The attitude of Bavaria towards Czech Republic's accession to the European Union

The present bachelor thesis deals with the attitude of the Free State of Bavaria to the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union and compares it with the attitude of the Federal Republic of Germany. First the thesis explains attitudes of the Federal Republic on the basis of secondary literature, then it gives an overview of Bavarian foreign policy, its attitude towards the eastern enlargement and of the Czech-Bavarian relations after 1989. In its analytic part the thesis identifies topics relevant to Bavaria in the context of EU-accession of the Czech Republic. Then it describes the Bavarian attitude towards two selected topics, which are historical issues and economic effects of the Czech accession to the EU on Bavaria and especially on its border regions. In the last part the thesis compares Bavarian and German attitudes in the aforementioned as well as in other areas.
Foundations in Central Europe: The Comparative Analysis of the Sector of Foundations in the Czech Republic, Bavaria and Hungary

The main aim of this work is to analyze the development of the foundations sector in three countries, in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Bavaria. From methodological point of wiew it is conceived as a comparative study. The main goal is the analysis of the development of foundations in these countries, especially after the year 1989 which meant a possibility to reestablish the foundations as a full-fledged institutions of civic society. Main theoretical basis of the work is the assumption, that the interruption of natural development of foundations in the Czech Republic and Hungary after the year 1948 had significant effects on their restoration and function after the year 1989. The work aims to analyze different approaches to restoration of foundations in the Czech Republic and Hungary and to compare their different initial conditions with the conditions in Bavaria, where the development of foundations in democratic environment with the exception of the era of Nazi Germany wasn't broken. Position of Bavaria in the German Economy and Cooperation Possibilities with the Czech Republic.

Diploma thesis deals with position of Bavaria in German economy and cooperation possibilities with the Czech Republic. The main goal of this thesis is to outline the position of Bavaria in German economy and to analyse business environment of Bavaria. Another goal is to find out, what are main negatives of cooperation between the CR and Bavaria and how to improve them. In order to support these findings, a questionnaire was conducted. Also, this thesis suggests possible areas where cooperation could be broadened. This paper presents information about Germany and Bavaria, business environment of Bavaria and possibilities of cooperation.
Investment environment of Bavaria

Bavaria, one of the wealthiest states in Germany, represents a globally active market, where not only many international companies operate but there is also a strong base of small and medium-sized enterprises in the area of trade, industry and service sector. The local government supports the further economic growth of the state through the implementation of investment policy which annually attracts many investors here. The aim of this work is to evaluate the potential and attractiveness of Bavaria from the perspective of investors as well as to analyse investment flows flowing into the state in comparison with the entire Federal Republic of Germany.
Intitucional support of bavarian export and foreign direct investment, with a focus on the Czech Republic

This master thesis deals with the support of the Bavarian export, especially from the Land of Bavaria and various institutions. The theoretical part describes the usable forms of export opportunities and export promotion policies. In the next section I focus on the distribution of the Bavarian foreign direct investment by country, where they are heading, and vice versa from where the investment are flowing into Bavaria. The thesis particularly focuses on the cooperation of Bavaria and the Czech Republic in terms of mutual economic relations.
Trade relations of the Czech Republic with Bavaria and opportunities for further expansion of mutual cooperation

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse business relations between the Czech Republic and Bavaria, the largest state of Germany. The thesis is firstly devoted to basic characteristics of Bavarian economy and also describes macroeconomic indicators. The thesis provides information on the development of mutual relations, commodity structure of trade, investments and institutional cooperation between the two countries. Finally, business opportunities for Czech and Bavarian entrepreneurs and perspectives for future cooperation are outlined.

This bachelor thesis deals with economic relations between Germany and the Czech Republic from 2004 to 2009. First chapter deals with the general economic characteristics of Germany. It is focused on foreign trade and foreign direct investment. The second chapter describes the economic relations between the Czech Republic and Germany. The most of this part writes about trade in goods and services and the flow of foreign direct investment. The third chapter deals with cooperation between the Czech Republic and Bavaria and Saxony. In conclusion prospects and perspectives of economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and Germany in the future are discussed.
Customs, festivities and way of living in Bavaria.

The dissertation concerning a given topic {\clqq}Customs, festivities and way of life in Bavaria`` focuses on one federal country in Germany and the process of its festivals and traditions. The work is divided into 3 parts, where there is gradually explained the wide range of traditions. In the introduction there are mentioned and described the particular terms used in the work. At the beginning the reader is informed about the typical local traditions in individual regions of Bavaria. The separation of this federal country gives the possibility to compare traditions and festivals. In the following parts there are chapters where the seasons of the year are defined. There are mentioned the festivals and traditions according to their occurrence in actual season of the year {--} the religion festivals, the agricultural traditions and other celebrations. In some examples there is briefly described the gastronomy of the festival. In the last part of the work there is compared some Bavor´s festivals to Czech ones. The choice is limited on the main religion festivals, which are held in both countries. There is mainly described the process and variety of Christmas and Easter celebrations. The all three parts of the work are completed with the enclosed maps and pictures. These enclosures can help the reader to make the complete conception of the mentioned traditions and festivals. The aim of this work is first of all the introduction of different celebrations in Bavaria and giving such kind of the formation that can push out the frontiers of culture knowledge.

This bachelor thesis focuses on economic situation of Germany and its largest state Bavaria. It briefly describes Bavaria's historical evolution and its political system. This thesis deals with foreign trade emphasising on export. It is also related to state intervention supporting export during economic crisis and comparison with measures adopted in the Czech Republic.

The thesis deals with the operational programs of cross-border cooperation in the Czech -- German border, Czech Republic -- Saxony operational program and Czech Republic -- Bavaria operational program. The theoretical part is generally described the issue of cross-border cooperation and are characterized and compared the Czech -- German operational programs in terms of their grant-making territory, published documents, the implementation structure, including the priority axes and areas of support in the current programming period 2007 -- 2013. The practical part is focused on projects approved by both the operational programs, both at present and in the previous programming 2004-2006. The last part is an analysis of views on practical cross-border cooperation on a sample of applicants for Czech-German operational programs.
