Application of Mathematical and Statistical Methods in Company Management

This thesis discusses the analysis of logistics costs for a company operating a network of vending machines and the subsequent minimization of the established costs by changing the locations and number of supply depots. A function reflecting the dependence of transport, warehousing, and inventory holding costs on the number and locations of depots is derived. The coefficients of this objective function are identified based on data provided by the analyzed company. Optimization of the locations and number of supply depots is performed using the Nelder and Mead iterative algorithm in combination with agglomerative clustering. The proposed approach to optimizing the logistics network is described from a mathematical-statistical and implementation perspective. Special attention is paid to finding optimal routes between supply depots and vending machines using geographic software, which also allows for measuring the route length and the time required to cover the obtained distance. The thesis then presents six proposals for reorganizing the logistics network, reflecting the optimal distribution of supply depots at their different numbers. Various shapes of the inventory holding costs are also considered, and their impact on the optimal number and locations of supply depots is discussed.

Design of a system for borrowing of electronic devices

The aim of this thesis is to design and create a system that issues test equipment from the warehouse according to user requirements. It also provides a functionality for returning equipment to the warehouse and transferring the equipment between users. The system also allows you to view the device database, where you can find out the current availability and history of individual devices. It is controlled by a mobile application that each user has installed on their mobile phone. The necessary data is stored in a database that is developed using the Firebase platform. It provides easy data management. The work also includes a detailed analysis of the assignment, a theoretical description of existing dispensing equipment, a description of the software tools used and an evaluation of the system's functionality.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the construction of vending machine for energy bars. Vending machine can sell two types of bars. It is constructed according to the client requirements. It is assumed that construction of vending machine will make the sell more effective. Thesis contains the description of main parts of vending machines, and also variants of design solutions and the final construction itself. The conclusion includes construction, technological, and economical review.

The use of vending machines, snack bars and food stores near school by primary school pupils

The objective of this bachelor thesis was to examine the using of the shopping possibilities in the school and in the neighbourhood, the conditions which influence the using and the pupils' shopping preferences. According to the acquired data some possibilities of the intervention are formulated, which can be used to positively influence the pupils' attitude towards the nutrition. The author concerns herself with the dietary habits of children and wants to discover possibilities to influence it. The theoretical part of the thesis contains nutrition recommendations for the school age children and describes the psychological specifics of this age. It also provides the information about international attempts to influence the lifestyle of the young generation and particular realization in the Czech Republic and other countries. There is written also about recommendation by World Health Organization and the thesis informs about supportive projects in the Czech Republic and also about the attempts to control the products provided in schools. Last but not least there is the information about obesity - prevalence, causes, consequences and prevention, and also about mental anorexia as the illness typical for the adolescence. Marketing Activities Support of Innovation

The diploma thesis titled "Marketing Support for introducing Innovations to the market" was intended to process recommendations for marketing support for introducing innovations to the market for the selected business. The main sub-goal of the work was to determine the prognosis of the future development of innovation - a specially developed vending machine for the preparation of nutritional supplements, including the right choice of types, brands, flavors and prices of individual nutritional supplements. The goal of the work was fulfilled. The evaluation of the results and the subsequent recommendations were based on the results of the questionnaire survey and the results of market testing.
