Problems in machining of titanium alloys
Drábek, Tomáš ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis contains a brief overview of some experimental methods that are used in machining technologies. The experimental part at first elaborates on the analysis of two titanium alloys. The actual experiment, which consists of milling of the two aforementioned materials with the use of several tools and holders, is then described. It was conducted in collaboration with the company Frentech Aerospace s.r.o. When milling, forces were measured with piezoelectric dynamometer. Further, the analysis of acquired data that is followed with discussion about its main findings, is provided. The conclusion of the thesis deals with the found facts corresponding with the information obtained by analysis of materials. The main results arise out of the comparison of used combinations of tools and holders for milling of material Ti-Al6-V4, observation of impact of particular factors on measured force, or out of different values of measured forces when milling two given materials.

Rampáček, Bernard ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Maršálek, Ondřej (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the problematic of measuring motorcycle performance output using dynamometers primary designed for measuring performance output of four wheel personal vehicles, proposals and comparison of possible designs of device that enable this method of motorcycle performance output measuring by using FEA methods.
Stand for Single Cylinder Engine Testing
Sikora, Ondřej ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with construction design of stand for testing single-cylinder turbocharged engine. The first part describes principles and possibilities of measuring the performance parameters of internal combustion engines. It also analyzes the issue of measuring single-cylinder combustion engine. The main part of thesis is about construction design of stand, which describes the individual technical solutions of the general construction parts. The last chapter deals with numerical simulation, which uses modern software tools. This software helps with verification of function design.
Experimatal Analysis of Windshield Wipers Motors
Dočekal, Martin ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
The work deals with the methods of measurement of small DC motors, especially motors used for drives wiper’s mechanisms. Furthermore, describing the internal structure and function of wiper’s engines. Measurement of these engines is carried out mainly dynamometers which is described in more details in the work. However, measuring systems consist not only from the dynamometer but also many other components such as controllers, software for testing engines, various stands, temperature and speed testers, and many others. These components are taken into account, when selecting the most suitable measuring system. There are also various systems analyzed and compared in terms of both technical and economic parameters, but also in terms of measurement options, such as immediate viewing characteristics on a PC monitor of the system assembly, the possibility of measuring the friction torque, efficiency, heating, etc. In conclusion, there is a recommendation of measuring system which I chose as the best option according to its parameters.
Pneumobile dynamometer design
Fritscher, Matyáš ; Kubík, Michal (referee) ; Jeniš, Filip (advisor)
This bachelor thesis concerns design of measuring station with a dynamometer for a racing pneumobile developed by a student team. The aim of this device is to simplify the process of tuning of the vehicle and to make it more precise. At the beginning of the work, there is a research of current commercial solutions of dynamometer stations. Then, while choosing a suitable brake, there is an evaluation of the possibility of repurposing an old brake, given by the university for this project. After verifying that it meets the necessary requirements, there are several concept solutions presented. For the selected concept, with a specific design for this vehicle, there is a complete design solution including safety analysis of selected nodes.
Selection of the optimal VBD geometry for a given technology
Šuga, Samuel ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Fiala, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis is focused on testing the roughing of different geometries of negative D-type tools during turning long thin parts with a slenderness ratio of 15 or more. 5 tools were selected for this task. Data from the cutting process was measured using a dynamometer, accelerometer and microphone for sound recording. The results are evaluated using FFT analysis and other signal processing methods as graphical outputs. The aim is to select the most suitable type of geometry for this application.
Methods of correction performance parameters of the diesel engine
Charouz, Ondřej ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with obtaining the most suitable way of correcting the influence of intake air pressure, temperature and humidity as well as correcting the influence of fuel properties (diesel fuel). These correction factors are adapted to a specific engine for military use. It is a four-stroke, diesel, turbocharged, 6-cylinder engine, PV6-K37, with a displacement of 19100 cm3. This work also deals with the creation of a methodology for the measurement of this motor at the engine station and with the treatise on current methods of power correction. The measurements were made in the premises of Excalibur Army Ltd. in Šternberk.
Testing of piston combustion engines
Humpolíček, František ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to compile knowledge and provide a comprehensive overview of the testing of piston combustion engines, dynamometers and types of testing for engines designed for agricultural machinery. Types of various tests are described, dynamometers are categorized and the characteristics of individual components are studied. Different types of tests are also categorized and their principles summarized. Based upon these findings, the most suitable configurations are determined for a borrowed dynamometer to measure agricultural machinery. The borrowed dynamometer was used to conduct practical measurements of the external speed characteristics of combustion engines in agricultural machinery. It was experimentally determined that the duration of measurement is limited by the reduced efficiency of eddy current brakes due to increasing rotor temperature.
Mechanical design of a test stand for an electric brake
Lacko, Peter ; Ripel, Tomáš (referee) ; Hrbáček, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with mechanical design of test stand for an electric brake. A part of this thesis is manufacturing documentation and 3D model of test stand with accessories.
Utilization of biomass for micro cogeneration
Daňhel, Aleš ; Šejvl, Radovan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with utilization of biomass for micro cogeneration. The theoretical part of the master’s thesis defines main terms of the master’s thesis, which is biomass and cogeneration. The practical part of the master’s thesis is focused on the design and manufacturing of small micro cogeneration unit based on a small membrane steam engine.
