Enterprise Information System in Cloud Computing Era

The thesis deals with the latest trend in providing ICT service -- Cloud Computing -- and its possible application in enterprise information systems generally. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate market readiness for Cloud Computing services in order to find out to which extent it is possible to cover enterprise information system, or rather its software applications, on strategic and tactical management levels using the above-mentioned services. To achieve the aim, it is necessary to determine both the Cloud Computing services market and the enterprise information system sphere and then to decide whether Cloud Computing services are able to cover the basic needs of enterprise information systems. The evaluation of the market readiness will be executed in accordance with both the specially created methodology and the defined requirements. Thus the present market readiness rating will be possible to determine. The thesis should show to which extent it is possible to apply Cloud Computing model to the enterprise information systems issue. It will also be possible to find out the factors which support this application the most and, on the other hand, which factors limit this application the most. The thesis will also show which fields are advanced enough, which services we can consider and what we can expect of these services.

Market analysis of the CRM systems

The first goal of this paper is to expound the term CRM (Customer Relationship Management.) This thesis explains different views on this shortcut, which is usually confused with the term CRM system. We should understand the idea of customer relationship management as an enterprise-wide strategy approaching the customer. To achieve this concept, we use a variety of CRM tools, such as CRM systems. The study also deals with a different architecture, functionality, and types of CRM systems. Information systems are constantly evolving, so the description of basic trends in this industry is also one of the goals of this paper. The main objective is to analyze the Czech market of CRM systems. There are a lot of different systems available on the market, so it's really difficult for the customer to have a good grasp about the market. The thesis contains a complete list of all available products. The market is divided into three parts, according to size of the company, where should the system be implemented. Based on the chosen criteria, three CRM systems are closely analyzed for each segment.

Possible applications of the personal module in enterprise information system

The goal of this thesis is to become familiar with the personal module within the framework of enterprise information system DIALOG 3000S and subsequent suggestion of measure and procedure when implementing its functions in operation. First of all, it concerns the functions linked with the organizational structure and professions within integrated. Theoretical part is focused on general introduction of enterprise processes widely, then the issues of personal information system are analyzed, especially its integration to the enterprise information system as a whole. The practical part features introduction of the company Romotop, ltd. and information system DIALOG 3000S, firstly its integrated personal module. Then the actual situation of the module is analyzed and thus the reflections which function should be putted in operation and the way of the procedure.

Decision Making Support Using Exact Software's Enterprise Information Systems

This diploma thesis deals with an information technology support of organization's decision making processes using Exact Software's enterprise information systems. The main goal of this paper is a demonstration of various Exact Software applications using real world examples from several Czech enterprises. Illustration of various benefits of integrated enterprise systems architecture is another goal of this paper. Possible benefits gained during the process of implementation of Exact Software's applications and necessary requirements that have to be fulfilled create the last goal. Risks and issues that can be encountered during the implementation process are mentioned along with benefits. To achieve these goals this diploma paper contains a lot of practical illustrations supplemented by theoretic explanation. Paper includes four parts. First part is an introduction into decision making processes in enterprises and provides a general overview of Exact Software's enterprise information systems portfolio. Another area covered by the first part is an overview of possible benefits of these systems in according to the level of organization management. Second part is dedicated to Exact Synergy Enterprise. At the beginning of this part there are outlined procedures, benefits and assumptions necessary for successful system implementation. The following text in part two contains many real world examples from the decision making point of view. Third part covers Business Intelligence application Exact Business Analytics from the standpoint of implementation guidelines, prerequisites and benefits. Subsequent subchapters contain practical examples of usage of this system. The last part is comprised from two case studies of Exact Software's systems implementation -- first one is a financial counseling company, second one is a company from the IS/ICT area. The paper as a whole represents unique material for companies that are looking for solutions on their decision making and analytical procedures problems. On the basis of this paper the reader can create an overview of current capabilities of enterprise information systems. A vast majority of presented solutions are system independent i.e. the usage of systems from Exact Software is only exemplary. Case studies of complex enterprise IS architectures in real world enterprises represents another great contribution to this diploma paper.

Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat nákupní logistiku a systém zpracování objednávek nákupu ve výrobním podniku. V textu jsou rozebrány různé metody nákupu, které podnik uplatňuje při pořizování vstupů pro výrobu. Jsou zkoumány možnosti aplikace moderních logistických technologií založených na plynulém materiálovém toku. Pozornost je zaměřena na úlohu podnikového informačního systému v procesu nakupování. V textu jsou rozebrány jednotlivé kroky procesu nakupování. Podrobně se text zabývá zpracováním objednávek nákupu v podnikovém informačním systému.

