The Posthumanist Object
Adámková, Štěpánka ; Alaverdyan, Argišt (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
In this bachelor’s thesis, its author will focus on corporeality and a connection of organic and synthetic. The author will examine how a synthetic material reacts with an organic body, will question possible ways to combine the dichotomy of synthetic and organic, and thus create their metamorphosis, their own worlds, an abstracted form of figuration. These topics will be expressed through wall objects; these objects are based on admiration of the human body which is encased and surrounded by synthetic materials, and it expresses its dynamism, muscle movement, corporeality. The author perceives and understands this relationship and connection contemplatively and romanticizes it. The bachelor’s thesis will ask questions about the perception of one’s own corporeality, about existence and humanity in the era of synthetics, virtuality and derealization. With contemplating these questions, the author will try to create their own form of corporeality, which they depicts with their own visual nomenclature, their own forms of synthetic-organic life – humanity submits to the artificial world and, conversely, creates a new post-humanist body for which a new definition needs to be created. The goal of the work is a series of large-format wall objects. Wall objects will be made using spray and stencils. The aim of the author’s bachelor’s thesis is to, through these wall objects, visually represent their contemplative relationship to the connection of organic and synthetic, physical and artificial, static and moving.
Implementace biopotravin a lokálních potravin do společného stravování
MOUČKA, Petr
Various efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are increasingly being seen around the world. Agriculture and the food sector contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, and therefore it is necessary to introduce measures aimed at their mitigation. Organic food and short supply chains are associated with lower environmen-tal impacts, and school canteens offer great scope for mitigating climate change just by implementing these measures. An often-mentioned problem is the higher financial costs of buying organic or locally produced food. This work shows that, in the case of choosing the right ingredients and involving the right logistics, the fi-nancial costs for one portion do not have to exceed 1.5 % of the price increase. The work also shows that the implementation of organic food is not necessarily as key to mitigating climate change as the implementation of local food. To apply these results to other cases, research focused on specific canteens and their possibilities for the supply of local food is necessary.

The Free Time Centre of the Sports Activities Brno - Komárov
Mikulášek, Petr ; Pospíšil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
LEISURE CENTRE of SPORTS ACTIVITIES In Brno-Komárov Leisure Centre is located in the Center CITY DISTRICT Brno-Komárov, where their function is absolutely ideal. It is located on the continental divide the "old Komárov" (terrace houses) and the "new Komárov“ (Panel housing estates). Its location offers very easy, short and safe distance and therefore available to all. At the same time visually concluded was created by the Church. Giles, creating a small square in the Centre of the MUNICIPAL representative, which miss here. The idea of the concept is - response to longitudinal settlement in the form of high concrete blocks, in the form of organic in which, even for the eyes of the top balconies and Windows offers pleasant views of the elegant organic shapes inducing natural environment in "concrete town". - create an interesting space, that it is impossible to visually accommodate from a single location, but attracts the visitor to explore, where each movement open up new views and vistas - create a hidden but easily accessible location, offering a peaceful setting in the heart of busy urban traffic in particular. The complex is made up of a few nuggets of larger or smaller dimensions, which in itself always skrývájí a specific function. All are then linked by generous ground floor in which are located in areas of technical and sanitary facilities, and in a couple of rooms reserved for the management of the Centre. Due to their location in the middle of the Prism, are illuminated by a smaller Atrium. The Center is primarily focused on sports activities, which today enjoy great popularity at the same time, however, is relatively small. This is a climbing, which people desire for nature, and in opposition to parkour, which nurtures the spirit and body in an urban environment. On their own but also advocates of traditional sports. The Centre offers a large room for activities, of course, a calmer character as is sitting with his friends, playing board games, billiards, table football, or other activities, supported by a range of smaller snack on the bar. In addition, in the Centre of reserved space either to study creative formation, work on your computer in the form of smaller classrooms, but also larger Lecture Hall, which is available for the holding of cultural events or interesting lectures. Finally, there's a café serving small snack and space to relax with views of the local church with outdoor seating on the square, or views to the opposite side to sports activities. The ability to make parenting moments while waiting for the end of children's games. Organic architecture and contemporary residential living
Čábelková Nahorniaková, Marcela ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Budkeová, Branislava (referee) ; Glosová, Dagmar (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor)
