The expectations of citizens of the Czech Republic aged 18-25 from the media communication of the President of the Czech Republic on the example of Petr Pavel

This bachelor's thesis "Expectations of Czech citizens aged 1825 from the media communication of the president of the Czech Republic using the example of Petr Pavel" aims to reveal and describe what values, characteristics, approaches and elements this population group expects from the president's communication, to map their perception of media communication of the presidential office and give a more accurate picture of their method of obtaining information about the performance of the office of the president. Furthermore, this thesis focuses on obtaining a comprehensive idea of the ideal frequency and channels for the media presentation of the president from the perspective of the investigated age group. This bachelor's thesis opens with a theoretical part introducing values, factors and concepts of media communication described in scientific literature, as well as studies, researches and findings in the field of media communication related to the consumption of media by the examined age group. The proces of acquiring social competences for people with hearing impairment

The presented diploma thesis analyzes how the process of acquiring social competences for people with hearing impairment takes place. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical parts and divided into four chapters. In the theoretical part, there are chapters clarifying the importance of hearing in the process of social competences and the effect of its lack on an individual's life. We will also find chapters clarifying the problem of hearing impairment and the definition of social competences with regard to hearing impairment. In the practical part, the research reveals the subjective attitude to which extent certain institutions were involved in the process in the life of the respondents. The practical part further analyzes whether the necessary social competences are the same from the point of view of the hearing and deaf communities. The mentioned research indirectly follows on from a part of the research that was described in the bachelor's thesis (Mihočová, 2022), where the research revealed what social competences are suitable for satisfactory social functioning from the perspective of hearing individuals. Inventure of the City Center ? Brno – Veveří – Žerotínovo náměstí

The main subject of the thesis is a revision of current area framing northwest part of Žerotín Square, that nowadays consists of so called White house (center for children health care and a seat of a medical school). The design is based on theoretical situation concerning the removal of White house and therefore it uses the newly existing place as a subject for new architectural solution. The solution emphasizes the completion of current block of buildings with large courtyard and corner between Žerotín Square and Veveří street, which is very important for traffic. The thesis is focusing on finding the right form, scale and functional content which would reflect the importance of the location, especially focusing on the Brno’s ring road that goes directly to Denisovy sady and accessibility of this city’s part. It also respects the design of the back side of the Red Church. The design uses the newly existing place as a location for new apartment building that reflects the scale of similar buildings in Marešov and other nearby streets and it also proposes administration building as an architectural solution for this location, which would be used as a seat for both municipal and national institutions.

The topic I have chosen for my diploma thesis is the curation of architecture as a possible overlap of teaching architecture towards the general public, but also a tool for connecting academic and municipal institutions. In my work I will examine the possibilities of creating an architecture center within the Faculty of Architecture, BUT. Galleries and museums of architecture, and thus various other associations and groups dealing with architecture, often function as separate institutions. I decided to solve the creation of a similar center, which as such has been missing in the Czech environment for many years, through its placement in academia. In my work I will first focus on the theoretical study of the possibilities of presentation and representation of architecture together with new approaches in the field of exhibition and curation of architecture. Subsequently, I will deal with the possibilities of connecting the activities of the Center of Architecture and the Faculty of Architecture. The aim of the work will be a practical design of the center within the BUT campus, for which I chose a space near Veveří Street in Brno, also known as Academic Square. For me to design the center, it will be important for me to analyze the place and find possibilities for its new concept. Today, the space of the Academic Square is in a state of disrepair and is waiting for an important gesture that can unite the place. Can it be the center of architecture?

Diploma thesis Background identity is a series of events through which I am trying to find a harmony between the magic of art and life. I decided to initiate the situation, "performance" mediating an authentic, strong feelings. I tend to performance associated with life in the self-reflective approach. Based in my own performative practice in which the strength and authenticity is reflected primarily in the exchange of energy between the audience and the performer. I started to define an ideal conditions for performance to achieve this exchange, authentic experience and mutual perception of the situation within the relationship between "performer" and "spectator". In November 2015 I planned "authentic performances " series . The mutual forming of "performing" act I have anchored in the concept of identity, which is infinitely formed in relationships and the never-ending negotiation process. In the name of authenticity I am exposing myself within the anonymity of public space and waiting for the moment of identification. Waiting for concrete spectator who is already a part of me within a certain social role. Unexpected intervention into the everyday life of concrete person make the opportunity of authentic experience. Experience which is a part of his everyday life completes the action, giving the context. During the realization I got the opportunity to exhibit in the Palais de Tokyo. Aware of the significance of this opportunity for the development of my own artistic career I have decided to accepted it as a challenge. Although the terms of institution are utter contradiction of those conditions I had defined previously for authentic experience. In the name of authenticity and my principles I decided to be present in the role of spectator. To be invisible to this prestigious gallery. Be invisible to the artistic group Delta Total through which I had the opportunity to exhibit. To be inside and outside in the same time. The starting point of the last part is a necessity with the goal to get a master's degree. The necessity of outcome for jury can also betray my ideals of living authentic event. I should mediate all the experience of past events (to date 20th of April- thirty-three events) which happened in so many different places in the space of "Malá Amerika" in Brno...

