanitarian crisis, constraints complicating complying with the principles of humanitarian action, limitations arising from the respect of state sovereignty and the problem of misappropriation of humanitarian aid and corruption. Economic Rationale for Industrial Policy in Developing Countries
Matyáš, David ; Klosová, Anna (advisor) ; Araujo, Ricardo (referee)
This thesis goes through basic principles of industrial policy in developing countries and analyses examples of recent industrial policies in BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) in the last two decades. The analysis shows the coexistence of unsuccessful and fruitful stories of industrial policy implementation. In the text, I focus especially on the last two decades. I recognize that industrial policy can have a positive impact on economy in some cases, but on the other hand, government failures are frequent and they can result in deep distortions of economic systems and waste of resources. Since 90s', pro-active approach positively contributed to the growth primarily in China and India -- although the progress of these two countries differs substantially. These two countries were (and still are) relatively poorer than Russia and Brazil. Typically, industrial policy in BRIC countries broadly overrides problems of corporate governance, corrupt practices and bureaucratic burdens.
Design processes in customer care and support
Müller, Vladimír ; Říhová, Zora (advisor) ; Roulová, Petra (referee)
The Diploma thesis is engaged in the modelling of business processes, focusing on their design. Especially processes in area of providing support and customer care. The main goal of the thesis is application modelling method for selected business processes in a particular company engaged in telecommunications services. The theoretical part is focused on processes, process management and standards for the business process modelling. In the practical part are then described selected processes related to ABC satellite television services. These processes are designed by selected methodology. Under the proposed processes that take place after activation are calculated costs of operation the process (financial, human resources). These costs are calculated to the time when it is expected to 200,000 customers of ABC satellite television. Summary of costs is in evaluating the proposal.
