Bachelor thesis named Controlling in managing of DHL company is focused on controlling tool and it is focused on assessing of value and practical use of this mentioned tool to ensure an improvement of the company.
First part of bachelor thesis will acquaint readers about general theoretical base of controlling and then the following part of introduction gets reader closer to more specific area of this tool and that is financial controlling.
Second part of bachelor thesis is focused on practical application and use of financial controlling in the international company, especially acquaint readers about position of controlling department in the company's organization tree, the individual activities including liability and responsibilities comes from the activity concerned.

Provisioning implementation in Asterisk open source PBX

The bachelor's thesis "Implementation of provisioning service in Open source PBX Asterisk" deals with a general description of the provisioning service and the options of it's implementation in Asterisk PBX based on the capabilities of the PBX and the endpoint devices for VoIP telephony connected to it. The theoretical part of the thesis also contains a brief description of all the protocols and services needed for successful operation of the service in the particular scenario of implementation described in the thesis. A short introduction and requirements for the designed application are also described. The practical portion of the thesis is focused on instalation and setup of the Asterisk PBX and the provisioning service itself on a virtual server running the CentOS operating system. It also contains all the settings of the server, additional services run on the server, the Asterisk PBX and also the settings of the endpoint devices needed for correct operation of the service. A thorough description of the designed and developed web application for management of endpoint devices for VoIP telephony is also contained in this part.

Remote control of FPGA-based embedded system

The bachelor’s project looks into the development of a part of Digitizer embedded system. The design is focused on the usage of FPGA-based processor managing the remote control operations and on the achievement of the sufficient bitrate for transmitting data to the ethernet network. The project summarizes used solutions and evaluates their applicability in the developed system. Matching concepts of solved problems are designed properly; in most cases they associate positive properties of used solutions. The implementations of MicroBlaze processor system and chosen modules were performed into the target device and the desired characteristics were measured with successful outcome.

Home automation system

This thesis deals with home automation systems. First part of the thesis is focused on analysis of commercially available state-of-the-art systems. The most common ones are compared in terms of their functions, properties, principles of operation and their price. Second part of the thesis describes design and development of custom system for home automation. The aim is to build a cheap alternative to the commercially available systems. The design description starts from schematic design of particular components through PCB design to firmware and software development. The system is based on Raspberry PI 2B microcomputer which controls all the required home electronic equipment via user-friendly web-based interface. Several different ways of use of the system are discussed as well as some useful features of the microcomputer.

Virtualization of operating systems

The diploma thesis ’Virtualization of Operating Systems’ deals with a general description of virtualization technology and briefly discusses its use cases and advantages. The thesis also mentions examples of different types of virtualization technologies and tools, including more thorough description of the two technologies used for measurement: Docker and KVM. The second part of this thesis descibes the preparation, installation and configuration of all the tools and services that are necessary for measurement of the influence of the aforementioned virtualization technologies on network services running on the virtual machines, including analysis and discussion of the resulting data. Moreover, a custom application for fully automated measurement of the parameters of network services was created, and is also described in this thesis. The conclusion of this thesis summarizes and discusses the achieved results and acknowledges the influence of virtualization on network services, where the Docker application containers, which are with their low overhead comparable to a "bare" system without any virtualization, managed to achieve much better performance results than the traditional virtual machines on KVM.

Fast Beam Current Change Monitor for the LHC

Striktní nároky na systémy ochrany a zabezpečení LHC vyžadují vylepšené metody detekce rychlých ztrát částicového svazku. Rychlý proudový transformátor (FBCT) je měřicí přístroj poskytující informaci o intenzitě shluků urychlovaných částic. Tato diplomová práce popisuje vývoj nového systému ochrany LHC založeného na měření signálu FBCT. Tento systém, monitor rychlých proudových změn částicového svazku (FBCCM), měří signál FBCT v úzkém frekvenčním pásmu a počítá časovou derivaci okamžité amplitudy tohoto signálu. Tato derivace je přímo úměrná ztrátám částicového svazku. Pokud ztráty svazku překročí určitou úroveň, FBCCM přikáže kontrolním systémům zničit svazek kvůli bezpečnosti LHC. Ochrana LHC bude zabezpečena čtyřmi FBCCM, které budou instalovány do LHC v červenci 2014. Bylo zkonstruováno a testováno šest FBCCM. Jejich měřené charakteristiky vyhovují stanoveným požadavkům. FBCCM bylo vyzkoušeno laboratorní simulací reálného prostření LHC.

Influence of properties of humic acids on diffusion of cupric ions in humic hydrogels

Presented bachelor's thesis focuses on the study of diffusion of cupric ions in humic acid gels. The objective of the work was to assess how the properties effect diffusion in humic gels. In the experimental part, three samples of humic acids of different purity were studied. Method of instantaneous planar source diffusion was used to compare them. This methods was based on monitoring temporal evolution of diffusion profiles of cupric ions in gels. Copper ions were elected as diffusing medium because of their high affinity and strong bonds to humic acids.

Strategy of an organisation

The main goal of this thesis is to propose partial strategy of company named Centrum financni gramotnosti. The strategy must respect keeping or generating of competitive advantage. It is formed on basis of internal and external analysis. External analysis is divided into analysing environment and competition. PEST analysis and Porter's 5F analysis were used. Internal analysis covers the company's resources and products offered. For those, BCG analysis was performed. To decide which factors are critical, SWOT analysis is used. TOWS analysis helped to set the final strategy. All those methods were applied on real data. Outcome of the research is a proposal for new pricing strategy of the organisation.

Inovace a rozšíření inventarizačního systému

The bachelor thesis deals with the innovation of the inventory control system used at the Department of Informatics, Mendel University, which is used for recording the flow of assets during the year. Thesis at the beginning discusses how the old system complies with the current needs of users. Based on this analysis is designed new inventory control system, which eliminates the problems of old system and adds new functionality. The new system is implemented as a web application in PHP using the Nette framework.

Jedním z hlavních prvků, které vstupují do interakce s životním prostředím v Krkonoších, je cestovní ruch. Pro celou řadu aktivit je potřebné znát z kvantitativního i kvalitativního pohledu navštěvovanost konkrétních míst a tras a také vědět, jakým způsobem působí na životní prostředí. Problematika zátěže Krkonoš v důsledku turistické exploatace je námětem řešeného projektu. Hlavním závěrečným výstupem je model zatížení jednotlivých částí jádrové zóny biosférické rezervace Krkonoš cestovním ruchem. V průběhu prací byla vymezena – pomocí klasifikace kvantitativních a kvalitativních ukazatelů – hlavní zájmová území, kam se soustředilo provádění monitoringu vybraných složek ekosystému. Ten vedl k definování nežádoucích dopadů turistické zátěže na přírodní prostředí biosférické rezervace Krkonoše a umožnil vytvořit základní kategorizaci poškození jejích jednotlivých částí. V roce 2004 byly předloženy první dílčí výsledky jednotlivých monitoringů (tj. monitoringu zátěží, botanického monitoringu, hydrologického, hydrogeologického a pedologického monitoringu), konečná analýza získaných datech proběhla v roce 2005.