Institutions and economic growth

This bachelor thesis studies the relationship between the quality of political and economic institutions and economic growth using panel data models of 169 countries over the period 1990-2021. The study provides the necessary evidence that institutions support economic growth. Economic institutions have greater significance in comparison with political institutions which can be caused by not creating a specific category for non-democratic, oil-oriented countries. An additional model was conducted on 90 countries with data from 2000 to 2021 to find determinants of institutional quality which are tax revenue, economic development, and cultural and geographical effects. These findings and pitfalls may benefit both researchers and policymakers seeking a better understanding of growth-enhancing institutions.

The Effects of the Level of Motivation for Junior Staff in Ghana: The Case of University of Ghana, Legon

Abstract This study is about the connection between the types of motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and their effects on employee performance. The thesis is an extensive research on the campus of the University of Ghana together with a review of the work of other scholars. In prior research on this subject led by Vroom (1964) it was presumed that a positive relationship between motivation and employee performance was non-existent. Be that as it may, later researches demonstrated that it is a possibility indeed to motivate employees intrinsically and extrinsically to perform to their maximum best, and that employee motivation and job performance are decidedly related (Petty et al., 1984). Those latter theories proved that when organizations put the right measures in place, employees are naturally propelled to repay management with improved performance. This perceived relationship is investigated in this thesis and the idea is to provide valuable information to stakeholders in the management of public universities in Ghana, especially the University of Ghana, to help make informed decisions on junior staff employees in these institutions. At the end, the researcher makes useful policy recommendations to management of public universities in Ghana to help forestall the possibility of industrial actions, which have plagued the Ghana labour market from hitting the country’s few public universities.

The Foreign Activities of the European Union

The bachelor's thesis entitled "Foreign Activities of the European Union" deals with processes and internal affairs and their subsequent impact on setting priorities in concluding bilateral and multilateral agreements on the international level. The work defines the integration development, starting with the Coal and Steel Treaty, the Treaties of Rome, the Schengen Agreement, the Single European Act, the creation of the European Union, the Maastricht Treaty, the Treaty of Amsterdam and the Reform Treaty of Lisbon. The thesis defines necessary key institutions of the Union and determines the coordinated activities that independent institutions have towards non-member countries or international organizations, or fundamentally participate in the future direction of the European Union's international activities. The bachelor's thesis presents the procedures of foreign trade negotiations, then the development and activities of the Common Foreign and Defence Policy of the European Union and the European External Action Service and the publication of foreign instruments of the EU. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to find out and determine which politics and internal affairs of third countries are primarily influenced by the foreign activities of the European Union. On the basis of bilateral and multilateral agreements concluded between or among the European Union and other states or international groupings, the work defines examples in practice where changes in internal affairs are visible in certain areas, such as changes in the legislative framework, which were the result of the subject enforced by European Union. The bachelor thesis specifically assesses taxes, transport, energy, economic affairs, humanitarian aid and civil protection, human rights, regional affairs, justice and home affairs, space affairs, education and culture, employment and social affairs, environment and climate change, and lastly agriculture and food safety. The influence of the European Union on individual sub-activities of non-member states is defined into three groups. Most affected, average affected and least affected.

Potential migration of medical students with special regard to the influence of institutions versus family and other personal networks

International migration and recruitment of medical staff are receiving increasingly higher levels of attention. Especially since the Covid-19 pandemic, which broke out at the beginning of 2020, has brought attention to the global shortage of medical practitioners. Czechia has insufficient numbers of medical doctors and the country's age distribution for the profession is inadequate. Hence, within the Czech healthcare system, the migration of medical practitioners abroad is considered a relatively critical issue, particularly concerning young doctors and recent medical graduates. This diploma thesis examines the potential migration of medical students focusing on the influence of institutions as opposed to familial or other personal networks; these fulfil an important role in relation to the patterns of migration. The goal is to determine the probability of medical students' intention to migrate abroad for work. The thesis also aims to establish to what extent this migration is realistic. Part of the research focuses on the study of other selected characteristics, such as motives for leaving, length of migration, target destinations, or barriers that inhibit the move abroad. Between an art and a spectator. Exposition. Projection. Inter-action.

The thesis deals with the conceptual design of a space for the Liberal Arts Society in Brno in relation to the institution of the Brno House of Arts. The overarching motif of the Liberal Arts Society is the Liberal Arts Society Festival (LASF). The proposal builds on the research and theoretical part, exploring the relationship between contemporary art and the canon, the issue of exhibition spaces and institutions engaged in the exhibition and presentation of visual art, the role of the spectacle within these institutions and the role of visual art in society. It also builds on research stemming from philosopher Gilles Deleuze's book What is Philosophy?, whose reflections it further develops to explore the relationship between philosophy, art and science, with creation as their central motif, their interrelationships and how they influence, overlap and complement each other. The whole work is conceived as a utopian proposal for a new typology of architecture and the relationships, between the various scientific, artistic and philosophical disciplines. One of the key motifs of the work is also an attempt to map the process of how the design itself was created and shaped.
