The body and landscape
Vlček, Martin ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor) ; Vaculíková, Michaela (referee)
The Body as a subject and object is the way and possibility how to be in a landscape which does not tell how to touch it, how to move within it, live and die. However, we could find and see which particular behaviour is preferred to others. The landscape is a vertically and horizontally widespread area and a platform for potential range of body activities. Thirdly it is also a material, body, changing in time. We would focus on the moment when the body is trying to fuse into the landscape. So similar, so different, they are. The way how to achieve it for a human body would be a task to live it through, personally, as first shown as Symbiosis, on some examples from visual arts (performance, and site-specific usage of the place potential). In the Second part we would consider understanding the landscape (world) through the narratives with metamorphoses, when both entities are carnal and the same (Synonymical: body as a landscape, landscape as a body). The last Part (Synthesis) concentrates on the arts, rituals, philosophy and other modes of the "life view" in the context of crossing borders and immersion of real and the "different" (in a way virtual) world. Keywords: Body, landscape, arts, mythology, philosophy

Winery Mikulov
Vlček, Martin ; Boleslavská, Yvona (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
MIKULOV WINERY U Lomu Wine proposal is bound to a place I know well from my childhood - the house in Mikulov under Turoldem. The house where my grandparents lived for many years and have built their homes and facilities. Idea of my diploma work is in the design winery, which would continue in both local and family tradition. In addition to a family house with housing the winemaker and his family (private part), there would have been even wine production focused on quality rather than quantity (production part). The design includes a raised corner object that represents the winery itself - tavern with an observation gallery offering local wines and dishes. It is tied to a large garden with flowering fruit trees, pergola with barbecue and seating. In the vicinity of the summer garden is designed smaller square that embrace houses, which offer private accommodation for lovers of culture and others. They are designed as double duplex units with views of the city skyline Mikulov. The object at the head of the square acts as a barrier on the ground. Story building is underground operationally linked to the cellar, where wine tasting will take place for a larger group of wine lovers drink in a separate vaulted room under the ground. The spaces between the square and on the corner object applies water element - copper well supplied with water from the spring. Instead of symbolically linked with copper, which refers to the settlement of this landscape in the Neolithic (the time of copper). Overall, the project reflects the potential of the place and reflects the traditional method of farming into a contemporary winery.

Vlček, Martin ; Lahvička, Jiří (advisor) ; Chytilová, Helena (referee)
Analyzing a sample of 2 000 family houses located in six Czech cities (Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Liberec, Plzeň, Ústí nad Labem), the thesis discusses the relationship between the offer price of property and the concentration of PM10 in the air. The hedonic price model drawn up and assessed in the thesis has been extended by additional check variables which describe the other determinants of the price of a house. Based on this model, the thesis demonstrates that an increase in PM10 concentration by 1 mcg/m3 reduces the value of a house by 0.74 %. An inter-city comparison has shown that the concentration of PM10 in the air reduces the price of houses in Ostrava compared to Prague by 12.43 % and in Brno by 0.96 %. The differences in prices resulting from the PM10 pollution range from 0 to 5.3 % in Prague, from 0 to 17.73 % in Brno and from 0 to 22.75 % in Ostrava. Furthermore, the thesis has demonstrated that the price of a house decreases in proportion to the increasing distance from the center, while availability of a garage increases the price of a house. Prague as the capital city has confirmed its position as the most valuable location in the market.
