Attitudes of young people with disabilities to academic education

This thesis deals with issues of level and structure of education of contemporary Czech population with a view to the target group of disabled people. It talks about historical evolution in this field, current trends and available statistical data, which represent it. A prominent theme of the thesis is a lower number of disabled people with university education in comparison with intact population. We will have a short look at supportive measures for students with special needs at Czech universities as well. Then, a part of the thesis is a survey which examines attitudes of young disabled people towards university education. Current problems of a school assistant to a visually impaired student

The material to the thesis is sourced from the author's experience of an assistant to a blind high school student. Analyzing this experience some problems arised. These problems occur especially in the view of the demands placed on the school assistant and current specialized literature and recent special educative recommendations to the assistant to the blind. In this thesis also is offered a less common view of school assistance for the assistance was performed at a secondary school. School assistance at primary education is presumably more common. Single examples in the text show performance of educational and non-educational activities of the autor as a school assistant. The operations were identified as areas of support of the blind student. The operations of the school assistant considered arbitrary actually are reflection of experience of the teaching of the blind that has been systemized in recent methodics. Role of special educator in the family of a child with disabilities at an early age

In the thesis on the role of special educator in the family of a child with a disability at an early age to deal with the issue of early care. Now through early care are special educator comes into direct contact with the family of a child with a disability at an early age and plays an essential role in the life of a family. The work outlines the normal development of a child at an early age, I deal with family situations in which a child is born with a disability. I clarify the concept of early care and all of what this entails. Then monitors the situation in early care services in the region Kladno, primarily services the two main providers of early intervention in this region, Kolping Family Center Smečno and help vulnerable children Rosa Kladno. The practical part is based on qualitative research methods in the form of an interview with mothers of children with disabilities using the services and facilities listed through dialogues with employees providing these services. The aim of my work is to find out what the situation is in providing early care Kladno, what are its specifics, benefits, advantages, disadvantages.
Possibilities of influencing selected areas of children psychomotor development by neuro-developmental therapy

The diploma thesis is focused on the concept of the psychomotor development in context of remaining primary reflexes in children. The author draws on the knowledge of developmental psychology and neurophysiology that some of developmentally earlier stages must under optimal circumstances and maturation of a child disappear and be replaced by ontogenetically newer forms. Research confirms continuity of persistent primary reflexes, psychomotor development and learning and behavioral problems. The thesis aims to investigate whether inhibition of primary reflexes using Neuro-developmental therapy improves the condition of children with delayed psychomotor development, including their school grades. The author in the introductory chapters focusses on normal psychomotor development of children, in particular gross motor skills, fine motor skills, sensory skills, including proprioception and kinesthesia and their importance for learning ability in school age. The next part of the thesis is focused on particular primary reflexes and their impact on psychomotor development. The author pays special attention to the climbing stage in infancy which she considers as an important milestone in the optimal psychomotor development. Use of animal assisted therapy and hippotherapy for children with physical and sensory disabilities and its application

The aim of this thesis is to determine the influence of assisted therapy of dogs and horses for people with musculoskeletal disabilities and sensory impairments. The operational objective is to define the status and position of a therapy with the assistance of a dog and a horse in the context of the complex rehabilitation of a client. The theoretical part concentrates on the issues of zootherapy and zooasistance as supportive methods for easing muscle spasms, the development of fine and gross motor skills, development of verbal and nonverbal communication and development of orientation in space. In the research part of the thesis there are used qualitative techniques of data collection (history and observation), all rounded off by grounded theory. By the carried out research there were found positive manifestations in both the social and psychological areas, as well as in the areas of communication and development of fine and gross motor skills of children with disabilities.
