The topic of this thesis is description, analysis and proposal of turbo generator’s control and protection system. The power output of turbo generators is from 3 MVA up to 75 MVA for various industrial sectors. The final proposal is based on the results of this analysis and it consists of a modern control and protection turbo generators systems. This proposal is designed to respect universality, customer’s requirements. And this proposal should be used in many industry branches.

Nymburk sugar factory under the management of Hanuš Karlík

The aim of this diploma thesis is to restore awareness of the Czech sugar industry tradition. For this intention I chose Nymburk sugar factory in an era, when one of the most important personas of Czech sugar industry Hanuš Karlík was its director. The thesis consists of a brief introduction to the history of Czech sugar industry, where the establishment of Nymburk sugar factory is set, followed by a description of the period when Hanuš Karlík was the director and how his administration influenced both Nymburk sugar factory and sugar industry in general. In the conclusion, there is a view on the sugar factory after Karlík left and the fate of the sugar factory that led to an infamous end. The work is primarly based on local archival sources, memoirs and newspappers. Several books about the history of Nymburk and about common history of sugar industry are used to set the topic in a wider historical context.

Hanuš Karlík 1850-1927 ABSTRACT This BA thesis presents the life of Hanuš Karlík, an important Czech sugar industrialist. It focuses on his personal as well as professional life and his achievements in associations and societies of sugar industry. It was these achievements that put him in charge of Czechoslovakian sugar industry once Czechoslovakia had been established. The thesis also puts his life into the historical context of development of sugar industry in Bohemian Lands in the second half of 19th and first quarter of 20th century. Analysis of sugar industry in 2004-2016 in Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to analyse sugar industry in 2004-2016. This work examines the influence of the Czech accession to the EU on sugar industry development. The theoretical part deals with an explanation of basic terminology and theories such as production quotas, protectionism, grants or interest groups. This work aims to find out whether the Czech EU accession did or did not do harm to the Czech sugar industry. The main objective of the practical part follows the development of production quotas, prices of sugar and sugar industry in general. Besides other things, this thesis also focuses on the time period before 2004. The Czech Republic is one of the first former socialist states to implement completely regulated sugar market. This work ascertains that rather than by the Czech EU accession, the Czech sugar industry was harmed by historical development, thus mostly by the processes in the 90s when plenty of Czech sugar refineries could not manage the pressure of market environment.

A development of czechoslovak sugar industry in the twenties 20th century

The subject of my thesis is to analyze the difficult situation of the sugar industry in the twenties of the 20th century. The work focuses on post war reconstruction of the sugar industry through government intervention into this sector. A large part is devoted to the renewal after the First World War, to the effort to stabilize sugar industry; simultaneously the structure of newly founded institutions is analyzed, this part ends with the abolition of the Czechoslovak Sugar Commission. The next part focuses on problems of the sugar market in foreign trade; it chronologically analyzes crises, measures and international interactions. In addition, evaluation of economic results is included in every chapter. The last part is deals with the Long-term sugar cartel. Here the aim is to describe the progressive graduation of the increasingly difficult and complex measures.

Sugar factory of Dobrovice in years 1987 - 1993

This thesis deals with sugar production in Czechoslovakia in 1987 -- 1993. The issue is outlined by using the probe method in the sugar factory in Dobrovice. It describes the history and condition of the industry before 1989 which was controlled by central planning. It lists and characterizes changes in the sector after the transition to a capitalist system and market liberalization. It describes in detail the administrative, technical and financial developments in the sugar factory in Dobrovice. It examines the process of delimitation of the state company, the transformation into a joint stock company by privatization and the entry of foreign investors. The issue is elaborated on the basis of unpublished sources in the form of internal documents, which are archived in the factory and with using oral history method.
