Geopolitical orientation of Moldova - contexts of the cleavage line in Moldovan society
Janeček, Jakub ; Jelen, Libor (advisor) ; Volný, Vít (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the geopolitical orientation of Moldova. Its objective is to determine whether the country is more inclined towards cooperation with the European Union or Russia. Moldovan society has been polarised in this regard for a long time and recent events, particularly the war in Ukraine, have had a significant impact on its orientation. To achieve the aim of the study, content analysis was used, from which four main topics that divide Moldovan society in terms of the country's geopolitical orientation emerged: the integration of Moldova into the European Union, the war in Ukraine, the issues of identity, internal political division and energy policy. The findings of the subsequent analysis indicate that Moldova is shifting towards the European Union, especially in recent years. However, opinions on the orientation of the country are not unanimous in either the political or the social sphere, and it is in the country's best interest to maintain good relations with both sides. Keywords: Moldova, orientation, Russia, European Union, cleavages
Visual orientation of dragonflies - using polarized light
Kalavská, Tereza ; Černý, Martin (advisor) ; Kolář, Vojtěch (referee)
Polarized light is a physical phenomenon that is quite common in the nature. It has been known for a long time that some animals use such kind of light for various purposes in their lives. This group also includes dragonflies, which use horizontally polarized light to detect areas of water where mating and egg-laying takes place. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to summarize the current knowledge of the visual orientation of dragonflies in space using polarized light. In my thesis, I focus on habitat selection and in which spectrum range dragonflies can perceive polarized light. Furthermore, I focus on the area of perception of polarized light by dragonfly larvae in the aquatic environment, which has not been properly researched yet as there are very few studies. Key words: orientation, insects, dragonflies, visual, polarized light, habitat selection
Indoor Positioning Based on Inertial Measurement Unit
Coufal, Marek ; Vychodil, Josef (referee) ; Král, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with inertial navigation intended for indoor usage. The algorithm for processing accelerometer and gyro data is described along with their position in equations of motion. Various coordinate systems are defined for ease of manipulation of vector quantities, including conversions and rotations between frames. The thesis also addresses the design of the hardware for the inertial unit, including the minimum requirements for fast data recording. Some chapters are dedicated to the design of the printed circuit board and the implementation of the device, followed by the development of firmware and software for data logging and processing.
Selected Methods of Improvement for the Driver's Orientation on the Roads
Černoch, Adam ; Valentová, Veronika (referee) ; Frič, Jindřich (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to find suitable measures which will lead to the improvement of driver orientation in traffic spaceleading to lower the accident rate in the area. The theoretical part describes the traffic surveys that relate to the topic. Furthermore, the work mentioned detectors used for the implementation of automated traffic surveys. The theoretical part also describes methods that can be used to analyze the selected location and then design the ideal modification. At the end gives an overview of the various measures. In the practical part are different methodologies used for the analysis of selected intersections. Firstly, the analysis of observed conflict situations, including making conflicting diagram, under which was designed to measure. Then, the analysis of traffic accidents. Again, the result was a proposal for possible actions. The main objective was to compare and appreciation of both methodologies and proces design measures to improve driver orientation in the selected location.
Communication system for the blind - the mobile part
Dadák, Jiří ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Herman, Ivo (advisor)
Orientation in big administration buildings can be very difficult for visually impaired people. Although most of the buildings are equipped with elevators, the buttons of which are designated with Braille characters and acoustic signals, it might be very difficult for the visually impaired to actually find the particular office. Even if there were descriptions in Braille at each office door, it would prove very complicating for the visually impaired individual to localize the descriptions in the first place, especially in case of a large number of offices in the building. That may also concern other important places, such as toilets, inside a building. In this thesis, I am going to present a design proposal of a communication system which uses transceivers placed at significant points in a building and receivers placed at the end of the white cane for orientation inside a building.
Student Housing
Golík, Pavel ; Todorov, Petr (referee) ; Pelčák, Petr (advisor)
The architectural study built block the northern corner of town in close proximity to the center of Brno. The main thrust of the solution is particularly easy throughput area, pedestrian safety and ease of orientation in space. The architectural study of student housing is the first step change in the given locality by regulatory plan. The intention was to broken and fragmented forms of buildings to bring the urban elements, the wide streets, passages, squares and courtyards, which will evaluate and develop the character and vitality of the place. Architectural building block concept takes into account noise pollution site and responds to a bad indication, due to the north. New built-in design and layouts are designed so as to reduce the noise levels of interior space and create a resting zone in courtyard.
Emotional Cartography
Rygálová, Monika ; Pfeiffer, Jan (referee) ; Sterec, Pavel (advisor)
The work aims to artistically compile perception of maps as a fact, what let us think about The world - how we know it from the map. I work with data, which I gain by displaying technology – eye tracking, which helps me to record track of moving eyes during watching any kind of picture. The observations will be people from different places such a place of stay etc. Gained data I am going to use as a study, which I will componate to maps and different vizualizations of world, countries etc. "Where i have not ever been before, it does not exist" – is idea of percepting world, wich I also work with on that project. Study will contain all aspect of perceiving maps and systematicly shown world related to the person, his memories to that place, fyzical contact and his impact in his scale person versus a the world.
9DOF sensor for weapon orientation measurement
Růžička, Jiří ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
This thesis deals with multi-axis position sensors, their nature and individual parts and types of these sensors. It is outlined their historical origin and the most used modern types, such as micro-electro-mechanical sensors. Further, the properties of these sensors, error sources and their compensation are discussed. Output data formats are also discussed here, such as Euler angles, their calculation and applications. The selected sensor is implemented in the simulator electronics, and the graphical application demonstrates its functions.
To Dvur Kralove by train - Transfer Terminal in Dvur Kralove nad Labem
Vinklárková, Eliška ; Sedláček, Jan (referee) ; Foretník, Jan (advisor)
The main objective of the proposal was not to create a barrier for the inhabitants or tourists by integrating transport on this parcel, leaving it as far as possible to the pedestrians. Movement of pedestrians and vehicles should not cross. The new tracks are therefore moved to the existing siding. Bus traffic should take place at busy local roads. The terminal building is in the center of the plot and is a link between bus, train, car and pedestrians. Thanks to the selected transport solution, the parcel is free from the traffic barriers and there is a free pedestrian spread. At the same time, the transport solution does not allow the free passage of the population to the south. The location of the scatter surface naturally guides the visitor and the inhabitants of the city to their area of interest - a departure from the industrial part of the city.
Analysis of construction container with shift and orientation of semiproduct
Zapletal, Lukáš ; Blecha, Radim (referee) ; Synek, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deal with analysis and description possibilities solving of containers. First part treat of containers with shift and orientation workpiece their activities and possibilities of construction. In next part is specialized on possibilities of orientation semiproduct.
