Paulo Coelho and his Selected Works as an Inspiration in Leisure Education of Youths

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to introduce the writer Paulo Coelho and use his selected works as an inspiration in leisure education of youths. The thesis is divided into two sections. The theoretical section introduces the author's biography, received literature awards, author's selected works, specifics of youths and selected methods chosen for working with the text. The practical section deals with the creation and realization of the project "The Alchemist - The Journey to the Treasure", which aims to develop self-knowledge and the ability of self-reflection in youths. The programme uses extracts of Paulo Coelho's work as an inspiration.

Resolving conflicts among students in a primary school classroom

The topic of the diploma thesis is the solution of problems / conflicts between pupils in the 5th year of primary school. It deals with the causes of conflict situations in the classroom, conflict resolution strategies and the possibilities of their prevention. In the theoretical part, I focus mainly on the characteristics of the quality classroom climate and the specifics of pupils at a younger school age. I will summarize the types and causes of conflicts between students and the possibilities of how to prevent them, especially through the targeted development of their social skills. In the empirical part, in the form of action teacher research, I will try to reduce the frequency of conflicts and increase their ability to manage them in the 5th grade classroom, where I work as a class teacher. I will use the questionnaire "Our class", recording and analysis of specific situations, interview with students and analysis of my own reflective diary. To improve the social skills of students, I will use methods and techniques, especially personal and social education, which I will regularly include in the teaching of students.
Leader In Me, the educational program at a primary school

This thesis examines the educational program "The leader in me" and its functioning within the first grades of elementary school. The thesis is divided into three chapters - theoretical, analytical and practical. The first theoretical part introduces the program and defines and explaines the term "habit". The outcomes of the first presented chapter focus on the interconnections between self-management and the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. The analytical part summarizes experiences and results gathered during researching the sample elementary school A.B. Combs and other schools that use the examined program in their classrooms. This has been achieved based on the analysis of Czech and foreign resources. The last practical part presents a qualitative survey, whose main objective was to reflect on teaching practices that have been based on methods of self- management and on knowledge gained in the theoretical part of this thesis.
Eligibility of primary school pupils to manage their time

The topic of this thesis is procrastination. Procrastination is "the illogical, but deliberate delaying of planned action, which is accompanied by a commitment to alternative activities." (Sliviaková 2010, p. 3). Occasional procrastination however mostly harmless is only a small step from procrastination chronic. Chronic procrastination already points at undesirable situation, the malfunction of a healthy lifestyle and self-control. That view is the starting point for the research work of the problem, which investigates the symptoms of procrastination among primary and secondary school pupils. Procrastination is usually being considered in relation to adults' behaviour. The question asked is whether it is relevant to consider procrastination also in relation to children at primary school. In the theoretical part, we therefore first gathered and compiled the available data about the topic from various Czech and foreign sources, mainly to define with necessary precision the object of the study (procrastination) and learned the wider context of the issue (time management, self- management). Diploma thesis named Skill of students primary school to set thein personal goals, maps and describes the components which affect child and how do they influence child's choice of his/hers personal goals. The specification of personal goals is one of the activities of cross- section subject personal and social education, which is set by educational program framework. Its scope requires to name particular activities and their praxis. The thesis id divided into theoretical and practical parts. Theoretical part covers elemental components for personal goals specification, which are divdided into internal and external. The thesis also describes the fundamental basics of personal and social education, its methods and forms. In the practical part there is a model lecture covering two lessons. The lecture is a form of action research, and every realization of the lecture is reflected in detail. The purpose of the lecture is to find out the major motives for personal goals specification and what forms of work to chose while facilitating the lecture. PSE as One of the Possibilities of Primary Prevention

This thesis is focused on the possibility of using Personal and Social Education in implementing effective primary prevention program in elementary schools. After the theoretical analysis of primary prevention and Personal and Social Education, the second part of the thesis presents and analyzes a proposed model of prolonged non-specific primary prevention, which is based mainly on the activities of school prevention methodologist. The methodologist is educated in social pedagogy and professionally trained in Personal and Social Education. The school prevention methodologist is employed full-time for this position, he does not teach any other subject but Personal and Social Education. In this part of the thesis there are discussed demands on school prevention methodologist activities and difficulties of presented primary prevention model. The last chapter presents supporting research that took place at four elementary schools in Prague. Observations of the teaching Personal and Social Education, conversations with its teacher and also an analysis of the Minimum Preventive Program of the school were made there.
Personal and social education in a constructivist-oriented teaching of mathematics at the 2nd level of primary school

This thesis addresses the use and inclusion of cross-cutting theme of personal and social education in the constructivist-oriented mathematics teaching. The thesis has two main objectives, to describe the scope for personal and social education in mathematics teaching and to suggest learning activities that show interlinking of these regions. The main section is being created by these activities. All have been tested in practice and subsequently evaluated.
Introduction of acting lessons to school education plan in a small school

My diploma thesis deals with the implementation of drama education as a separate subject in the school system after 1990 and characterizes the transformation of schools, the changes in teacher training after 1990 and describes alternative schools that are important for changing the way of teaching in the school system. I also deal with the curriculum of the framework educational program, the characteristics of the school educational plan, drama education and small schools. In the practical part I describe the conditions for the implementation of drama education in the school curriculum of a small school and three ways how to implement this subject. As part of my work, I created a survey of parents' opinions and an interview with the principal to find out what the awareness of drama education is and whether there is an interest in it. I present the research results in the appendices. At the end of the thesis I summarized my research at a small school and the implementation of drama education in the school curriculum, it also contains a list of what is needed for such implementation and what was the result of my efforts at Kindergarden and Elementary school in Suchodol.
