Employment of people with disabilities in the Liberec region

The thesis is focused on employment of persons with disabilities in the Liberec region. The current situation of the main issue is theoretically described in the introduction of the thesis. In this section the terms disability and a person with disability are defined. A section of the thesis is also focused on the job market and the position of persons with disabilities on the said market. The conclusion of the theoretical part of the thesis introduces supporting tools of integration of persons with disabilities to the job market and the present subjects. The practical part of the thesis includes results of a quantitative design research, which was realized through a questionnaire of persons with disabilities and of employers in the Liberec region. The main objective of the thesis is mapping of employment of persons with disabilities in the Liberec region. The results showed that employers consider the three most major factors affecting the employment of persons with disabilities in the open labor market to be low or almost no education of persons with disabilities (66 respondents - employers, i.e. 66 %), the lack of vacancies (77 employers, i.e. 77 %) and superstitions, myths and prejudices about persons with disabilities. This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of employment of people with disabilities in non-governmental non-profit organizations and its aim is to map (describe) this issue in the South Bohemian Region. The bachelor thesis defines the basic concept of disability, person with disabilities and its definition in Czech legislation. It discusses the legislative regulation of the employment of persons with disabilities, the obligations of employers, disincentive factors influencing the employment of the persons mentioned. It deals with the area of state employment policy with the introduction of active employment policy instruments, instruments of support for the employment of persons with disabilities and instruments of employer support in the employment of these persons. It is also dedicated to non-governmental non-profit organizations, their importance and contribution, division and characteristics of selected organizations according to the Civil Code. It describes the situation in the South Bohemian Region with regard to socio-demographic data, people with disabilities and the issue of unemployment. The method of data analysis and comparison processes and evaluates selected data concerning the employment of persons with disabilities, the issue of non-governmental non-profit organizations and their involvement in the employment of these persons within the South Bohemian Region.

The position of people with disabilities in social security Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the position of people with disabilities in social security. It provides insight into the historical context and brings the status of people with disabilities in society. The diploma thesis deals with the issue from the theoretical point of view when it analyses the development of legislation, from the practical point of view when it confronts the theory of legislation with the impacts on the practice of people with disabilities. The work is divided into four main chapters, which logically follow each other. The first chapter is devoted to the periodization of history, i.e., the historical context, passed legislation, and attitudes to people with disabilities. This chapter is essential for understanding contexts. The second chapter regulates concepts' coherence and defines basic concepts, such as - a person with a disability, social security or integration, inclusion, and barriers. The third chapter deals with comprehensive services and aids, emphasizes comprehensive rehabilitation, which according to the study of documents, is the basis for the inclusion of people with disabilities in social life, and defines compensatory and special aids, the essence of which compensates for self-sufficiency....
Needs of persons with disabilities and their close persons during hospitalisation

Experience of patients with disabilities and their close persons during hospitalisation demonstrates insufficient understanding to the needs of such people. This issue is also discussed in foreign literature, wherein the need to establish the position of a specialized worker who knows very well the conditions of the health care facility and the needs of people with disabilities is emphasized. The objective of this thesis is to point out the complex issue of the needs of people with learning disability and their close persons during hospitalisation. Hospitalisation itself is a difficult and demanding situation in any person's life. For persons with learning disability, this situation is even more serious. The thesis aims at describing the experience of persons with learning disability so that it may serve as the basis for improving their health care.
Employment of persons with a health handicap

The aim of this thesis is to describe the key issues of employment of persons with disabilities as they are one of the most endangered category of employees and their protection in the scope of the legal regulation. The thesis is systematically divided into five chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of the topic. Chapter one is introductory and defines basic terminology. This chapter is subdivided into three parts. Part one analyses the historical development of the approach of the majority society to the people with disabilities and focuses primarily on the medical and social model of disability. Part two deals with the definition of the persons with disabilities as defined in the international and European law. Part three further addresses the issue of this definition in Czech law. Chapter two provides an outline of relevant international sources as well as the sources of the European Union. The Informal Care for People with Disabilities in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with the system of the informal long-term care for people with disabilities in the Czech Republic. The first aim of the diploma thesis is to describe this non-conceptually solved issue and confirm the European prevalent tendencies to refamilization and deinstitutionalization in the Czech Republic. Author tries to identify the main problems within the system of informal long-term care through interviews conducted with informal carers and workers from selected social services. The diploma thesis emphasizes the target population of informal carers, who face many obstacles, whether it is the cooperation between the systems of formal and informal care, lack of finances, deterioration of quality of life or insufficient recognition of the status of informal carers from the society and the state. Informal carers are presented on the basis of theoretical perspectives as well as the results of conducted research as the invisible stakeholders of the Czech public policy.

Comparison of the social protection of persons with disabilities in the Czech Republic and in France This thesis deals with the social protection of the persons with disabilities in Czech and French legal order. The main aim of this thesis is to analyse both these systems and then propose certain changes which could enrich Czech legal order in this field. The thesis is devided into five chapters. The first chapter defines basic concepts - social protection and individual with health disabality. The second chapter concentrates on the historical development of the protection of disabled persons in international and European law and provides an overview of the most important international and European sources. In the third and fourth part, I describe in detail the Czech and French legislation. In both cases, at first I focused on the state institutions and the private subjects supporting disabled people. Furthermore, both chapters illustrate the protection of persons with disabilities in social security law and then position of disabled persons in the employment relationship, especially the acces to employment, the prohibition of their discrimination and the special rights and obligations of their employers. Social protection of persons with disabilities My thesis treats social protection of persons with disabilities. The purpose of the thesis is to analyse the Czech and French legislation in the field of social security of person with disabilities. The thesis is composed of four sections. The first section which is divided into two chapters is dedicated to generalities - the first chapter gives a theoretic definition of the handicap and persons with disabilities. The second chapter investigates the protection of person with disabilities from the point of view of the international law and European Union's law that represent the foundation of the Czech and French legal system. This work is devoted to problems of support systems of families with handicap children. The aim of this work is exploring the support systems of families with handicap children in the Czech Republic. (There is possibility to compare the region of Prague and Pardubice.) The theoretical part describes basic characterization of disability, it is intent on families who are take care of children with disability, it describes too social network and it also points out the common problems of the social care for individuals with handicap and possibilities of support goups. In order to achieve the aim of this work, it was necessary to obtain needful data. Therefore, a structured interview was used as one of the techniques of qualitative research. Among those who were interviewed were parents of handicap children. Because there are only twenty families in the research group of this diploma thesis it is not possible to generalize obtained information for all families with handicap children.
