Muscle mass estimation using alternative methods in children

Title: Muscle mass estimation using alternative methods in children Objectives: The aim of the work was to find out whether there were simple alternative methods for estimating the amount of muscle mass in younger school-age children based on the data obtained from the Children and Youth Sports Festival. Methods: The work has the character of a cross-sectional study. There were 101 children included in the survey participants who were measured in three cities in the Czech Republic. The bioelectric impedance InBody 720 was used to measure the body composition and the tape measure was used to measure the circumferences. Results: There was a strong correlation between muscle mass and the forearm circumference and forearm and hand circumferences divided by body weight. The influence of primary prevention in the area of domestic violence

This diploma thesis focuses on the problems of primary prevention in the domestic violence area. Concretely is the author focusing on the influence of the primary school prevention in the domestic violence area on creating of presumptions for school age children emotional stability construction. In theoretical part author specifies the term "domestic violence", deals with theory of violent behavior inception and tries to point out the negative effects of violent behavior on the single family member. In the next chapters is author focusing on children as forgotten victims of the domestic violence and survey zones of exposure in the children's development, witch is acutely hit by this problems. The role of the school on the framework of primary prevention in the domestic violence area and problems of domestic violence concerning cross-sectional themes is last chapter content. Empiric part of thesis is formed by quantitative investigation, which was realized within questionnaires. Author tries to find out, whether the children's participation on the school preventive programs has the effect on the emotional stability creating. Film inspiration for children:searching without a camera

Majority of school kids (teenagers) usually own a smartphone nowadays. Creating a short video (mostly somehow related to his/her personality or the environment, community he/she lives in)and sharing it on the internet is a very common activity among those teens and it takes up a lot of their time. They love to share all kinds of stuff, they enjoy watching it, they feel the need to contribute to the social media, simply because that's what is "in" these days. They do it in almost every possible minute, it takes up a lot of their free time and slowly but surely they have been filling up their minds with tons of images and pictures of other people.

Drafting a methodology plan for training springboard diving of school children

As the theme of my bachelor thesis I chose a draft of the methodical plan of diving for school children with respect to primary school children. The theoretical part defines the term "diving" as a sports discipline with an accent to all-round physical development. I focused to the individual age period in various parts of the training technology in diving. The thesis describes the activity of diving group, shows the sports training in general level and also in leisure perspective. The focus of the work is to propose the creation of a methodical plan and the training objectives. Training goals are achieved by defined jumps. All above mentioned areas are partitioned into several sections. In practical terms, this thesis is applicable for coaches of primary school children which are starting with the diving.

Health promotion policy of school-age children in the area of nutrition and physical activities

This thesis deals with the health promotion policy of school-age children in the area of nutrition and physical activities, and identifies the most serious problems related to this field of health policy. It also focuses on the main problems associated with the lifestyle of school-age children in the Czech Republic. Proper eating habits and good relationship to physical activities are formed from an early age, so it is necessary in the terms of health promotion to focus mainly on children and their education to a healthy lifestyle. This creates possibilities to achieve an overall improvement in the health status of population. To fulfill the goals of this thesis, secondary data from documents that are related to the observed problem were used together with primary data from qualitative research, which was conducted by expert interviews. School-age children in the Czech Republic do not comply with the dietary guidelines or recommendations for physical activity proccesed by WHO. A related problem is obesity, which is caused by these factors. Health promotion policy responds to these problems by projects and health promotion programmes. Elementary school children at risk of social exclusion and a plan to help them

The objective of this thesis is to address issues of elementary school children who are at risk of social exclusion. At the same time it focuses on different means of searching methods as well as the ways of the individual help. The main themes are generally defined in this paper. The concept of the risk of a social exclusion is newly described for this target group together with other social, mental and pedagogical consequences. The practical part analyzes the selection of methods and describes the ways to search for the endangered children. Essentially, I have developed the case studies with an individual approach to help particular children. In conclusion, the thesis identifies the necessity of social aid in the Czech education system and the factual obstacles.
