Private schools in the primary education system: case study of the Karlovy Vary Region

This diploma thesis focuses on private primary in the Karlovy Vary Region. It is a case study whose main aim is to present private primary schools in the context of the development of private schools at the national level. It looks at the trend of recent years, when there has been an increase in private schools across the regions of the Czech Republic. The thesis is based on secondary data obtained from relevant documents related to private education and from the known evidence available in the country. It presents the facts about private primary schools from the perspective of various authors who primarily deal with the topic in the Czech environment. The theoretical basis of the work is based on the supply and demand for education. Attention is also paid to parents as actors who have a significant influence on the existence of private primary schools. The research part provides insights into the market of private primary education in the Karlovy Vary Region. There are introduced individual schools that have been established in the region from 1991 to the present. Czech-Germans from Karlovy Vary region in the British Royal Air Force

Thesis deals with the so far neglected topic of German speaking members of the British Royal Air Force (RAF) during the Second World War, who came from the territory of today's Karlovy Vary region. In the first chapter, attention is focused to the topic in the general context - Czechoslovak citizens of German nationality who fought for the liberation of Czechoslovakia in the Czech army, i.e. in the Air force. Few selected stories of RAF members from the Karlovy Vary Region are presented. In addition to the military services themselves, the author deals with the motivation for joining the resistance and the fate of the families of all these soldiers during the Second World War. Author is also placed on their fates after 1945 and general context of their life stories. Social work with substance users in Karlovy Vary Region from the point of view of social workers

Introductions: The diploma thesis deals with the quality of social services for people at risk addicted or dependent on addictive substances in the Karlovy Vary Region from the perspective of social workers who work with these persons in the Karlovy Vary Region in contact centers and in outreach programs. For people at risk of addiction or dependent on addictive substances in the Karlovy Vary Region, social services for people over 15 years of age work well, as well as two aftercare clinics run by the non-profit organization Kotec o.p.s. and an addiction clinic run by the organization Světlo Kadaň z.s. The respondents with whom the research was carried out for the needs of this diploma thesis stated that it would be necessary to establish at least eight additional services for the mentioned group in the Karlovy Vary Region. Aim: The aim of the thesis was to map how the quality of social services for people at risk of addiction or addicted to addictive substances in the Karlovy Vary region is perceived by social workers who work with this target group in contact centers and in field programs in the territory of the Karlovy Vary region. Social policy aspects in Just Transition Plan from the perspective of Multiple Streams Framework

The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the analysis of the process of creation of social policy in the Just Transition Plan (JTP). JTP is the leading document of the Just Transition Fund, which is part of the Operational Programme Just Transition Fund. This program helps the three most affected regions with the transformation of the coal industry. Primary goal of the Just Transition is the end of coal mining and coal energy. However, the fund can also be used for other purposes, and one of them is the involvement of social policy in the form of aiding those who lost their job as a result of the transformation, as well as the long-term unemployed. It is a support from the European Union, however the EU gives the recipients of the subsidy quite a lot of freedom in the creation of Just Transition Plan. The analysis is based on the based on the theoretical concept of the Multiple Streams Framework. The theme of popular music in regional newspapers of contemporary Karlovy Vary region in the period 1957-1967

The dissertation Topic of popular music in the local press of contemporary Karlovy Vary region in the period 1957 - 1967 attempts to capture the process of official views presented in the regional press between the years 1957 - 1967 in the territory of today's Karlovy Vary Region on various genres of modern music, represented by mainstream dance music which later evolved into popular music. Articles, reviews and critiques relevant to modern music published in newspapers in area of Karlovy Vary and specialist publications dedicated to particular cultural issues in the region was used for the research. Furthermore, it was primarily jazz and rock music in Czechoslovakia known as big beat (bigbít). The introduction deals with the theoretical and methodological issues appropriate to the topic and their possible use. The next part deals with the social and cultural context in Czechoslovakia at that time, the influence of ideology on culture and simultaneously on releasing in art and society during the 1960s. Kinship care in the Karlovy vary region

O pěstounské péči se v současné době hovoří především v souvislosti koncepce plánovaného rušení dětských domovů, posílení jejího výkonu a legislativních změn v Zákoně o sociálně právní ochraně dětí. Jedna z forem pěstounské péče je příbuzenská pěstounská péče, kdy se pěstouny stávají příbuzní dítěte. Pro dítě je výhodné, že vyrůstá v prostředí, které je mu známé, existují však i nevýhody tohoto typu náhradní rodinné péče. Má práce se zabývá pozitivy i úskalími příbuzenské pěstounské péče, a to z pohledu dítěte, pěstouna, biologického rodiče a sociálního pracovníka. Cílem práce se stalo zmapování problematiky příbuzenské pěstounské péče z pohledu sociálního pracovníka orgánu sociálně-právní ochrany dětí v Karlovarském kraji.
Settlement of Karlovy Vary after the expulsion of the Germans

The topic of this diploma thesis is the Settlement of Karlovy Vary after the expulsion of the Germans. The work examines the period after the Second World War, when the German population was expelled in Czechoslovakia and subsequently settled by new inhabitants. The first part of the thesis examines the post-war situation and problems related to the settlement of the Czechoslovak border. Emphasis is placed on agricultural and industrial settlement with issued decrees. The second part of this thesis is devoted to the settlement of Karlovy Vary, which, despite all efforts, had serious problems with the lack of people interested in resettlement. The arrival of re-emigrants and minorities from foreign or neighboring states with Czechoslovakia is closely related to this issue, so this thesis will also address this topic.
