Title:Ankylosing spondylitis, comparision of diagnostic methods and production of digital 3D model Aim: The aim of this thesis was to explore the issue of diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Describe the investigative methods used to diagnose and monitor the progress of the disease and try to create 3D geometric model of two vertebrae from magnetic resonance images (MRI) has demonstrated the possibilities of this process and possibly illustrate the pathological processes taking place on the monitored vertebrae. Method: The thesis is elaborated in the form of annotated literature review. They were used the available literature sources from which the information was drawn for determination of pathological processes, clinical symptoms, diagnostic methods and on therapy in AS. The practical part is used for creating 3D model of MR images in the program Scanview and Amira program for creating 3D objects. Software has Amira correction options and adding image data with a lack of meaningful that MR images show. Komplex school excursion with usage protected territorys - CHKO Czech karst
Mikešová, Markéta ; Švecová, Milada (advisor) ; Mikešová, Kateřina (referee)
The aim of the dissertation is to evaluate education potential of choice area and elaboration model of complex school excursion for interactive students work with usage natural places of Czech karst. Next point is creating a set of learning excercises in practical application knowledges from natural branches and for confirm keys competenses of students middle schools. An educational potential of a chosen area was evaluated on the bases of aims mentioned earlier, a model of a complex school excursion using conservation area Czech karst was developed and tested. The excursion takes place in the village Svatý Jan pod Skalou and it uses worksheets. An evaluation following the excursion is done as a form of a student conference. Evaluation of the worksheets follows and designs of changes of teaching tasks in the worksheets are proposed. Based on the evaluation of the complex scholar excursion in conservation area Czech karst worsheets and results from the conference, it is possible to deduce that the addition of excursions as a teaching form is benefitial to students. Particular educational aims were applied during the excursion. Antioxidanty ve víně a jejich možné obsahové ovlivnění
Mikešová, Kateřina
In nature, there are a wide variety of natural antioxidants. The most important of them are phenolic compounds. These substances are responsible for many important characteristics of wine - especially for the color, bitterness and tannins taste. They also exhibit substantial variability in the structure, which makes it not to divide no-flavonoids (hydroxyethylbenzoic acid, hydroxycinnamic acids, stilbenes = resveratrol) and flavonoids (anthocyanins dyes and flavanols). Their participation in wine is influenced by a number of internal and external factors. Besides the variety, rootstock, age of bush or length and taking phenophase is the quantity of those substances depend in particular environmental influences on vineyard (laid-vista, climatic conditions), effects of stress and winemaking technology.

The Using of expositions of the Botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague - Aquatic and marsh plants
Malcová, Kateřina ; Rajsiglová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Mikešová, Kateřina (referee)
Botanical gardens perform a wide variety of functions, from which one of the most important is an educational function. They provide to visitors a large range of services such as guided tours, a variety of educational programs, worksheets etc. The same applies to the Botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The main aim of the thesis was to prepare worksheets concerning expositions of aquatic and marsh plants in already mentioned botanical garden, verify them on students and adjust them to final forms. The results of the thesis are two different versions (spring and autumn) of the worksheets as well as author's solution and methodological manual for teachers. Within the thesis I also implemented the questionnaire survey where I dealt with the issue of teaching the theme of aquatic and marsh plants at Czech grammar schools and examined the attitude of teachers to field trips during botany teaching. Key words: botanical garden, worksheet, aquatic and marsh plants, field trip, questionnaire

Potography and Fashion: formation of Empty Image
Mikešová, Kateřina ; Fišerová, Michaela (advisor) ; Řehořová, Irena (referee)
The thesis Photography and fashion: formation of Empty Image explores the phenomenon of fashion photography as it appears in lifestyle magazines. The hypothesis of this study is that the current fashion photography uses creative painting techniques, which denies the key idea about photography - that photography mirrors reality - but in the same time photography recipients are expected to believe this idea. This leads us to the assumption that fashion misuses photography. Fashion Photography, by constant repetition and displaying identical objects that in reality don't exist, which only refer to an indefinite referent gives rise to an empty image with no meaning. Determination of gastropods of the genus Radix, the intermediate hosts of trematodes
Mikešová, Kateřina ; Beran, Luboš (referee)
Lymnaeid snails of the genus Radix are common freshwater molluscs of Europe. Formerly, the following species have been reported from the Czech Republic according to the morphology of the shell: R. auricularia, R. peregra, R. ovata and R. ampla. However, recent studies involving molecular data revealed that species determination based on traditional approaches employing morphology of the shell and gonads can be more complicated, confusing and not fully reliable. The shape of the shell is affected by particular life conditions of the snails and proves to be highly variable. The characteristics that can be found on gonads are dependent on the reproductive phase of the snail, and sometimes also on the presence of trematode larval stages, which can cause parasitic castration. Recently, molecular taxonomy is the most reliable approach, especially when a combination of sequences of mitochondrial and nuclear DNA is used. As molecular analyses are relatively time-consuming and expensive, some authors try to find some additional morphological features that could be used for determination of Radix snails in the field, without the need of demanding equipment. Problems in taxonomy and systematics of members of the genus Radix have a practical point in studies of trematode life cycles. From the view of human and...
