The second part compares various image processing tools and selects the most suitable for this work. The third part proposes a solution that explains the individual methods that were used or considered for this work. The fourth part deals with the solution, explaining how the methods has been created. The next part deals with practical experiments where proposed solutions are applied to different objects in different positions. The last part is the conclusion summarizing the results of this work.
Use of 3D technology in foundry industry
Straka, Pavel ; Krutiš, Vladimír (referee) ; Pernica, Vítězslav (advisor)
The work is focused on replacing a faulty briefcase handle with an aluminium substitution. The handle is fabricated with the help of reverse engineering, where the handle is scanned with a 3D scanner. With that information, a model copy of the part is made, which is 3Dprinted from PLA and PolyCast materials. These handles are used as expendable models, which are used for casting using an “investment casting” method. Those are made from an AlSi10Mg alloy. Theoretical part deals with additive technologies, which are mostly used for manufacturing of foundry models and moulds. Next, the basic principles of 3Dscanning are described, and the term reverse engineering is also explained.
Use of Modern Technologies in Production Concept of Face Shield and Holder of Race Motorcycle
Kohoutková, Aneta ; Fišerová,, Věra (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the production design of a shield and holder for a racing motorbike KTM EXC 350. It is a SolidVision, s.r.o. commission. The thesis is divided into adjacent sections which are in accordance with the process of design. The thesis includes characteristics of particular 3D technologies, which are described in the work. The practical basis of the work involves in the actual implementation of the design - analyses the particular commission and in detail elaborated procedures of the manufacturing with the use of handheld 3D scanner and 3D design model in a parametric 3D CAD system SOLIDWORKS.The conclusion of this thesis consists of the technical-economical evaluation and comparing the work of a design engineer and 3D scanner.
Automated design and 3D printing of prototypes for urban engineering
Krutáková, Anna ; Vořechovská, Dita (referee) ; Podroužek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with automated design and 3D prototype printing for urban engineering. In the first part, there is a general definition of 3D printing, including development and overview of basic technology and materials. It also follows the focus on certain measurement methods and the creation of 3D models. In the second part, the thesis focuses mainly on the use in the building industry and it discusses related topics such as the automatic optimization of the external elements of building elements or objects(shape), the internal topology of these building elements (fill) and the possible inspiration from organic structures. There is also distinguished between terrestrial applications focusing on the production of prefabricated building components and implementation at site. Extraterrestrial autonomous applications discuss the possibilities this technology for colonizing the Moon or Mars. This thesis presents the results of a unique assessment of the current state of the art in the field of applicability of 3D technology for additive production in the context of urban engineering and demonstrates the associated advantages and open problems on many examples. Finally, the benefits of this technology are evaluated.
Projector camera cooperation
Walter, Viktor ; Horák, Karel (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The focus of this thesis is the cooperation of cameras and projectors in projection of data into a scene. It describes the means and theory necessary to achieve such cooperation, and suggests tasks for demonstration. A part of this project is also a program capable of using a camera and a projector to obtain necessary parameters of these devices. The program can demonstrate the quality of this calibration by projecting a pattern onto an object according to its current pose, as well as reconstruct the shape of an object with structured light. The thesis also describes some challenges and observations from development and testing of the program.
Usage of 3D scanning in precise injection moulding
Chylík, Michal ; Čudek, Vladimír (referee) ; Zatočilová, Aneta (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is creating a complex study on the topic of 3D scanning and reverse engineering regarding technical praxis. Part of this bachelor thesis are three examples of usage. Using 3D scanner for reconstruction of plastic parts in marketing praxis, specifically for recovering of missing data and subsequent valuation. Using 3D scanner as an inspectional tool - a support for measurement of quality of plastic moulding. And last but not least an option of creating an identical part to fit requirements of tool shop. The drawing documentation including protocol for inspect and 3D models are included in the thesis.
Proposal for Control of Manufacture Holders of the Front Wheel for Formula Student TU Brno Racing
Vašek, Lukáš ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and production of wheel control holders for the right front wheel of the formula Dragon 4 of TU Brno Racing team. In the theoretical part, the Formula Student competition is described, including the steering holders themselves and description of their function and location. Later the analysis of aluminium and its alloy was made, including description of the CERTAL material of which the holders were made. The practical part includes the design of prototype holders in the Autodesk Inventor CAD software, the design and application of machining strategies in the PowerMILL CAM software. Further, the practical part includes production on milling machines at the MCV 754 QUICK and DECKEL MAHO DMU 50 machining centre. At the end, the dimensional analysis of the part is performed, manufactured holders were compared to the CAD model of the given components and the technical and economical evaluation of the production was made.
Indication apparatus installation for a diesel engine
Slávik, Andrej ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
The issue of measuring combustion pressure has been a part of internal combustion engines since their inception. The measurement evaluates the course of pressure as a function of volume change. This dependence is plotted in indicator diagrams. Other parameters are evaluated directly, such as combustion noise, but also indirectly, i.e. by calculation from the values of indicator diagrams. Measurements can be performed with different types of sensors. However, these sensors must be properly positioned to measure the correct values. For a given motor with a problematic sensor location, a suitable sensor is selected using calculations. The engine cylinder head is processed by reverse engineering methods. According to the acquired knowledge and available solutions, two variants of piezoelectric sensor placement are proposed with the recommended use of variant no.1.
Vehicles' 3D model making
Pták, Adam ; Mikulec, Roman (referee) ; Křižák, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of creating spatial models of vehicles. The first part of this theses consists of a theoretical introduction, which explains the basic terms and methods that can be used in the creation of vehicle models. This is followed by a section that deals the current state of knowledge in this field of interest. This chapter is followed by a practical part, which deals with the creation of vehicle models using selected methods. In the last section, the findings from the practical part are summarised and evaluated. The aim of the thesis is to create models of several vehicles. On the basis of these models, the following methods are evaluated in terms of time and financial requirements. At the same time, the accuracy of the methods used in the creation of the models and their possible further use is also evaluated.
