Verification of Numerical Simulation Using a 3D Optical System for Measuring Deformations
Zakl, Alexandr ; Peterková, Eva (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis discusses the current state of optical metrology and its place in manufacturing and optimization of parts made by deep-drawing technologies. First part is devoted to building a solid knowledge base in different fields that this thesis draws from. These fields are Optical Metrology, deep drawing of sheet metal and simulations using finite elements method. Subsequently, in the experimental part there are chapters dedicated to Measurement and creation of material models and measurement of grid markings on deep-drawn parts provided by ACO Industries, measured by photogrammetric system from German Company GOM metrology. Additionally, for reference to the measurement, FEM software called PAM-Stamp is used to simulate and predict the final state of the parts after manufacturing. Furthermore, optical metrology was used during creation of material models, data supplied by this analysis was used as an input for the simulations. The last chapter then deals with the evaluation and comparison of measured and simulated data and drawing conclusions about the reliability of optical systems and modern technologies in technical practice.
Proposal of the Plastic Overload Clutch
Ujčík, Martin ; Mrázek, Dušan (referee) ; Samek, František (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the proposal of the geometrical change on the sliding holder which is ensuring adjusting of the headlamp in to the correct position. It means a change of geometrical concept. Proposed geometry overtakes the security function of the overload clutch witch ensured in current solution additional part. Proposal was created in CAD System Catia. Function of the solution was tested with finite element method in SimDesigner program and with the evaluation of measuring of prototype part.

Závacký, Martin ; Rupp, David (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is to create a conceptual study of the tunnel on high speed railway. Selection of suitable cross section and tunnelling method with considering of geological conditions of the site. Design of primary support and technological process of construction.
Simulation of a temperature field of the FDM printhead
Rousek, Jakub ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the thermal behaviour of the printhead used on RepRap 3D printers. The main focus was on heatbreak zone, where are located important processes in terms of softening and melting of materiál. For choosed printheads is looked at effect of their design on the temperature profile and lenght of thermoplastic transition phase. For the purpose of simulations, 3D models were created using CAD system. These models were then used as vase for the simulation models of temperature distribution and spreading. The prinhead used for CR10 printer reach significantly worse result of heat distribution in heatbreak for model with bolt attachment between heat block and heatsink. This attachment is increasing temperature at the bottom of of heatsink and also increasing length of transition zone. The same attachment is look at for the second type of printhead – A10M. Here is difference less noticable. The heat transfer by attachment bolts is compenzated by reducing thickness of wall in the heatbreaks. For the printhead type diamond was deemed necessery usage of insulation materiál between heat block and rst of the components. Insufficient insulation is increasing risk of clogging and thermal damage to construction supporting fan.

Bachelor’s thesis is dealing with finite element method and using it in thermal simulations by Ansys Workbench.
Optimization of a small induction machine’s slots
Šišák, David ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis deals with optimization of the shape of the stator and rotor slots of induction motor with focusing on increasing efficiency. The theoretical part introduces the principles of optimization algorithms. Another part is devoted to design the shape of slots and its influence on the shape of slots on machine. On the models of motor was conducted the optimized shape of slots by using a genetic algorithm. Firstly, it was performed by using the analytical calculation in the RMxprt program, then by using the finite element method on two different models, whose difference simulates the influence of the production technology on the efficiency of the motor. Laboratory measurement was made on a real machine as well. The results of the measurement, calculations and optimizations are compared in the work.
Design and analysis of three-phase induction motor
Svoreň, Jan ; Skalka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This project is focused to projecting and analysing the three-phase induction machine. It starts with introduction to principle functions of electrical machines and their design issues. The main objective is to develop a method to calculate and analysis a smaller machine. The design involves the calculation of the main dimensions of the machine, the calculation of the number and dimensions of the rotor and stator grooves and calculation of the stator windings. Designed machine is analysed by calculation and finite elements method.
Overhead travelling crane 125t
Peprník, Pavel ; Zimola, Lubomír (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the assessment of drafted steel construction of overhead travelling crane by using finite element method. The crane’s lifting capacity is 125t/32t. It is going to be placed in hall of Slovácké strojírny, a. s. in Uherský Brod. Span of the crane is 25.8 meters, wheelbase is 6.7 meters and lifting height is 17 meters. My work contains analysis and assessment of crane construction with a load of fatigue according to ČSN 27 0103.
Sheet thickness optimization of the bolted steel tank
Konečný, Jiří ; Lyčka, Petr (referee) ; Skalka, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with bolted steel tanks, especially modification one of them. This modification is realized in cooperation with Kohimex spol. s r.o., which is assembling theese tanks for many years. The thesis continues on the bachelor one called "ASSEMBLED STEEL TANKS", which has already dealt with this issue. At the beginning of the thesis the issue of tanks is explained. Furthermore, there is made description of the tank modification details. At the next stage, the work presents stress-strain states of the tank, first for the current tank and then for the modified option. On the basis of completed analysis is made economic evaluation of design modified tank option due to the current tank. The results of this study allow better issue understanding of bolted tanks designing or they give impuls to improve the current way of designing.
A posteriori error estimation method for partial differential equations solution
Valenta, Václav ; Horová, Ivana (referee) ; Vala, Jiří (referee) ; Kunovský, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with gradient calculation in triangulation nodes using weighted average of gradients of neighboring elements. This gradient is then used for a posteriori error estimation which produce better solution of partial differential equations. This work presents two common methods - Finite elements method and Finite difference method.
