Alternative Dispute Resolution in Civil Disputes between Patients and Heathcare Providers Abstract This thesis is centered on addressing the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods concerning conflict resolution between healthcare providers and patients in the Czech Republic. The initial chapter delves into the substantive aspects of ADR in civil disputes within the healthcare sector. The first subchapter provides a brief overview of the civil liability of healthcare providers. Subchapter two explores the doctor-patient relationship, shedding light on some of its problematic facets that can lead to conflicts. Chapter three focuses on ADR. It not only defines the concept of alternative dispute resolution but also employs charts to compare mediation and litigation, highlighting the potential of ADR. The subsequent subchapter outlines the characteristics of ADR. While a complaint isn't strictly considered an ADR method, it plays a crucial role in the healthcare sector, acting as a precursor to the ADR process. Thus, the following section delves into the complaint mechanism and the individuals responsible for handling complaints, including hospital ombudsmen, lawyers, and the Public Defender of Rights. The diploma thesis introduces in general the historical development of the crea-tion and method of waste disposal and, in more detail, the issue of hazardous waste in healthcare facilities. Furthermore, with the applicable legislation that applies to waste disposal and also with the technical requirements for medical waste incinerators. It will evaluate the possibility of repair or total reconstruction and further use of the currently unused waste incinerator in a regional hospital. Next, we will describe the current technical state of the incinerator, a proposal for a possible solution in the form of a total reconstruction, and an economic assessment of the operation of the incinerator. We will compare the results with disposal options by handing over to another specialized company or decontamination of hazardous waste directly in the medical facility. We will compare the proposed possible solutions for waste disposal.
Corruption in selected sectors in the Czech Republic and possibilities of its reduction

The research report includes a description of the project, its methodology, and an analysis of the research results regarding direct and indirect experiences with corruption in six sectors of the Czech Republic (sports, education and science, healthcare, debt collection, territorial and construction management, public procurement). In addition to the results analysis and recommendations for improving the fight against corruption, the report also describes the methodology for measuring experience with corruption in selected sectors in the Czech Republic. It summarizes insights from all phases of the project from a methodological perspective and provides specific recommendations on the potential replication of the research. The results are beneficial for other central administrative authorities and their efforts to reduce corruption in sectors (such as the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Regional Development).
Role of social worker - challenges and limits of work

1 Abstract The diploma thesis "The role of a social worker in a psychiatric hospital - challenges and limits of work" deals with the profession of a social worker in a psychiatric hospital. The diploma thesis normally consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part is focused on mental illness, the characteristics of serious mental illness, the profession of a social worker working in a psychiatric hospital, multidisciplinary cooperation, the specifics of working with the mentally ill, the reform of psychiatric care and the organization of inpatient psychiatric care in the Czech Republic. In the empirical part, the qualitative research methodology is described and the data, which are the result of semi-structured interviews with social workers and their clients, are interpreted. At the end of the thesis, the main research question is answered, recommendations for practice and proposals for further research are included. Requirements for accepting travel nurse in hospital care

v AJ: The theis focuses on a new potential role for nurses in a hospital facility. The traveling nurse is a healthcare professional who works at the location of current need. I tis only about the nurse position within healthcare facilities. The aim of the thesis was to determine the conditions that a traveling nurse should fulfill to be accepted in a hospital facility. For the reseach part were used questionaries supported by the semi-structured interviews. The research results indicate that in order to be positively accepted, a traveling nurse should fulfill the requirements of the legislative education for nurses in the Czech Republic. Along with this, sufficient practical knowledge and familiarity with nursing care are also necessary. Desired characteristics of a traveling nurse include mainly communication, flexibility, teamwork, and empathy. The results also revealed that in order for the traveling nurse to work effectively, it is necessary to establish conditions and define boundaries under which the traveling nurse will operate in the healthcare facility. Information was drawn from databases such as EBSCO, PubMed, and MEDLINE, as well as from both English and Czech periodicals, and various online sources.

This thesis focuses on the reflection of the compulsory service of junior doctors and medical students during the most critical covid period from March 2020 to March 2022. All narrators working in two European countries. It will also discuss how the narrators themselves have dealt with the new conditions or opportunities that Covid-19 has brought them; how much theory differs from practice; and whether this experience has influenced the narrators' preferences or attitudes towards work and thus towards life itself. This bachelor's thesis addresses the topic of Health Insurance and Insureds' Rights in the Czech Republic. Considering the current shortage of financial resource in the field of healthcare and insurance, this issue is extensively discussed. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the functioning of the Czech Republic health insurance system and delve into the rights of the insured individuals. The theoretical part of the thesis purely focuses on describing the legal regulations governing health insurance in the Czech Republic and explores the relationship between health insurance companies and policyholders. Given the extensive legislation, the identification of key laws and regulations is crucial in understanding the role of health insurance as financial protection for all insured individuals. The thesis also examines the various possibilities for utilizing health insurance in healthcare. Studies, articles, laws, statistics, and other relevant sources serve as the basis for analysis and evaluation of this issue. The bachelor's thesis strives to contribute to a better understanding of the current situation of health insurance in the Czech Republic and it's impact on the rights of the insured and patients. The conclusions of the thesis can be used for further research and discussion in this crucial area of the national economy, which affects citizens of all age groups. Moreover, the thesis can serve as a resource for professionals working in the health and social field, who daily encounter practical aspects of healthcare and provide information to patients.

Reconciliation of family and work life in healthcare Abstract Reconciliation of family and work life is currently a topic of fundamental importance, not only from the perspective of the individual, but also from the perspective of society, as it relates to many issues of societal importance, such as the promotion of equality between men and women on the labour market, increasing the employment of women and motivating young couples to start families in order to increase the birth rate. Although the topic of harmonization of work and family life is currently receiving relatively high attention, and the regulations of labour law and social security law contain a wide range of instruments supporting the reconciliation of family and work life, it shall be remembered that there are professions that are more accessible than others for harmonizing work and family life (especially, for instance, "white collar" jobs, with the possibility of relatively wide flexibility). However, there are also professions in which it is very difficult to imagine an employee working from home or using, for instance, flexible working hours, as the nature of that particular profession does not allow it.
