Analysis of methods, organizing forms and evaluation of personality and social development in education and training programmes of primary and secondary schools

Doctoral dissertation thesis is devoted to questions of personality and social development from perspective of its methods, organizing forms and evaluation. At first the work dissertates on pedagogics of personality and social development in the context of pedagogical mind development and recent curriculum documents. The analysis of pedagogics of personality and social development from perspective of selected theoretical baseline data makes the following thematic unit. As theoretical baseline data, the recent educational theories (spiritualist theory, personalistics theory, cognitive-psychology and sociocognitive theories) and educational systems of personality and social development (personality and social education, drama education, sociopsychological training, experiential education, global education, ethics, multicultural education ect.) are considered. The list of technics and organizing forms that can be used in educational programmes focused on pupils personality development forms the branch of the analysis of pedagogics of personality and social development. Theme of thesis is "Personal skills as a part of P. S. E. - the topics primary prevention of addiction. This work is focused on the use of personal skills of P. S. E. in primary prevention of drug abuse performed in school education. The theoretical part describes P. S. E. as a cross-subject in the Frame Educational Programme for elemantary school, further defines theoretical knowledge of personal skills. the theoretical part is targeted on personal development, primary prevention of drug abuse and addictions. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes teaching methods used in prevention programmEs. The aim of the research part is to investigate, whether lectors and teachers use personal skills in a schoolbased drug prevention and how. The research attention is focused on schools in Prague.
Media in the leisure time activity of the young

The diploma thesis brings closer the problems of the young people from the developement-psychological and sociological aspects, surveys the value orientation of the youth regarding with the stand-points of the formatting, sociokultural influence and the whole procedure of the socialization. Following part of this thesis is about the leisure time activity of the youth focusing on media, what is main part of the leisure time. The second part of the theory is orientated to the description of the evolution of the popular movie art and TV broadcast. There were a lot of important turning-points in the history, which became benefits, but also negatives and therefore is necessary to attend to the historical context. At first the thesis deals with the history of the cinematography and the evolution of the genres, then the history of TV broadcasting. The last part of the theoretical part is about changes in society and the importace of TV broadcasting in life. The component part of the whole thesis is a participal part, which comes out of the theoretical part and it is divided into three stages. The first is analysis of the TV Nova TV program in February 2010. Further there is a questionnaire, which is the base part of the analysis of the most viewed movies, serials or tv programme.
The youth's idols and ideals in the media

The thesis "The Youth's ldols and ldeals in the Media" investigates media' s influence on young people. The theoretical section presents a general introduction into the issue ofmedia's influence followed by an analysis ofthe present media situation in relation to young people and psychological aspects of the media-youth relation. A particular attention is given to the workings of advertising industry's and celebrities' influence on young people. Violence on television is also briefly considered. Based on a questionnaire research, the empirical part of the paper examines how first-year students of the Czech 4-year university-preparatory schools and the Czech apprentice vocational schools perceive the influence of celebrities and advertising on their peers.
Celakovice education and rebellions activity of teachers during Nazism occupation

This work deals with problems of Czcech educational system in the period of nazi occupation. Based on concrete examples of national school in Celakovice, primarily basic attributes of our national education in this tragic period are approached. These attributes are divided into severa I phases aceording to the way of nazi intluence on the education area. As an initial time limit we consider already the period of so called the "second republic", which in many aspects ushers in following years of Czech and Moravia Protectorate. We can follow up there how Celakovice schools were changing until the end of the Second World War under the increasing pressure of German occupational power. In the process of time we can also see the downgrade of not only everyday school work but also of the Czech teachers position. The attention is also given over to unsuccessful attempt to establish municipal school of music, which was supposed to become a significant culture centre of Celakovice. Final part of this work is describing revolt activities of teachers who were at the same time the main representatives of the local rebellion organization. It is mainly about Jaroslav Krucky, one of nazi regim victim, and Vaclav Grafnetter, who as a leader of local revolt led popular uprising in Celakovice in May 1945.
The role of reflection in the process of experiential learning

The work in your hands focuses on the issue of a reflection in frame of experiential learning. It makes both terms clear, introduces options for their further improvement and places them into the context of a current practice in schools. The experiential learning in this case is related to a personal and social education that starts to be used by Czech schools. A theoretical - empirical character of this work makes possible to compare an ideal image of the reflection, formulated in theory, with its final shape in practice. The biggest part of the work focuses on the research that presents insight to teachers' skills, related to the reflection, and is concerned about their standard. Observation and interview was two main methods used during the research. Practical verification of this issue could be an impulse for its further improvement.
The institue for teachers and its changes during the years 1870-1948

The paper "The Teachers' Training College in Kutná Hora and its Changes in Development of the between 1870 and 1948" presents a survey of the history of the institution from the time of its foundation in 1870 till 1948 when it was dissolved in compliance with the measures enforced in the education for elementary school teachers. The information presented in this work was acquired through a thorough study of the accessible sources and is supported by the relevant legal regulations applicable to the education for elementary school teachers in training colleges for teachers valid in all of the respective given periods. These proved to be invaluable sources of explanations of all internal changes made in the aforementioned institution during different stages of its life and development. They have also granted a more complex outlook at the ways in which the elementary school teachers were being educated in the past.
Squatting as a lifestyle of a part of young generation

The final thesis is aimed at qustions on squatting as one of the option of lifestyl of young generation. This subculture has been declining in the Czech republic for the last few years and a number of its followers has significantly decreased. This is one of the reasons why we offer an empirical probe into the rest of this alternative culture. In regard of a prevailing negative perception of this subculture by czech population, the work wants to confirm or rebut this apprehension. The final part describes the current squatting situation in the Czech republic and is trying to adumbrate a future of this alternative lifestyle.
Gestalt approach and its use in education

The main goal of this work is to provide information for readers (mainly from "teachers field") about possibility of using Gestalt therapy in education and to inspire reader to use the Gestalt approach mainly to improve relationship in classrooms as well as for using this approach for growth of their own personality. First chapter is focused on theoretical basics of Gestalt therapy, on its history and background and on Gestalt cycle. This part is strictly theoretic, but necessary for understanding of perception of Gestalt approach. At the end of the first chapter there is a list of actual usage of Gestalt therapy. Second chapter is written more practically, divided into areas the Gestalt approach can be used in - cognitive, social and personal field. Conceptions like learning, intelligent and motivation are described briefly, large part of the chapter is dedicated to relationships in classrooms and school climate. This part is also supplied by many techniques ("games") which might be used in classroom. The other large part is focused on teacher as a personality, his education and his support during career. Last part of the chapter talks about current using of Gestalt in therapy with "problematic" children and offers the idea of using education as a prevention of therapy.
