The practical part is consisted of a description of research method and research group, analysis of results and final discussion. We asked 6 research questions to achieve the aims, which was answered by using qualitative research through semi-structured interviews. It was find out that nurses adhere to principles of communication with patient with Alzheimer's disease and they do use elements of different therapeutic approaches. Unfortunately, they have some reserves in communication with families of patients and in cooperation with support organizations. The biggest communication barriers are disorientation, anxiety and aggressive behaviour towards nurses. They also must deal with their feelings of exhaustion and moodiness most of them consider communication to be psychically demanding. With this bachelor thesis was created a manual that contains basic principles of communication with person with Alzheimer's disease. The manual is intended for health staff and families of patients and it also contains a list of support organizations.
The Body and Islam
Písařová, Petra ; Skupnik, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vrhel, František (referee) ; Nováková, Hana (referee)
This thesis deals with the role of the body in Islam. Within its framework selected issues connected to the approach to the body and bodiliness from the religious-juristic, cultic, philosophical and medical view are analysed. Presented are especially the moments of adjustments and modifications of the body, partly on the level of its physical, "desired" presence in the society, partly on the level of socially/culturally distributed and sustained ideas about the body. These two moments are of course interwoven but can be postulated separately as well in the way I do it when I distinguish between the "delimitated" and the "delimitating" body. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the question of the approach to the study of Islamic culture in general and to the subject of bodiliness from the position of "western" Orientalism. Consequently, a methodological framework for the author's own analysis is set up, which is defined as "postmodernistic", therefore inclined to various narratives about the body in Islamic culture, images and actions connected to the body and predominantly ahistorical. Works of the first sociologists of the body and their studies into the logic of bodily techniques and "embodied" social/cultural ideas are mentioned as well. The role of the body within the scope of the...

EGYPTIAN ART OF THE 20TH CENTURY AND ITS ROLE IN THE EGYPTIAN SOCIETY (CONCERNING THE ARTS OF PAINTING AND SCULPTURE Hana Nováková Abstract This thesis is a contribution to the research of the Egyptian Visual Arts in the 20th century. Egypt has long tradition of pre-Islamic and Islamic arts. Early in the 20th century the new phenomenon emerged - the modern Egyptian art. This term does not mean the visual art influenced by the modern Western art, but just the visual art influenced by the styles and methods of the Western Fine Art tradition, the easel paintig and the plastic arts. This thesis deals with this new phenomenon, concerning the ways of introduction the Western art to the Egyptian society, the stages of development of the authentic Egyptian easel paintig and plastic arts as well as the emergence of the Egyptian art criticism. The main aim of this thesis is to discuss whether and how did the modern artistic expression reflect the political and social development of the Egyptian society on the one hand, and how did the society percieve this kind of art, on the other hand. The literature on modern Egyptian art in European languages is not numerous and we can hardly find any literature or periodical articles in Czech language. This thesis is based on the available Western literature and on the Arabic...

Title: The influence of physical activity on postural stability in individuals after renal transplantation Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the current state of postural stability on individuals up to one year after renal transplantation. And then the results relate to the current state of health of the patient, his habitual physical activity and intervention program. Methods: On our pilot study, 12 probands participated, 5 women with an average age of 58 ± 2,88 years and 7 men with an average age of 64 ± 5,67 years post-transplant, who were included in the experimental group (n=12). These took part on a three-month exercise intervention that included group and individual exercises. The influence of physical activity on the quality of postural stability was objectified by a posturography, where a pressure plate Footscan was used, on the premises of the Clinic of Nephrology TC IKEM in Prague. The results were compared with parameters of postural stability in the control group (n=12) without renal disease, homogeneous age and gender. Results: When comparing individual tests and their results with the control group, there were apparent differences in the sense of deterioration in the experimental group. Animals in the looking glasses of Europe and India. The changing bonds between humans and animals in the course of the 19th and 20th century
Nováková, Hana ; Komárek, Stanislav (advisor) ; Marková, Dagmar (referee) ; Cílek, Václav (referee)
This paper deals with various aspects of human- animal relationship: biological, psychological and sociological; but also with the fact how deep and thorough impact can political events have on the paradigma pointed towards animals. Here, these are depicted on significant fields of human - animal interactions of modern times, for example zoological gardens, petkeeping, changing ways of hunting, and also within some more obscure phenomena, such as animal abuse in laboratory research and in "meat plants". I also try to trace the roots of the approach that people of modern time Europe perform towards animals, and I do the same for India. The writing is divided into two parts, each one containing four chapters. The part No. I. - The man and the animal in Euro-American cultural context - describes the turbulent changes the human - animal relationship underwent during the era of Enlightenment, and tries to explain why it was so. Animals have enjoyed a widespread interest since times immemorial, but have hardly ever been perceived from the tabula rasa point of view. On the contrary, they have often been seen through the prisma of human sociology, serving as the immense field of manifold human projections. As such, they have figured in copious kinds of modern "myths", being it myths of ritual or otherwise "fictive"...
