Design of current-steering DAC for differential IQ decoder
Klein, Miroslav ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design of two channel digital to analog converter for automotive applications. In first part, different topologies of D/A converters and their properties are discussed, with focus on current steering topology. Second part deals with design of convertor topology and current steering application. In third part, all parts of designed convertor are described and simulations results are presented. The designed two channel D/A converter has differential current output with 11b resolution per channel.
Design and simulations of low-power electronically controllable functional generators
Kolenský, Tomáš ; Dvořák, Radek (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to get acquainted with the principle and function of functional generators. Furthermore, with their design using active elements that can be electronically controlled. The design and simulation results are presented in Chapter 4, which also shows schematics of simulated and measured circuits.
Analysis of mismatch modeling for various transistor models in weak and strong inversion
Dvořák, Michal ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
This work maps mismatch modeling for CMOS transistor in strong and weak inversion region. The goal is to build sufficient theoretical background describing origins of mismatch during manufacturing and its modeling and find suitable methodology, which will enable to compare 7 selected models of transistor, which was simulated.
Digital filters for image processing
Všetička, Václav ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This work is dedicated to methods for editing the digital image. When you need an suitable algorithm to highlight the desired information from the image, or conversely, suppress disturbing elements in the picture. This work describes a few most basic image editing filters to use common in technical and medical practice. The result of this work are implementing some filters into Java.
Identification of Persons in the Video from Quadcopter
Mojžiš, Tomáš ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Goldmann, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to make an application capable of recognizing people's faces based on a user-created database in drone footage. The database is made of pictures of people that should be identified in the footage. The output of this application is a video where the demanded people are labeled with their names. Some face detection and recognition state of the art solutions based on neural networks are compared in this work. The final solution consists of the MTCNN detector and a face embedding extractor based on ArcFace. The created multiplatform application allows to recognize people in drone footage even with face width of less than 20 pixels. The final solution was tested on a private dataset comprised of drone footage.
Development of high resolution RGB camera
Review, design and analysis of various types of current sources
Kacafírek, Jiří ; Khateb, Fabian (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
Review and analysis of some types of current mirrors and current reference sources and design of 5 uA current source, implemented in a 0.7um CMOS process. The designed current source use PMOS transitors with diferent Uth.
Design of low-voltage operational amplifier
Sysel, Jan ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Khateb, Fabian (advisor)
This work deals with the design of operational amplifier with extremely low supply voltage and low power consumption. In the theoretical part is presented theory dealing with the structure and design of operational amplifier. In the following part are desribed design methods suitable for realization of low-voltage circuits. In the next part were designed two operational amplifiers using low-voltage design methods. Properties of these operational amplifiers were then tested by simulations.
Design of Digital Circuits at Transistor Level
Kešner, Filip ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work aims to design process of integrated circuits on the transistor level, specially using evolutionary algorithm. For this purpose it is necessary to choose reasonable level of abstraction during simulation, which is used for evaluation candidate solutions by fitness function. This simulation has to be fast enough to evaluate thousands of candidate solutions within seconds. This work discusses already used techniques for transistor level circuit design and it chooses useful parts for new design of faster and more reliable automated design process, which would be able to design complex logic circuits. The thesis also discusses implementation of this system and used approach with regard to encountered problems in transistor-level circuit design and optimization by evolution.
Software for DSLR control for use in microscopy
Mokrejš, Jakub ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
This master's thesis initially deals with a review of cameras used in microscopy, describing their properties and the difference between microscopic and DSLR cameras. Furthermore, it describes the programs used by microscopic cameras for control via a computer. The thesis then defines the technologies used for software development and presents a design of the software's program equipment. The practical part of the thesis first describes the technologies used for software development along with a development diagram. The next section describes the functions that the software uses to communicate with the DSLR camera and introduces the software's graphical user interface. The conclusion of the practical part is devoted to testing the software itself, where it also presents various ways of its control. The test results are then evaluated in the discussion.