Organic architecture is often used term especially in connection with the daring and experimental form. The exact definition or division is still missing. The founder of modern organic architecture is to be generally considered as Frank Loyd Wright. He was the man who created organic architecture and also made first definition in the early twentieth century, when formulating new architectural styles. Dissertation deals with insufficiently described problem of organic architecture. The main focus is on contemporary production of residential organic architecture in Central Europe. Especially on the particular realizations in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Austria, Germany and Poland. Beside detail description of European realizations, the dissertation deals also with foundations of organic architecture in U.S.A. and important realizations here. Modern organic architecture primarily originated in the United States of America. The work presents most important contemporary realizations and architects creating resident living organic architecture in other countries around the world in order to complete the overview. The objective of dissertation was describing newest trends in designing buildings for living. Find position of organic architecture and give reasons for it´s increasing popularity, spread and necessity for new development in architecture according to the new trends. Organic architecture is an alternative way of contemporary residential living. It´s popularity is growing in last years in response to the development of modern technologies and materials, the need to protect our natural resources and also to the increasing negatives of globalization and to denial of local traditions and regional specificities. Aspects of organic forms were divided into three main groups according to their main characteristics: form, harmony and sustainable development. Another objective was find location of contemporary organic residential architecture in Czech Republic and abroad. It is rather spread all over the world than concentrated on certain places. Therefore I selected countries that are richer than the others on the occurrence of organic buildings. The objective was also to address architects, specialists, public and especially university teachers of architecture and students themselves. Communication with them was mainly connected with grant project in 2010. The theme of grant project was contemporary organic architecture in residential living. There were lectures about contemporary organic architecture and exhibition on the theme: Contemporary living organic architecture. The publication of the catalog was published under the title: Contemporary organic houses - Europe. I had the opportunity to visit a number of organic family houses abroad. Specifically houses in Slovakia, Hungary and Germany. Results of survey, which was realized by questions to owners and authors of chosen buildings, are included in dissertation. The mail results of dissertation are - make a detail review of organic architecture in residential living - define trends in contemporary organic architecture and residential living - obtain and process answers from owners and authors of chosen buildings within survey - analysis of organic house ( houses) in city planning and landscape - publication of catalogue focused on organic contemporary European houses - article about contemporary organic architecture and residential living will be published in 2012 on archiweb page

Carboxymethyl Cellulose As The Binder For The Lithium-Sulfur Batteries
Jaššo, Kamil
Demand for the high energy density batteries significantly increased along with the rapid development of new power source depending technologies. While these technologies are rapidly evolving, the battery industry is lagging behind unable to meet the demand. As a prospective successor to the existing li-ion battery technology, can be the high-capacity lithium-sulfur battery system (Li-S). The most commonly used composition of the positive electrode material of Li-S batteries is a mixture of sulfur, carbon and PVDF1 binder mixed in NMP2 solvent, which is (according to the WHO3) slightly toxic. The article deals with a replacing PVDF with organic non-toxic water-soluble binder.
Correlation of abiotic proxies in Holocene lacustrine sediments of Peri-Atlantic Arctic
Roman, Matěj ; Nývlt, Daniel (advisor) ; Sedláček, Jan (referee)
The peri-Atlantic Arctic, one of the most sensitive components of the Earth climate system, experienced pronounced climatic fluctuations during the Holocene. Several external forcings were considered responsible for these variations, including decline of insolation on the Northern Hemisphere, changes in distribution of land ice mass, explosive volcanism, or changes in atmospheric and oceanic circulation. In order to explore the driving mechanisms of the peri-Atlantic Arctic environmental variability, three sites located in different parts of the region were selected for palaeoenvironmental reconstructions with focus on extracting the climatic information. With this intention, sedimentary cores from i) Lake Garmaksla, Central Svalbard, ii) Jarfjorden, northeastern Norway, and iii) Kobbefjord area, southwestern Greenland, were retrieved and subjected to multi-proxy investigation. The absolute chronostratigraphic framework was established by comprehensive radiocarbon (14 C) and short-lived radioisotopes (210 Pb, 137 Cs) dating. Further analyses include measurements of magnetic susceptibility, grain size distribution, element composition by means of X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and elements bound to organic matter, i.e. organic carbon, nitrogen, sulphur and biogenic silica. The relationships between the...