Communication channels, the part of the system base of gastronomic companies

Goal of this document is to compile the basic theory of communication processes (exchange of information) of the company from the specific branch of the market. Make an analysis of these processes in real companies in order to make more suitable theory for evaluation characteristics of communication and vicariously informatics in the branch. Within the analysis, next goal is to point out the possibilities of information and communication technology support for the processes and find out the way how to implement them into company workflow. The problem analyzed in this document is, how to practise internal and external exchange of information to reach the planned business goal in branch effectively. This document describes the situation in gastronomy. System basics of the companies from this branch depend very much on the communication. Quality of information exchange including the level of informatics support affects their status on the market, which is equal to the fruitfulness.

Analysis of impact of new software distribution models on company IS/ICT management

Diplomová práce se zabývá modelem distribuce aplikační funkcionality formou služeb (SaaS ? Software as a Service), transformací trhu s IT dle tohoto modelu a dopadem těchto změn do sféry řízení podnikové informatiky. Cílem práce je co nejlépe anticipovat dopad transformace IT průmyslu právě do oblasti služeb a na základě výsledků této prognózy odvodit nejvýznamnější změny, kterými projde jak samotná podniková informatika, tak způsob jejího řízení. Popis transformace IT průmyslu je možný na základě identifikace nejzávažnějších současných problémů tohoto průmyslu a popisu těch současných trendů, které k této transformaci směřují. Změny podnikové informatiky a jejího řízení jsou popisovány na základě vývoje od doby vzniku moderních podnikových informačních systémů (tj. počátek 90. let 20. století), s tím, že je kladen důraz na ty nejzávažnější problémy integrace IT do struktury podniku a nejvýznamnější metody, které se na řešení těchto problémů uplatňovaly či uplatňují. Velký důraz je v práci kladen na korporátní důsledky těchto změn, takže každý významný diskutovaný aspekt je zkoumán mimo jiné z pohledu jeho vstřebávání trhem či samotnou organizací, a to především z hlediska porovnávání nákladů a přínosů. Přínos práce spočívá především v analýze dopadů změn trhu s IT na subjekty na trhu působící, tedy jak na nabízející tak na poptávající. Z hlediska strany nabídky jde především o sekce věnující se vzájemným vztahům mezi poskytovateli aplikačních služeb (sdružování do tzv. SaaS platforem) a také nástupu celého modelu (viz např. tabulka 4.2 na str. 41). Z hlediska poptávajících na IT trhu, tedy z hlediska řízení podnikové informatiky, je přidaná hodnota práce především v těch částech, které se věnují možnému navázání SaaS aplikací na model řízení IT služeb, a dále např. integraci SaaS aplikací z hlediska uživatele (část 6.4.6). První tři kapitoly práce se zabývají úvodem do celého konceptu poskytování aplikační funkcionality formou služeb, současnému IT průmyslu a jeho problémům a také pravděpodobnému vývoji celého tohoto nového segmentu. Další kapitoly obsahují nejprve charakteristiku současného řízení podnikové informatiky a také aplikaci výše zjištěných poznatků o SaaS modelu na podnikovou informatiku. Poslední kapitola je orientována praktičtěji a obsahuje zjednodušený popis metody definice IT služeb v podniku a tvorby katalogu služeb.

Maintaining data quality in corporate information system

Hlavním cílem této práce je představit na základě teoretických poznatků a vlastních znalostí problematiku zajišťování kvality dat v podnikových informačních systémech, neboť kvalita dat se vzhledem k jejich rostoucímu objemu stává stále více aktuální. Práce nejprve podává teoretický pohled na podniková data, na chyby v nich vznikající a poté zkoumá důsledky jejich nedostatečné kvality. Ve druhém oddíle popisuje způsoby uchování dat, které v dnešní době kvalitě dat napomáhají. Třetí oddíl je věnován problematice uživatelských rozhraní a je jím dotvořen teoretický základ po oddíl čtvrtý, který přináší vlastní pohled na stav této problematiky a vyvozuje na jeho základě některá opatření, která by mohla zlepšení kvality dat v podnikových informačních systémech značně napomoci.

Implementace účetního software BYZNYS Win?

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na podnikové informační systémy. První část obsahuje teoretické vymezení ERP systémů a jejich historický vývoj. Následuje představení ERP BYZNYS Win? a jednotlivých modulů systému a jejich analýza. Druhá část práce je zaměřena na implementaci ERP systémů. Popisuje základní kroky implementace, upozorňuje na problémové oblasti a nabízí jejich řešení. V poslední části je popsána případová studie implementace systému BYZNYS Win? ve společnosti RAVAK a.s. a spuštění internetového obchodu www.CafeLosAndes.cz v iBYZNYS.
