Optimized design of reinforcement of concrete cross section
Hudyma, Nazar ; Laníková, Ivana (referee) ; Štěpánek, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the optimization of design variables of reinforced concrete cross-section, especially its reinforcement. To solve this problem, it was first necessary to elaborate a search section that discusses various methods and approaches for solving the problem. The research part also includes processing and evaluation of tasks solved by other authors in available literature. For the optimization task, in the following parts both the general formulation and the detailed formulation of the partial parts of the concrete reinforcement structure optimization process are processed. As an example of optimization, a simple beam is chosen, which is subjected to bending moment and normal force one load case, where the example will be divided according to the formulation of both the function and the vector of unknown parameters (variables) defining the exact shape and properties of the reinforced concrete section. The examples will then be tested with regard to the speed of convergence and the degree of deviation between the best solutions found for each optimization algorithm used. At the end there will be a comparison and evaluation of the solution of the given task, as well as a summary of the whole bachelor thesis with reference to another possible direction in the optimization problems focused on reinforced concrete structures. In the appendices there will be a solution of selected examples.

Prototype Verification of Modification of Evolutionary Algorithm
Švestka, Marek ; Rajnoha, Martin (referee) ; Šeda, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is about evolutionary algorithms with a concrete solution for an Aircraft Landing Problem. The goal is to create a genetic algorithm for this task resolution, apply selected modifications and compare all outputs. The program runs with different selection methods which are further reviewed. Input data are taken from Operations research library for this task. The outcome of this thesis gives a closer look to evolutionary programming and it’s problem resolution.
A design of a portion of a prototype of a new attendance system
Florians, Patrik ; Lipták, Ľuboš (referee) ; Neuwirth, Bernard (advisor)
Topic of this thesis discusses a proposed implementation of a part of a newly developed attendance system’s prototype for a company Global IT Center s.r.o. Theoretical section of the thesis includes various methods based on which an analysis of a current state and a proposal of a solution, which are located in later sections of this document have been formulated. An attendance system typically consists of multiple key components, however this thesis’ content includes only an analysis and a proposed implementation of a software part of the system – an attendance application. An analysis of a current state part includes a detailed analysis of a solution currently implemented in the company. The last part of this thesis – proposed solution includes a description of proposed implementation, which was implemented and tested using multiple technologically diverse environments.
Algorithm for Realistic Vascular Circulation of Synthetic Retina
Dvořák, Martin ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Semerád, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to improve an existing tool for creating synthetic retina of the eye. The improvement of an existing software is carried out by changing the algorithm for creation vascular bed. The problem was solved by designing an algorithm which is based on real behavior  of vascular system in the retina of the eye. Real pictures were statistically recorded. Mathematical programs created aproximation curves of the blood vessels. Directions of the blood vessels, locations of branching and a number of branching of blood vessels were observed. A model for generation of synthetic pictures was designed based on discovered information and probability of branching. The main results are synthetic retinas which contain patterns of behavior of a real retina of the eye. These pictures have similar number of blood vessels, aiming towards the same location and branching in the same points as real pictures.
Algorithms for forward and backward planning
Sluka, Filip ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
The thesis deals with production planning. It contains theoretical description of methods used for production planning and optimizing. Thesis describes bottleneck problems in production. It offers overview of ways to identify and analyze bottleneck influence to manufacturing process efficiency. Thesis proposes ways to eliminate bottlenecks using various algorithm types. It applies theoretical knowledges from optimization and graph theory to program creation that is focused on order delay and readjustment time minimizing. The program implements genetic algorithm.
Programming tools for development of algorithms and programs at elementary school
Dümont, Jan ; Novák, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vaňková, Petra (referee)
This thesis monitors the past and current status of the educational area of algorithms and computer programming in elementary school, on the basis of research carried out at the Department of Information Technology and Technical Education of the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. It provides an overview of the different teaching methods and programs that contribute to the development of the skills of pupils, due to their age and skills achieved in this area. In the theoretical part of the thesis are explained the basic concepts of the topic of algorithms and programming, which follows the practical part with the use of these procedures in the ICT lessons and in other school subjects.
