Analysis of composite sandwich panel under conditions simulating placement on a rocket carrier
Král, Martin ; Horníková, Jana (referee) ; Majer, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with composite sandwich panels, which are currently used as supporting structures for satellites. This type of panel contains an aluminum honeycomb core and two thin laminate coatings, reinforced with carbon fibers. Laminate sandwich panel coatings offer an alternative to conventional aluminum coatings, which is advantageous mainly due to the reduction of weight and increase of the flexural stiffness of the panels. The work is a parametric study of mechanical properties for several variants of the coating of sandwich panels. These are laminate coatings, differing in the orientation of the fibers in the individual layers, as well as an aluminum alloy coating. The study is divided into two parts. The first part examines the deformation-stress response of a sandwich panel, which is simply supported at the edges and loaded with pressure. The response calculation is performed using FEM and verified by the method of sum of an infinite series. The second part investigates the deformation-stress response of the joint, (node) of two sandwich panels, which is loaded by random vibrations, aimed at simulating the mechanical environment of the rocket carrier during the takeoff of the launch vehicle. The response is calculated using FEM and verified by an experiment on a vibrating stool for a selected variant of the laminate coating of sandwich panels. The results of the work can be used for the design of baffle of the X-ray imaging device (SXI), which is part of the equipment of the space satellite of the SMILE project.

Around road, there are parking areas for visitors and employees, as well as parking areas for serviced vehicles and vehicles intended for sale. The building is divided into several functional units, especially the sale of new cars, with administrative, sale of spare parts with a handy warehouse and authorized service, with facilities for employees and a spare parts warehouse. These units are reflected in structure, consisting of three blocks, different in height, adapted to the requirements for traffic height. In the first, one-floor block, there is a car shop, in the middle, two-floor block, storage and sale of spare parts on the ground floor, the administrative on the second floor. In the third block is the service. The parts are interconnected and thus form one continuous object. From an architectural point of view, the building is based on the surrounding industrial buildings and is flattened with a titanium-zinc overhanging perforated shell. The sun exposure of the building is ensured by curtain walls on the sides of the building, on the second floor by windows. Furthermore, the building is illuminated by skylights. In the interior of the sales and administrative part, there is a dominant steel console staircase, connecting these two units. The building is designed to the principles of barrier-free use.

Administration Building
Frieda, Jan ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor)
This thesis aims to design a bearing composite steel structure for five-storey administration building with ground plan dimensions 35,00 x 50,00 m. Designed building has L-shaped plan, flat roof and attic all the way around. The largest part of the plan area occupies office zone with dimensions of 48,60 x 18,90 m. Contiguous zone communication and sanitation has dimensions of 13,50 x 15,90 m. Floor height is designed 3,60 m, the total height of the building is 18,70 m. Composite steel floor structure consists of transverse primary beams and hinge-connected secondary beams. Integrated formwork (trapezoidal sheet) has ribs oriented perpendicular to the secondary beams. Coupling is bidirectional. Construction will be done in two variants. Variant No.1 assumes primary and secondary beams (at the columns) hinge-connected with columns. In variant No.2 will be frame connection between primary beams and columns and together they will create 2D transverse frames with hinge-connected secondary beams. The supporting structure of the roof is designed similarly to ceiling, but reinforced concrete slab will be replaced with bracing in the roof plane and self-bearing rib sandwich panels. Vertical sheathing of the building provide sandwich panels and strip windows. The type of steel is S355. The building is designed for the site Hradec Králové. Standards and documents used in design of the bearing structure are included in the list of sources. The result of this work is a static analysis with an assessment of all elements of the selected (best) variant of the structure, drawing documentation and technical report.
