Education for girls with Rett syndrome

The aim of this work is to enable a person to perceive and understand the specific features of behaviour of girls having Rett syndrome and to offer effective options for activities and effort in the process of education. The substance of the collection of suggestions and proposals for actions and activities as well as tools and equipment sorted according to equipment and objects used at a special needs education primary school. Practical advice, recommendations and suggestions are based on theoretical grounds and basis, particular examples or photo documentation. The work is founded on study cases of two girls with Rett syndrome where there are not only the girls' results and evaluations in the educational process described but also the personal stories of their families and different way of dealing with the tough life situations. The work results enable to discover a suitable attitude not only towards the girls but as well to their parents, siblings or classmates. Speech intervention for the people with autistic spektrum disorders

The present thesis deals with the issue of providing speech-language therapies for people suffering from autism spectrum disorders. The paper and the research project particularly aim to analyse a speech-language intervention for children with an autism spectrum disorder from the view of clinical speech-language pathology. To carry out the research, five hypotheses were suggested. The hypotheses relate to clients with an ASD, to what extent specialists are informed about the issue, consecutive education of speech- language pathologists, use of alternative and augmentative communication and gaining information about ASD during university studies. The research itself is realised in two ways - the quantitative one (questionnaires distributed to clinical speech-language pathologists) and the qualitative one which focuses on the evaluation of speech-language intervention for clients with ASD in the consulting room of clinical speech-language pathologists. Problematics of inclusive education of pupils with mild mental disability

This master thesis will concentrate on problems of inclusive education of pupils with mild retardation in primary school. The thesis will be split into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, terms such as mental retardation, inclusion, inclusive education, inclusive school, and inclusive class will be defined, along with other terms which are interconnected with these issues. The theoretical part of the thesis will end with a chapter on education of pupils with mild mental retardation in primary school, elaborating on conditions which are important for successful inclusive education as well as problems and benefits which inclusive education may bring about. The practical part will deal with analyse and description of the process of inclusive education of pupils with mild mental retardation in chosen secondary school in Prague. For gathering the necessary data, qualitative and quantitative methods of research will be used.

The Diploma Thesis Teacher's Creativity in the Educational process at Primary School for Students with Mild Intellectual Disabilities deals with the development of reading skills and competency of students through the reading workshop technique. The thesis is divided in two parts. The first theoretical part is focused on the definition of the basic terms, such as creativity, creative teaching, creative teacher, educational process, and so on. Furthermore, it focuses on the theoretical concepts of the reading workshop technique. In the practical part, which is taken as a case study, the author examines the practical use of reading workshop technique, through which she tries to improve the reading competency of students. The second part is focused on the reading workshop technique functionality in practice. Particularly, the author deals with the practical application of the reading workshop technique on students at Primary School for Students with Mild Intellectual Disabilities.

Annotation: Specifically pedagogical support of the child with developmental dysphasia and visual impairment in pre- school age Bachelor thesis deals with the special educational support of the child with developmental dysphasia and visual disabilities integrated in pre-school. The aim of the work was to monitor the progress of the integration of this child, the development of its capabilities, describe the specifics of the pedagogical approach, the interaction of the surroundings of the child with a problematic verbal manifestation, the adoption of an integrated child in the classroom the other children and teachers and to record any change in the climate in the team. I also watched the potential risks, which may in the integration to occur. The submitted work is in the theoretical part, consisting of a summary of the findings on the development dysphasia, the visual and the combined disability. Further it introduce into the topic of care and education of a child with disabilities and integration into the school facilities, with a focus on the integration of pre-school age, including the individual education plan and assistant teacher.
