OCR module for recognition of letters and numbers
Kapusta, Ján ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
This paper describes basic methods used for optical character recognition. It explains all procedures of recognition from adjustment of picture, processing, feature extracting to matching algorithms. It compares methods and algorithms for character recognition obtained graphically distorted or else modified image so-called „captcha“, used in present. Further it compares method based on invariant moments and neural network as final classifier and method based on correlation between normals and recognized characters.
LPR detection and OCR
Krajíček, Pavel ; Horák, Karel (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
The theme of this thesi’s deals with the detection and recognition of car license plate from pictures made of screening machine situated on a crassing or inside a car. The thesis si divided into two basic parts. First deals with searching for presence of licence plate in the picture. If the marque was found, we continue the second part of the program which identificates the found license plate. The first part of program aspires to find the licence plate by the edge detectors. The second part classifies characters by the method based on an analytical description.
OCR of image based web form protection
Peluch, Tibor ; Hrabec, Jakub (referee) ; Honzík, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with programming of application in operating system Windows. Main features of application system Microsoft Foundation Class are resumed in brief here. In following part there is idea about implementing an application with graphic user interface that makes, using schema, work with data, possible. The third part deals with implementation of blocks into dynamic linked libraries and there is outlined a possibility to use data of this programme as an external module and a possibility of realtime data processing e.g. picture and sound. The verification of a good functionality of this application is in the last part. The application is really tested in diagnosing of devaluated texts for protecting web forms www.centrum.cz. There were designed blocks making picture read possible just from internet, preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction, evaluationg in neural network and blocks that make possible to read and save processed data into the disc.
Access to the digitaze documents of Skanska company
Černý, Petr ; Maryška, Miloš (advisor) ; Svatoš, Oleg (referee)
The final thesis deals with access to digitize documents of Skanska company. Plot the current state and try to point out the benefits of the use of converting paper documents into the digital form. The theoretical part of the work is introduction to the theory described digitization. They is description distributed devices , content recognition methods , steps before start scanning documents , description of storage digitized documents. In the following part of the work is propose to the use of electronic invoicing. The work also shown two possible solutions using the given conditions . The process of receiving electronic invoicing documents shows which steps will fall off in comparision with receiving paper invoices . The main contribution of the practical part of the work consists in analyzing and pointing out the introduction and benefits of electronic invoicing in Skanska company.

Approaches to document digitalization solutions.
Novotný, Vladimír ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Benáčanová, Helena (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to provide a survey of document digitalization and to analyse the market of companies outsourcing the document digitalization. The first part of the thesis decribes the technology of scannig and the methods of document recognition and data minig. It also decribes the systems of barcodes used to identify documents. Furthermore, this thesis includes the principles of document saving and electronic (digital) signature issues from the viewpoint of Czech legislation. Its contribution lies in analysing the companies dealing with outsourcing of the document digitalization and in the view of a company using these services. A brief outlook to the future regarding this topic is included as well.
Character recognition system
HANZLÍK, Ondřej
"The thesis proposes a system for recognition of printed text (OCR), which uses neural network for recognizing letters. The neural network is implemented using the program RapidMiner. To control the neural network is using the processes created by program RapidMiner. These processes are run directly from a Java application. RapidMiner is implemented into the java application and using its libraries is started directly from java application." directly from a Java application. The Function of OCR Technology and its Usage in Document Processing
Pouzar, Aleš ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Krsek, Libor (referee)
Owing to a boom of information technologies optical character recognition has recently become a popular and affordable technology, enabling an effective way of sharing a large amount of information stored in paper documents. This work deals with systems for document conversion of analog data into electronic and editable form. It outlines the main methodology of OCR technology, evaluates a performance of OCR applications and analyses the contribution of imaging technologies through the benchmark tests on the set of paper documents.
Electronic billing (business-economic analysis)
Toman, Ivo ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor) ; Macek, Jan (referee)
The work describes the legal and technical background of the electronic billing. The core of the work is in the cost-benefit analysis, with focus on the comparison of the fully electronic billing with manual billing and the modern billing composed of several incremental technologies.
