Employing museum and gallery education in preschool education

The bachelor thesis deals with the use of museum and gallery education in preschool education. The aim of the thesis is to find out what activities in this direction take place beyond the guided activities implemented directly in kindergartens. The following thesis deals with the theoretical definition and implementation of a short-term project consisting of a visit to one selected gallery, followed by an art series. The thesis further consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of the preschool child, the definition of the gallery and the museum. and the relationship of these institutions to the RVP PV. The next part defines the current concept of art education in preschool education and presents a didactic model of planning art activities, with a link to the practical part where this model is realized. The practical part is divided into two parts: a research probe and a didactic part. In the research probe, interviews were conducted with teachers in kindergartens. The transcribed interviews were subsequently coded using the open coding method. Nymburk in the Changes of Time - educational programme for secondary schools

The aim of this diploma thesis is to compile and subsequently implement an educational programme focused on the history of the royal town of Nymburk. The educational programme is called Křížem krážem Nymburkem or Nymburk in the Changes of Time. The aim of this work is also to reveal the weaknesses of the educational programme that has already been implemented and to suggest changes for further implementation. The first part of the thesis focuses on a comparison of educational programmes in Nymburk district offered by the following remembrance institutions: the State District Archive of Nymburk, located in Lysá nad Labem, the Polabské muzeum Poděbrady, the Polabské národopisné muzeum Přerov nad Labem, the Nymburk City Museum ant the Loučeň castle. In this part the thesis also deals with the theory of educational programmes, how the programmes should be created from a professional point of view, what educational elements should be included according to the age category. A suitable tool for primary school pupils is experiential pedagogy, which is also used in the submitted educational programme. Educational potential of the collection of ancient plaster casts at Duchcov Chateau

The diploma thesis focuses on the educational potential of the collection of plaster casts of ancient sculpture, which is exhibited at the chateau Duchcov in an exhibition entitled Enchanted by Antiquity. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the introduction and history of the collection of plaster casts of ancient sculpture belonging to the Institute of Classical Archaeology of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University and its selected parallels abroad. In this part of the thesis the educational programs and events in these foreign institutions are also discussed. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the current state of education for the exhibition Enchanted by Antiquity and mainly to the analysis of the educational potential of this exhibition. It also includes a practical part devoted to the preparation, realization and evaluation of the pilot educational program entitled On Mount Olympus. Following the tracks of Greek myths and legends, which is intended for the 2nd grade of elementary school. The Brewery Museum in Pilsen: history, exhibitions and educational programmes

The master thesis of the Brewery Museum in Pilsen, its history, exhibitions and educational programmes, is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the brief history of the Brewery Museum in Pilsen, its current and planned exhibitions and the museum's cooperation with the Pilsen breweries. The following chapter deals with museum pedagogy, in addition to legislation and important concepts, the reader will also read useful advice for creating educational programmes. The next three chapters deal with creating educational programmess commissioned by the Brewery Museum. The third and fourth chapters contain a description of tours with educational elements. One is entitled "Following the traces of ancient Pilsen with a four-legged friend" and in addition to an outline of Pilsen's history, during this tour pupils will learn a lot of information about the life of ordinary people in medieval cities. The second programme is entitled "How liquid bread was brewed in Pilsen" and contains activities leading to an understanding of beer brewing patterns and the importance of brewing for the development of the city of Pilsen. The fifth chapter describes an educational programme called "Na den bečvářem" and introduces pupils to the traditional craft of cooperage and its offshoots of beverage.
The Secret of Monastic Walls: Educational programmes for the Franciscan Monastery in Prague

The diploma thesis deals with the establishment and implementation of educational programs for the first grade of elementary schools on the basis of the principles and approaches of good interpretation in the environment of the living Franciscan monastery at the Church of the Virgin Mary of the Sněžné in Prague. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the methodology of good interpretation, st. Francis of Assisi, the Order of the Franciscans and the history of the Franciscan monastery, its origin and construction development. Authorial Book as a Resource for Museum Education

The work focuses on the use of author's books in an educational environment. The theoretical part deals with the definition of museum pedagogy. It deals with the relationship between the gallery and the school and singles out the principles of gallery and museum education. It also describes the work of a museum pedagogue. Emphasis will also be placed on the issue of the concept of an author's book. The theoretical part further deals with the creation of educational materials and their subsequent analysis of selected cultural institutions. The analysis is carried out on current textbooks and worksheets from the educational giants of art education and Czech language and literature. At the same time, it defines their current concept. In the practical part, the work deals with the creation of the author's educational book, which is based on the findings of the theoretical part. Cultural heritage education in selected programmes of the Archeoskanzen Březno

The thesis focuses on the development of a concrete proposal for categorizing the objectives of the activities that take place within the educational program of the Archeoskanzen Březno Living Prehistory. This proposal is preceded by the definition of those areas of pedagogy in which we classify museums in general and the educational programmes of archaeoskanzens in particular. An integral part of this work is also a general categorisation of educational objectives in terms of the framework educational programmes, their cross-cutting themes and educational areas, and in terms of taxonomies of objectives. In the proposed categorization of objectives, the objectives from these areas are categorized and defined in order to make the educational programs of the institution clearer for primary school teachers and to set appropriate conditions for the evaluation of these programs in the context of regular teaching. The thesis also includes an analysis of the submitted proposal, which was created in order to further clarify the expected objectives of the educational programs and to find areas with the potential to improve or increase the educational impact of the educational programs on primary school students.
l hygiene of preschool children in mikroregion Czech Budweis

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to educate parents in the field of the dental hygiene of their preschool children. The thesis also conducts a survey of the observed respondents from České Budějovice and evaluates if their children's dental care is adequate. The theoretical part deals with the importance of temporary teeth for the appropriate evolution of a child, the origin and causes of the tooth decay as well as the preventive measures which eliminate any oral cavity diseases. The practical part contains the educational programme which was formed via the entrance questionnaire and its aim was to improve the quality of dental hygiene of preschool children. The effectiveness of the educational programme was verified by the analysis of the entrance and final questionnaire and its consequential comparison.
Education as a tool for learning about national cultural monument of Buchlov Castle

The thesis is focused on the interconnection of education and knowledge of the history presented in the environment of national cultural monuments. The main aim is clarification the concept of education and introduce it as one of the tools for the interpretation of cultural heritage. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first part of this thesis describes the main educational principles and possibilities of using education in practice applied to monuments. On the basis of examples of implemented educational programs on selected monuments, the extracted data are in principle used to compile an educational program in the environment of the national cultural monument - Buchlov Castle. Through the presentation of a real historical event, an educational syntax is designed in the form of a story, which mediates the knowledge of life in a certain historical period. In the practical part is included the connection between the wider history and historical events of Buchlov Castle. All of information are used and combined into an educational program presenting knowledge of the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance period. Museum educational programmes for National Pedagogical Museum of J. A. Comenius in Prague

The main aim of the Diploma Theses is to prepare, verify in practice and evaluate museum educational programme for pupils from 12 to 18 (junior schools and secondary schools) which is devoted to the changes in schooling in 20th century. The aim is to introduce to pupils historical facts by the means of three educational programmes and interactive elements in the exhibition. Pupils work with topics covering World War II, 50s and so called normalization period. Throughout the educational process they will use period realia from the above mentioned periods, such as schoolbooks, educational boards and educational aids from the collection of Comenius National Pedagogical Museum and Library in Prague.
