The Signification of Specially Education Centers in the Area of the Education of Children with Mentally Affected

This dissertation focuses on the importance of specialist pedagogical centers in educating mentally handicapped children. In the theoretical part the importance of specialist pedagogical centers in educating mentally handicapped children is arranged through the listing and description of their activities. At the same time this part also describes current possibilities for educating mentally handicapped children in the Czech Republic and explains the basic terminology related to this issue. The empiric part of the dissertation (the empiric survey) follows the importance of specialist pedagogical centers from the point of view of parents with mentally handicapped children in respect to how they perceive the impact of the intervention of the specialist pedagogical center in Ústí nad Labem on selected categories in educating mentally handicapped children. The view of the importance of specialist pedagogical centers in educating mentally handicapped children is completed at the end of this dissertation by cases interpretation of three clients of the specialist pedagogical center in Ústí nad Labem, which presents practical activities of specialist pedagogical centers in different phases of cooperation with mentally handicapped children and their families.
The Influence of Social Support for Disabled

In my diploma thesis I focus on the social assistance provided to the physically handicapped citizens, with the purpose of finding out how this assistance adds to the quality of their life. The work has got a theoretical and an empirical part. It is divided into six chapters, five of them focusing on a brief delineation of the physical handicap issues, social assistance, quality of life and different interconnected issues. The sixth chapter is empirical in nature, focusing on finding out the evaluation of the influence of social assistance on the quality of life of the physically handicapped.
The role of education in senior age

ANOTATION The present work explores the role and significance of education in lives of the seniors. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part contains an overview of the topic's treatment in domestic literature, definition of basic terms and a description of selected aspects of the elderly's life, and an outline of lifelong learning system in the Czech republic. The second part is based on an empirical research and attempts to shed light at, as the title suggests, the role which education plays in lives of the czech elderly and significance it bears for them. Data for the analysis will be acquired through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods (a telephone survey and in-depth interview). Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou předčasných sexuálních zkušeností a pohlavním zneužíváním nezletilých dívek. Téma této práce vzniklo s ohledem na profesní zaměření autorky, která pracuje jako sociální pracovnice. Předčasné zahájení pohlavního života a pohlavní zneužití se v poslední době vyskytuje ve stále větší míře, a tím vzniká i potřeba na tuto problematiku reagovat a řešit v rámci působnosti orgánů sociálně právní ochrany dětí. Cílem diplomové práce je popis dopadů předčasných sexuálních zkušeností a pohlavního zneužití na osobnost nezletilých dívek. Diplomová práce se také zabývá úlohou rodiny, školy a orgánů sociálně právní ochrany dětí v sexuální výchově. Dále také srovnává společné aspekty rodinného prostředí nezletilých dívek a vyhledává společné faktory, které působí v rodinách nezletilých dívek, u kterých došlo k předčasnému zahájení pohlavního života nebo k jejich sexuálnímu zneužití. Výzkumnou metodou této práce jsou především případové studie dvou rodin s nezletilými dívkami, u kterých došlo k předčasnému zahájení pohlavního života. V rámci případových studií byla použita obsahová analýza dokumentů, metoda rozhovoru s nezletilými dívkami a s jejich rodinami. An identification of a risky Behavior leading to an Internet Addiction by the High School Students specialized in IT

This dissertation is occupied with the Internet Issues and the Internet addiction, which is currently a frequent topic in professional and popular journals. This work is primarily focused on the Internet addiction and the identification of risks for selected high school students. The author describes the phenomenon of the Internet and the Internet background and its impact on the identity of adolescents. Research investigation carried out by using an empirical investigation among students, points to the need to devote more Internet and Internet addiction, not only within specific primary prevention but also in itself education. Dissertation provides suggestions specific approaches in primary prevention and intervention in secondary schools. It can be used as an introduction to the Issue for teachers working in the role of the school prevention methodologist or in the role of the educational consultant. The role of school in the prevention of bullying at second stage of primary school

The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of bullying at the second stage of primary schools. It deals with the theory of bullying; it gives a summary of the developmental stages of bullying and the way of recognizing and solving the problem. The thesis also provides the characteristics of the aggressor's and victim's personalities. It covers the topics of prevention of the bullying and the role of the coordinator of the educational-preventative programmes. The thesis also includes the results of questionnaire research related to the presence of bullying at the second stage of the chosen primary schools - in the country and in the town.
Formation of competences for ethic behaviour of nurses in undergraduate preparation

The main topic of the work is the ethics in nursery. Its theoretical part aims at research in the field of nurses' preparation for ethically professional behaviour based on specialised education. A direct relation to the aims of the research work shows the contents analysis of the ethic curriculum of the study branch a health care assistant, with medium level of education reached and the study branch of a certified nurse with higher professional level of education. Ethically relevant contents of teaching the general education and professional education subjects and aims of education programs in relation to ethic education were used as the starting points of the research section. The empiric part of the work deals with the problematic area of efficiency of nurses' ethical preparation methods. The aim of the research was to find out the level of relevance of education system claims towards ethically professional preparation of nurses from the point of view of efficiency of the process of their professional attitude creation and the way of their behaviour. Social-pedagogic issues of integration of gipsy kids and youth

This work is of a theoretical-empirical nature. The goal of this work is to identify causes with lead to the social exclusion of the Romany ethnic group, to chart trends in this region, and to focus attention on institutions engaged in integrating Roma into society. Additional goals are to determine how the integration of this minority is secured by the government, through self-government and non-profit organizations, and subsequently to attempt to determine how the Roma people and the majority themselves view integration. The perspective of the media, which serve as a kind of oversight body of all national events, and which to a great extent influence public opinion that affects the mood of the society, is supposed to aid in this. The work may be divided into two parts. The first part, which is concerned with the causes of the Romany group social exclusion, is of a theoretical nature. These causes had been sought in the Romany identity, the family, the upbringing, behaviour, and communication. Attention was subsequently then borne on integration, which to a large measure is affected not only by the government, but also non-profit organizations. TITLE Transformation of Children's homes into a new type of facilities ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to map the evolution and current state of the system of care for children and families at risk in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, the educational-psychological perspective on the issue and to outline a vision for the future development. It is based on literature review particularly in the fields of work with children and families at risk, social pedagogy, developmental psychology, historical and current system of care for children at risk in our country and the Slovak Republic. The study contains knowledge of the author's experience in residential care and the first year experience in pilot project which aims to transform children's home into the facility providing support and field services for families at risk. The purpose of the practical part of the paper is to prove feasibility of the proposal using the case reports of children placed in children's home. The specifics of professions helping in the field of socially pathological phenomena prevention

This paper concentrates on the area of professional assistance, especially the prevention of socio-pathological phenomena in children and adolescents. The theoretical part introduces the history and current concept of altruistic behaviour, defines the basic social areas and activities for which assisting another human being is characteristic. Attention is also devoted to the services of the helping sector and its clientele. The introduction also includes the analysis of the assumptions and demands on the performance of helping profession, its hidden difficulties and the prevention of unprofessional conduct. Social deviations are a natural part of every society. They can be carried not only by adults, but also by children and adolescents. The causes, course and consequences of socially unacceptable behaviour are studied by professionals to whom the final chapter of the theoretical part of this paper is dedicated. The practical part complements the characteristics of selected helping professions listed in the theoretical part on the basis of statements obtained under the expert survey conducted among the individual professionals. It also provides their comparison on the basis of predefined specifics.
