Modelling in perfusion MR imaging
Válková, Hana ; Jiřík, Radovan (referee) ; Kratochvíla, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the magnetic resonance perfusion data analysis especially DCEMRI. In its introduction the thesis describes the problem of DCE-MRI data aquisition, the necessity of appropriate contrast agent and basic principles of perfusion analysis. The dynamic behavior of contrast agent vascular distribution can be described by arterial input function (AIF). The shape of the curves close to the area of interest is affected by dispersion which is called vascular transport function (VTF) due to the distribution of the contrast agent to the region of interest. Finally the tissue residual function describes system behavior of tissue. The practical part of the diploma thesis is aimed at implementation of model curves AIF, VTF and TRF. Furthermore, a simulation program was created for easy manipulation with introduced models moreover the program is used to perform an estimation of perfusion parameters based on nonblind deconvolution. The method is validated on synthetic data and illustrated on clinical data of the renal cell carcinoma patient.

Critical Analysis of Residental Properties and a Prediction of its Development
Válková, Hana ; Števanka, Ladislav (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
The master´s thesis was chosen based on two main reasons. The first one was the importance of this issue as it concerns all of us. The second one was the fact that according to the gathered information, I would be able to give a qualified advice to the others concerning the housing. The residential market cannot be assessed individually; many factors that influence it must be taken into consideration. Its development depends on the economic situation of the state and the favorable development in the world that impacts the whole society. The prosperity of the state has an impact on other markets as well, especially the building market, employment and wages of the citizens. Furthermore, this influences the demand, prices and the overall development of the residential market. The aim of this paper is to predict the future market development, considering all the factors that affect it. The model scenarios are based on retained knowledge, information, data and facts. I tried to process this work clearly and understandably so that it would be beneficial not only to the professionals but to everyone interested in buying a new home.
Vector Optimalisation of a Company Based on Trend Evaluation
Tesařová, Lenka ; Válková, Hana (referee) ; Dohnal, Mirko (advisor)
The thesis deals with the analysis of the macroeconomic, market and intern environment of corporations in order to analyze the appropriate time to establish a new company or to invest into an existing economical subject. For this purpose the qualitative modeling was used. Thanks to this method there is a possibility to predict the future development of the factors that have an influence on rentability of companies. The choice of variables is the same as with the ones that are analyzed in the process of evaluation rating.
Hard and soft exudates detection in retinal images
Válková, Hana ; Lamoš, Martin (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The thesis deals with automatic detection of soft and hard exudates in retinal images of the human eye. In its introduction the thesis describes the issue of diabetes in relation to the damage to the retina of the eye. What is described in the first place is diabetic retinopathy, its symptoms and progression of the disease. Another section is devoted to describing DIARETDB1, the freely accessible database which besides other things contains a set of images showing various degrees of disease, evaluation of images from the experts and the evaluation protocol. The next section discusses several methods for automatic detection of hard and soft exudates. The practical part of the bachelor’s thesis is aimed at image pre-processing with respect to the normalization of retinal images, the selected method for adaptive transformation of contrast was implemented. This part also containts description of chosen methology of thresholding, feature extraction based on lesions intensity and its surroundings, use of Ho Kashyap classifier is described, classification of lesions in images is followed. In conclusion realized methods is evaluated.
The relationship between verbal intervetion and postural stability
Švátora, Karel ; Čepička, Ladislav (advisor) ; Musálek, Martin (referee) ; Válková, Hana (referee)
Dissertation Karel Svatora ABSTRACT Title: The Relationship between verbal intervention and postural stability Objective: To evaluate whether there is a relationship between verbal intervention and manifestations of postural stability. Methods: In the submitted work, 3 research investigations were carried out. The first investigation involved 185 probands (84 men) and was focused on verifying the effect of psychological priming. The Posturograph STP-03 was used to assess postural stability. Probands were randomly divided into three groups and each received different information about the difficulty of the upcoming task. An electrodermal activity data was recorded during the investigation. The second investigation involved 88 probands (45 men) and was aimed at verifying the effect of persuasive communication. The test of postural stability was to remain in a standing position measured on a 3 cm wide beam. Probands were randomly divided into two groups. The groups received the opposite verbal intervention during the test. 142 probands (83 men) took part in the third investigation. It was aimed at verifying the effect of persuasive communication during more significant stimulation of the current psychological state. The test of postural stability was to remain in a standing position measured on a 3 cm wide...
Cross-Cultural Validiation of the Czech Version of the Group Environment Questionnaire
Prokešová, Eva ; Rychtecký, Antonín (advisor) ; Válková, Hana (referee) ; Harsa, Pavel (referee)
-i- Abstract The aim of this study was to conduct a cross-cultural validation of the Group Environment Questionnaire (GEQ) (Carron, Widmeyer, & Brawley, 1985), internationally recognized as useful and contemporary measurement approach to cohesion. The GEQ was originally validated for a sample of North American athletes. In total, the sample consisted of 1 410 adult athletes and trainers (1 019 male and 391 female). A modified direct translation method with protocol analysis was utilised to translate the GEQ from English into Czech. Content validity was analysed and confirmed by content validity ratio method for individual indicators of the questionnaire. The factor structure of the Czech version of the questionnaire, verified by structural equation modelling, did not differ from the original version. The predictive validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by its ability to differentiate between groups of athletes (with diverse levels of perceived successfulness) on the basis of their team cohesion scores. Reliability, measured by the Cronbach's coefficient α, was 0,59-0,69 (for version with positively/negatively worded items) and 0,63-0,79 (for version with positively worded items). The results are discussed in the context of possible cultural differences. For population of the Czech athletes from team...
The perception of athletes with a disability, mainly Paralympians, by TV viewers
Macková, Veronika ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (advisor) ; Světlík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Válková, Hana (referee)
The dissertation focuses on the research of the audience and the perception of athletes with a disability, mainly Paralympians, in the Czech Television (Česká televize), which regularly broadcasts a program about disabled athletes called Paralympic Magazine. The topic also appears in other news programs (ČT24 and ČT sport). The research aims at showing the media image perception of the disabled sports by the television viewers. The theoretical level emphasises mainly the audience and athletes with a disability. The dissertation posed the following research questions: How do television viewers perceive athletes with a disability? Does the audience admire or regret them? What do viewers say about the presentation of disabled sports? Can we identify any differences between the presentation of athletes with and without a disability? Are life stories of athletes with a disability important in the reports? Does the Paralympic sport make sense? The focus group interviews were set to get an answer to the questions above. The audience (50 television viewers) was divided into five groups of ten. The first group consisted of people without a disability who had been watching the Paralympic Magazine and had no disabled person in their family. The second group was composed of people without a disability who did...
