Complement - The Comparison of Academic and School Conception
Hančin, Marek ; Doležalová, Eliška (advisor) ; Hirschová, Milada (referee)
The master thesis "Complement - The Comparison of Academic and School Conception" examines the professional and school concepts of the often-discussed clause element - complement. The author compares selected linguistic approaches to the complement, focusing primarily on the similarities and differences in the different conceptions - what linguists (dis)consider to be a complement, how the complement is realized, what is the division of the complement. In the school conception, the author analyses the key educational documents (the Framework Educational Programmes, the requirements for the didactic test in Czech language, the requirements for the Unified Entrance Examination in Czech language and the textbooks used in teaching Czech) and the teachers' view of this clause element. The author aims to find out whether the complement is a compulsory part of education and whether textbooks provide appropriate support for functional work with the complement. In the conclusion of the paper, the author proposes three methodological lessons of his own, based on the above-mentioned analysis, which can be used in Czech language classes. The starting points for these lessons are the communicative goals of Czech language teaching, the constructivist model of teaching, and the integration of linguistic and...
Possibilities of integrating Art Education with the Czech Language and Literature Education
Kohl, Lukáš ; Fišerová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Fulková, Marie (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibilities of integrating art education and Czech language and literature education. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part both subjects are introduced. The chapters devoted to art education deal with the factors that may influence its position in Czech schools. These chapters also deal with the main areas that art education is focused on (fine arts and visual culture) and with the didactic approaches that can be applied in art education. The chapters about Czech language and literature education describe its three components (language education, literature education and communication and style education) and relate them to the content of art education. In the first section of the practical part of this thesis, specific school activities of an interdisciplinary nature are proposed. Also, general principles are suggested on the basis of which a teaching unit integrating art education with Czech language and literature education can be built. In the second section, a plan for a teaching unit on the topic of illustration is presented, followed by a record of two implementations of the planned teaching unit, in which pedagogical action research was carried out to improve and streamline future teaching. Reflection on the teaching...
The occurrence of interference errors in the teaching of German as a foreign language caused by the influence of Czech as a mother language with a focus on the area of sentence structure of high school students
Nováková, Tereza ; Nečasová, Pavla (advisor) ; Botlík Nuc, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the issue of interlingual interference between Czech and German. It focuses on the area of sentence structure, which can be very different in these languages. In addition to the most common errors made by students in this area of German language learning, the thesis also focuses on some selected didactic factors that contribute to the student's success and error rate. These include, for example, the use of methods, the work with the textbook and the teacher's general approach. One of the goals of the research was to map the most frequent mistakes made by Czech high school students in the area of sentence structure. It also focused on teachers' experience and approach to deal with interference errors during classes. The last part consisted of an analysis of a selected German language textbook used by students and teachers at a relevant language level. The results showed that students have the most difficulties with word order within subordinate clauses, especially with the conjunctions 'denn', 'weil' and 'wenn', and with the verbatim translations. Most teachers include work with the linguistic structures of the Czech language in their lessons. They mostly work with interference by pointing out the problematic phenomenon, explaining it and giving further examples. Only a few of...

Furthermore, this chapter lists the various causes of delayed speech development that inhibit or otherwise limit its fluency and their effects on a child's vocabulary. The theoretical part of this thesis is concluded by a list of selected methods for evaluating vocabulary and speech comprehension. The practical part is based on an active and passive vocabulary test. This test was carried out in three age groups - younger kindergarten class, older kindergarten class and a primary school first class, each of ten children. The section testing passive vocabulary consisted of ten themes, each theme containing eight stimulant words. Respondents then assigned these words to images from the image attachment. The active vocabulary section required an...

Representative Problems Faced by Beginning Teachers of Russian and Czech
Šimková, Kateřina ; Rozboudová, Lenka (advisor) ; Konečný, Jakub (referee)
The theoretical part focuses on the aspects of the teaching profession and teacher's competencies, followed by a description of beginning teachers of the Czech language and Russian as a second foreign language. This thesis also summarises the most common problems faced by these teachers. In the practical part, these problems are compared by a semi-structured interview with beginning teachers. In these days, beginning teachers of Czech and Russian are faced with problems related to the integration of arrived Ukrainian pupils in the context of the war in Ukraine. Most respondents point to the same gaps in the university preparation, namely the problematic form of internships, teaching of professional subjects, didactics, pedagogy and psychology. As for the introduction to the position, the most common form of support is the introducing teacher, who was assigned to most of the respondents, but cooperation was often formal or otherwise dysfunctional. Beginning teachers of Czech and Russian have the same issues with the textbook series, that they must use, and with the pupil evaluation. Compared to beginning teachers of Russian, beginning teachers of the Czech language face more challenges in identical areas (e.g. discipline, preparation time, communication with parents) and higher demands are placed on...

They filled in the questionnaire's information about the meanings of anglicism and its usage in the Czech language. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is a literary survey and the second one is a practical part. The results are published in a graphical and tabular form. The information obtained from the questionnaire survey helped to confirm/refute the predetermined hypotheses.
