Lonský, Ondřej ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Baláš, Jiří (referee)
Title: Relative Age Effect in Czech Sport Climbing Objective: The aim of this thesis is to investigate the manifestation of the Relative Age Effect in selected talented youth and the adult national team of sport climbing in the Czech Republic. Methods: The study analyzes the statistical significance of the expected and actual distribution of birth months in the sample studied. The research sample includes 173 subjects who have been selected for Youth Sports Centers, Elite Sports Centers for Youth, or National Sports Centers for Youth and the national sport climbing team. The chi-squared test, in the form of a goodness-of-fit test, is used to assess the manifestation of the Relative Age Effect. Results: In the overall sample studied (173 subjects), no statistically significant difference was found in the frequency of births between the first and second halves of the year. The Relative Age Effect was not demonstrated in men, while in women, a statistically significant difference was found, with a higher number of births in the first half of the year. This indicates the presence of RAE in women in Czech sport climbing. Further results relate to specific groups within the sample, such as members of youth sports centers and national teams. Conclusion: The manifestation of the Relative Age Effect was...

Baumová, Nikola ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Soukupová, Vendula (referee)
Title: The effect of the menstrual cycle on performance in sports Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the menstrual cycle on performance in sport using the results obtained from previous studies dealing with the effect of the menstrual cycle on performance in sport. Methods: This thesis was carried out as a systematic review. Sources of information were scientific articles and studies from the PubMed, Scopus, EBSCOhost and EBSCOhost databases and literature related to the influence of the menstrual cycle on sports performance. Results: A total of 45 studies were selected for this study (9 cross-sectional, 33 cohort and 3 intervention studies). A total of 3086 probands (2364 from cross-sectional, 644 from cohort and 78 from intervention studies) aged 18 to 35 years were included. Conclusion: In most cases, no effect of MC on sports performance was found. If any effect was observed, the worst phase of MC for performance appeared to be the mid-luteal phase, while the best was the follicular phase. Basic Fitness and motor development of the Czech Athletics Federation Sport Centers Members
Kůta, Radim ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
In our work we analyzed the performance of the members 14-15 years old of the sport centres (SpS) 2014 . We compared the members of SpS with school population from the study of Pávek (1977). The basic motoric tests were 50 m run, standing long jump, the medicine ball throw 2kg and the 12 minute run. The memberes of SpS 2014 were significantly better than school population from the study of Pávek (1977). We compared the meberes of SpS with the athletes of ČSTV (1982). The athletes of ČSTV (1982) were significantly better than the meberes of SpS 2014 in motoric tests: standing long jump and 12 minute run. Furthermore, we found that general physical performance of sprinters specifically reflected in their athletic performance. General physical performance of the members of the athletic sports centers
Kůta, Radim ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Krátký, Petr (referee)
In our bachelor thesis we compared the performance of the members of the sport centres (SpS). We compared specialist sprinters with other members of SpS and with the school population from the study Zapletalová (2011). We found that the level of general physical performance of 14 and 15-year-old sprinters is significantly better than that of the school population. The differences between the members of the SpS were not as large as in the case of the school population. We also compared the performance in the motoric test of a 12 minute run of Spanish specialists sprinters and the sprinters of SpS. The sprinters of SpS were worse in this case. Furthermore, we found that general physical performance of sprinters specifically reflected in their athletic performance.
