Comparison of access to geography education at Waldorf primary school and standard Czech primary school

The bachelor's thesis deals with a comparative approach to the education of geography at the classical elementary school and at the Waldorf elementary school. The theoretical part explains the educational system in the Czech Republic and presents the characteristics of traditional and alternative pedagogy. Then a type of alternative pedagogy is introduced, namely Waldorf education. At the end of this part, the subject of geography is introduced. The practical part compares the approach to the education of geography at two selected schools and seeks differences and similarities in many aspects, mainly through the method of observation and interview.
Application of health education in Waldorf pedagogy

The aim of this work is: to find what ways do they apply health education to a Waldorf-type kindergarten. The method of moderated semi-structured interview was used to determine the methods of application and the degree of their involvement in teaching in kindergartens with Waldorf pedagogy. The results of the findings cannot be generalized, they are subjectively focused (tied to) to two kindergartens with Waldorf pedagogy. The findings were fulfilled as expected, the rate of application was on a daily frequency, but the methods of application can be improved in many places. Especially in one of the kindergartens, healthy nutrition and the involvement of targeted exercise for development, can be improved. The work finds a new opportunity to participate in primary prevention in kindergartens.
Speech-Language Pathology prevention at waldorf preschool

The thesis aims to demonstrate that alternative preschools provide high-quality speech-language pathology prevention. The paper focuses on the system of speech-language pathology prevention at Waldorf preschool and the description of the most common activities and methods supporting speech development. Another aim is to discover whether the speech development activities at Waldorf preschool correspond with the Framework Education Programme for Preschool Education, and how they differ from such activities at classic preschool. The theoretical section defines the main terminology connected with speech-language pathology prevention, the Framework Education Programme, and activities recommended for positive speech development. Moreover, it describes the principles, contents, aims, and methods of Waldorf pedagogy. The research focuses on the system of speech-language pathology at Waldorf preschool. For collecting the data, qualitative research questions are used, i.e. interviews with Waldorf teachers. Furthermore, observations at both Waldorf and classic preschools were conducted. The results show that the standards of speech-language pathology prevention at Waldorf preschool are high, and a variety of activities for speech development, included in the Framework Education Programme, are performed. The main difference between Waldorf and classic preschool speech-language pathology prevention is in the form and frequency of such activities.
Default methods for drawing forms in Waldorf pedagogy

The bachelor thesis deals with Waldorf pedagogy and its specific subject of forms drawing. The aim of this work is firstly to gain theoretical knowledge and, secondly, their application to the pedagogy of leisure time, then to proces selected methods into metodological handouts for leisure activities focused on artistic activity. In the theoretical part, the author works with professional literature. The first chapter presents Waldorf pedagogy regarding its goals and principles for the physical, spiritual and mental development. It raises from developmental stages of the child in the second seven years according to Rudolf Steiner, founder of Waldorf education. It also describes leisure time activities and education associated to this pedagogy. It characterizes a specific subject of eurythmy, which is part of the subject of drawing forms. The last part is devoted to drawing forms. The theoretical part also contains a reactions of Waldorf pedagogy. The practical part raises from the theoretical knowledge. The structure of the educational proces is guided by methodological sheets. In methodical sheets, the author uses a drawn form, drawing with crayons and wax blocks, modeling. The first part of the implementation of the didactic project took place in the "Svobodná Primary School" in Písek with the fourth grade pupils. The second part was applied in the activities of the hobby group in DDM Strakonice. The practical part includes evaluation and selfreflection. At the end of the work, the author summarizes personal experiences with Waldorf pedagogy. She acknowledges the use of the alternative educational principle with regard to the broadening of the pedagogue's point of view and the actual practice itself. However, she draws attention to the need for sufficient experience gained at the Waldorf seminars and a deeper personal insight into the issue.
Comparison of education at Waldorf primary school and standard Czech primary school

The work is focusing on education at regular grammar school and Waldorf primary school. The introduction explains the basic concepts such as pedagogy, education, upbringing etc. The thesis is discussing subsequently about the most important differences among standard and Waldorf primary school. There are presented all Waldorf schools in the Czech Republic in the next chapter. The practical part was created by watching selected subjects at Waldorf and Standard primary school.
Development of Key Competencies in Teaching of Natural Science in the Primary School Stage in the Waldorf School System

This thesis deals with the development of key competencies in teaching of Natural Science in the primary school stage in the system of Waldorf School. The theoretical part of the thesis expounds on the issues of the transformation of education as well as the characteristics of teaching in the system of Waldorf School. Some terms, such as - key competencies, the transformation of education, alternative trends in education, Waldorf pedagogy and its role in transforming education - are explained there. The research part of the thesis presents an action research, which is focused on the development of the key competencies in the epoch of Natural Science in the third grade of Waldorf School. One of the epochs was described by observation. The results of observations were compared by means of additional questionnaires, which were filled out by teachers. The development of the key competencies in the given epoch was described by the analysis of research. The results of the research confirmed that the educational strategy for the development of the key competencies in Waldorf School was at a very good level. The aim of diploma thesis Teachers personality in the 21st century is to point out the importance of the human spiritual dimension, as well as the importance of personality development of every teacher. The thesis is trying to disclose which of the challenges are teachers facing nowadays and how the students and pupils themselves are affected by their lecturers. The paper describes the transformation of the teacher's role in present-day society. Two different approaches in teachers training are presented and compared - classical higher education and Waldorf education. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the definition of the personality concept regarding a psychological point of view, as well as the definition of teacher education paradigm transformation relating to key competences and professional teachers standards. How to keep and develop the children's inner motivation at the beginning of the school attendance

This thesis focuses on keeping and developing the inner motivation for learning in the first class of the primary waldorf school, where the author works as a class teacher. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the characterization of the term inner motivation, its sorts and describes which methods are helping to its keeping. Further there is a description of specific ways of teaching at waldorf school. For the practical part of the thesis author of this dissertation uses method action teacher's research. She observes four selected pupils from her class. During one school year she determines the most suitable strategies of teaching lessons so the inner motivation for learning is supported. Results of research confirm when pupils are motivated, they are active and they cooperate more.
Teaching german language through drama at the waldorf school

This diploma thesis is devoted to the application of drama in German language teaching at Waldorf school. The content itself provides a theoretical insight into the basic concepts and principles of drama education and foreign language teaching at primary school. For the sake of clarity and understanding, these basic levels related to the subject are more elaborated in the introductory chapters. The theoretical part also includes chapters related to Waldorf pedagogy and its basic principles. In the practical part, one of the main objectives was to verify whether methods of dramatic education in German language teaching could support the pupil's ability to express themselves, with an emphasis on the verbal component. The work also includes description and reflection of three lessons, the aim of which was to find out whether the selected methods of drama in foreign language teaching have an impact on pupils' ability to communicate effectively and on the overall outcome of the learning process. At the end of the thesis are described findings, which confirm the benefits of including elements of drama education in foreign language teaching, and also where their influence manifested most.
