Luminescence properties of phosphors for highpower LED applications

For selected YAG:Ce sample the temperature dependent absorbtion and emission spectra were measured and used to simulate white LED behavior. Various CIE-xy dependencies were observed. Sample surface scaterring parameters were calibrated using a custom-made automated goniospektrometer, which provided measured data with fine accuracy. Finally, the measured data were used to construct a Geant4 simulation to optimize two light devices for output intensity and target CIE-xy coordinates. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Ultrafast laser spectroscopy of semiconductor nanostructures

This doctoral thesis deals with analysis of carrier dynamics in semiconductor nanocrystals and nanostructures by methods of ultrafast laser spectroscopy. In three chapters silicon, InAs/GaAs, InAs/AlAs and CdSSe materials are studied. Silicon nanocrystals prepared by sol-gel method were measured by time-resolved luminescence method with various time resolutions, two-photon absorption and Z-scan method. A model describing findings was suggested. InAs was well measured by upconversion method and gained knowledge appeared to be fully consistent with quantum model. CdSe material was examined in two basic forms - thin films of nanocrystals prepared by chemical deposition and nanocrystals in comercial filters. In both cases all questions regarding influencing optical properties of nanocrystals by modification of their growth were answered.
Deployment of corporate audio-video technology

This thesis deals with the possibility of connecting, automating and controlling audio/video hardware. In the theoretical part the author deals with input and output A/V devices, A/V interfaces communication interfaces, possibility of connecting automation elements and a room control. It explains terms relating to the audio/video topic. The practical part suggests a complete design and implementation of a showroom to present the portfolio of Colsys company, which demonstrates functions of the control system Crestron, such as controlling projectors, video matrices, sound equipment and building automation (lights, air conditioning, blinds, etc.). First part of this section deals with defining the requirements for individual devices. The next step was the selection of suitable components based on fulfilling the set criteria and the budget. After that a check of compatibility was performed and room layout was designed, which contained electrical layout and a room blueprint. Final step of this section was designing the user interface and its realization in order to create the control unit program. Based on the theoretical part the author created a chapter titled Recommendation, which is verified in the practical part by creating a fully functional showroom for Colsys company, which also serves as a meeting room.

The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of coexistence of heterogeneous IT resources in the enterprise IT environment, which is based on the Windows platform. The theoretical part discusses issues related to this topic, such as the policy of BYOD, the safety issue and the possible problems associated with the use of multi-platform solutions. The practical part contains a guide for integrating device with different operating system in the business environment in the Czech Radio.
Comparison of organic scintillators

Optical, luminescence and scintillation characteristics of several organic scintillator samples were compared. Quality of starting materials was found to play a role in the efficiency, while timing characteristics were not changed that much. Energy transfer processes were studied as well.
Preparation and characterzation of optical materials

Technology has been optimized to provide longer cylindrical parts of an optical crystal for laser applications. Specific optical characteristics along the crystals grown have been measured and evaluated. At another kind of laser crystals the specific impurities were followed by magnetic and optical spectroscopies and their influence on crystal characteristics was discussed.
Highly luminescent nanophosphors - new physics, technologies and applications

The application of radiation synthesis in the manufacturing nanopowders of binary and ternary oxide nanophosphors is reviewed. Technological routes are described: irradiation of specific solutions containing soluble metal salts and OH radical scavenger by UV or ionizing radiation results in the formation of finely dispersed solid phase which is separated from the solution and subsequently converted by further thermal treatment into crystalline nanopowders with typical dimension of grains of several tens of nanometers. Doped ZnO, Y2O3, Y3Al5O12, Lu3Al5O12 and Gd3(Ga,Al)5O12 nanophosphors were prepared and their luminescence and scintillation characteristics were measured. In the photoluminescence decay of doped garnets the distinct effect of nanosized grains was found consisting in the slowing-down of the decay due to the change of effective refractive index.

Projekt se věnuje problematice metodiky a analýzy potenciálu biomasy pro ČR s využitím geografického informačního systému TopoL xT7.0. Analýza potenciálu bude řešena s těmito zdroji biomasy: pšeničnou slámou, lesními sklizňovými zbytky, biomasou trvalých travních porostů, záměrně pěstovanou biomasou z výmladkových plantáží rychle rostoucích dřevin a některých nedřevnatých energetických plodin. Práce provedené v roce 2007: Příprava mapových podkladů pro stanovení potenciálu biomasy jednotlivých zdrojů, Analýza pro vyhodnocení lesnické databáze, která bude rozpracována na úroveň okresů, popřípadě ORP (obce s rozšířenou působností), Analýza mapových podkladů a návrh způsobu zpracování mapových podkladů v systémech GIS, Vytvoření návrhu modelu pro použití mapových podkladů a výsledků pro zveřejnění mapových částí výzkumu na geoportálu, Získání podkladů pro stanovení potenciálu slámy pro energetické využití z konvenčního zemědělství, Získání podkladů pro stanovení potenciálu trvalých travních porostů pro energetické využití, Získávání a rozpracování podkladů pro stanovení potenciálu ze záměrně pěstované biomasy (RRD, šťovík, ozdobnice čínská) v závislosti na geografických a klimatických podmínkách (případně termínu sklizně), Vypracování metodiky pro ekonomické hodnocení a postupů stanovení ceny jednotlivých forem biomasy.
