Effects of hippotherapy on gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy - a review study

Title: Effects of hippotherapy on gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy - a review study Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the results of studies dealing with the influence of hippotherapy on gross motor skills in children with cerebral palsy. Methods: The work was based on a review study. There were searched two electronic databases - PubMed and Web of Science (WoS). Results: A total of 115 studies were retrieved for the review study, from which 17 studies were finally included, 632 children with cerebral palsy ranging in age from 2 to 15 years participated in those studies. Six studies followed only one group (SGT), six randomised controlled trials (RCT) were also conducted and a further five studies did not use randomisation but included a control group (NCT). Conclusions: Based on the results of expert studies conducted over the last twenty years, it can be concluded that hippotherapy may be an effective therapy for children suffering from cerebral palsy. Use of methods of animotheraphy in the care of children with physical and multiple disabilities.

Bachelor thesis deals with the Use of methods of animotheraphy in the care of children with physical and multiple disabilities. In this work I describe animotherapy and thein course in the care of children with physical, mental and combined disabilities. In the first part of the bachelor thesis I deal with the definition of animotherapy, the definitions of separate types of animotherapy, such as canistherapy, hippotherapy, felinetherapy, apotherapy, ornithotherapy, doplhintherapy, caviotherapy, lamatherapy, small animal therapy, livestock therapy and exotic animal therapy. Furthermore, in the first part I deal with the definition of individual disabilities. The second part of the bachelor thesis includes qualitative research, in which information was obtained through interview with canisterapeuts. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out chat are the posibilities for the use of selected therapies in coordinated care in selected facilities.
Hippotherapy of children pacients with cerebral palsy

Cerebral palsy is a lifetime neurodevelopmental disease of the brain, resulting from damage to the developing brain prenatal, perinatal or postnatal. The disease is mainly manifested by motor disabilities and its prognosis depends mainly on early diagnosis and treatment. Nowadays, an alternative method of hippotherapy is increasingly being used. Hippotherapy is a form of animotherapy that uses a specially trained horse. This therapy is very often included in comprehensive rehabilitation care not only in clients with cerebral palsy. The interest of this bachelor's thesis is to learn about these themes and learn the impact of hippotherapy of pacients with cerebral palsy.
Therapeutic character of social agriculture

The aim of the thesis is to describe the therapeutic character of social farming. Social farming is a relatively new and dynamic field of the social economy. The thesis examines the therapeutic nature of social farms in terms of meeting human needs. It is a type of social entrepreneurship, the therapeutic aspects of which will be explored in a selected social farm through a case study. The aim of the thesis is to describe the effects that social farming has on its clients from a therapeutic point of view. The theoretical part presents a basis for describing the relationship between human and nature, that has positive psychological effects on human mental health. It also opens up concepts such as Green care, animal-assisted therapy, horticultural therapy, multifunctional agriculture and other. The empirical part explores life on a specific farm in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on the clients themselves who are employees of the social entrepreneurship through the lens of the therapeutic aspect of particular social farm. This diploma thesis deals with the use of canistherapy in the special education practise. It records the development, methods, forms and type sof canistherapy, included risks and benefits of this psychoterapeutic method. The research parts maps the relationship between the education of dog handlers and the quality of their fieldwork.

Child and horse : Animal Assisted activities for personal skills

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis defines the place of the AAA method in animotherapy and its use within hippotherapy. This part briefly presents the methodology and the range of clients of the Equine Assisted Activities (EAA). Moreover, human-animal interactions are introduced in terms of being an advantage for the personal development of a child. Additionally, risk factors related to child development are mentioned in this section. The results of the qualitative research, made up of a sample of children attending the private stable, is submitted in the practical part of the thesis. The research was based upon logs of observations and interviews with members of the stable using grounded theory. The purpose of the research is to demonstrate how contact with horses can help the mental and physical skills development of a child.
Benefits of Equine Facilitated Learning for children with special needs

This bachelor thesis called "Benefits of Equine Facilitated Learning for children with special needs," presents one of the disciplines hiporehabilitation - Equine Facilitated Learning. It points out the possibility of their application in education and comprehensive rehabilitation. The thesis contains information about organizational issues, methodology and implementation of activities. It also offers closer information about problems of children with special needs. The main aim is to point out the benefits of Equine Facilitated Learning for personal development of these children. I was also doing research which demonstrated the positive impact on selected individuals with specific needs. In this thesis there is also processed an initial version of the new methodology of Equine Facilitated Learning.
