Hritz, Jakub ; Černá, Jitka (advisor) ; Zavoral, René (referee)
This master thesis focuses on Czech Radio and its role in the support of culture. Culture has been carefully covered by the broadcasting of Czech Radio since its very foundation. The thesis provides a thorough overview of various activities that Czech Radio has been organising in this area in the programme offer of its stations, its marketing and PR activities and the organisation of cultural events as such. Based on the working experience at the Communications and External Relations Division of Czech Radio, this thesis presents a handbook for both the specialised public and potential partners and helps them understand the whole environment prior to the actual submission of their request for cooperation. This is valid for both the media cooperation and media partnership as well as the consequential possibilities and steps arising from the acceptance of the request.
Financial analysis of the Czech radio
Bernáth, Roman ; Kislingerová, Eva (advisor) ; Sieber, Martina (referee)
The focus of my thesis is the evaluation of the possibility to apply the methods of the financial analysis to the Czech Radio, i.e. to the society which is not established to make a profit, but its principal legal mission is to provide public services. The Slovak Radio which was selected to serve as a counterpart for comparison of the figures has proved to be found in a different current situation, due to varied developments in both independent republics after the division of former Czechoslovakia. Therefore, the methods of financial analysis can be applied only partly and after the adjustments in which specific conditions of environment of both institutions must be taken into account. Specific accounting procedures derived from legal frames and codes cannot be omitted either.
