Software for teaching MATLAB programming with gamification features

Visualization of forward error correction securing by block and cyclical codes
Fančal, Petr ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis provides an introduction to the principles of forward error correction securing by linear block and cyclical systematic codes and its visualization by educational application. First part of the thesis contains comprehensive theoretical base of principles of forward error correction securing and capability of linear block and cyclical systematic codes. Second part describes the educational application, realized in graphical user interface GUI of MATLAB. This application step by step visualizes parts of procedures of securing, error detection and correction. Its main benefit is its usability as illustrative teaching aid.
New Technologies in Education

Mobile Application "Paramedic doggy" - Brain Stroke
Rosinská, Monika ; Bambušek, Daniel (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the thesis was to create educational application for kids in age 7-10 years on the topic first aid for brain stroke. Application was developed for operating system Android by using Unity game engine. The game was developed while taking into account psychology, emotions and educating children, and it's using gamification. Children who played the game are able to recognize the symptoms of brain stroke and know what to do in similar situations. Benefits of this application are that children can give first aid and call ambulance if needed. They can also recognize the symptoms of brain stroke.
A Tool for Practising Knowledge for Graduation
Mořkovský, Samuel ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create an educational mobile application for a subject History of arts and culture. The main target group are high schools. Firstly, initial research with students was done about their experience with mobile educational appliactions and opinion about mentioned subject. After the research a mobile appliaction was implemented for Android and iOS systems. Then, a server application processes the logic and communicates through HTTP with mobile applications on users devices. Data are stored in a relational databaze MySQL. The content is managed through a web interface with login. After the implementation, an UX test was performed with students to obtain feedback. The result was a positive reaction and if there was more content, students would actively use the application. The results of this thesis show that students find the application useful and is worthy for further development.
Mobile Application for Easy Online School Education and Communication with Students
Otáhal, Lukáš ; Vlnas, Michal (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the work is to create a supporting mobile application for students and teachers, enhanced with capabilities that are not yet available in existing school applications on the market. Černík, Václav ; Křížek, Marek (advisor) ; Houfková, Jitka (referee)
Interactive application for teaching the topic of the Earth as a planet Abstract The thesis is focused on the creation of an interactive application for teaching the topic of the Earth as a planet at secondary schools. The theoretical part generally deals with digital technologies for teaching, educational applications and pedagogical-psychological aspects of the subject. The topic was defined and analyzed using curriculum documents, textbooks and school atlases. Based on the analysis, partial topics were selected and turned into an application that covers separate learning objects. 8 learning objects were created ("Distances and dimensions", "Earth's orbit", "Seasons", "Solar time", "Moon phases", "Solar and Lunar eclipses", "Orbiting around the barycenter", "Tidal phenomena") and 4 learning objects were taken ("Solar System", "Earth's shape - geoid", "Time zones", "Future eclipses"). Each learning object has been provided with its theoretical introduction and methodological questions and tasks. The final educational application will be available on the Internet as a web application, without the need for installation. Keywords: educational application, interactivity, teaching Geography, the Solar System, the Earth, the Moon
