Value orientation of young people from socially and culturally disadvantaged backgrounds

The goal of the thesis is describing the value orientation of young people from the socially and culturally disadvantaged surroundings. The thesis is theoretical and empirical and it has a qualitative character. The research pattern are young people who are visiting a low- threshold facility for children and teenagers. We are describing the issue of the age of young people, conception of values, evaluation process, classification of values, value orientation, education to values, moral development of human, socially and culturally disadvantaged surroundings, family, peer groups and the low-threshold facility for children and teenagers in the theoretical part. There was performed an analysis of the value orientation of the selected group of respondents based on the data from semi-structured interview in practical part. The results of research shows that the part of the value orientation of the young people is the family, life in prosperity, free time, education, friends, interest activities, love, surroundings, make own family and responsibility. These parts characterize what is important, valuable and necessary for the respondents.
Teacher's concept of his Role Expectations

Different expectations are placed towards teacher in his professional role. Pupils, their parents, superiors, colleagues, experts, representatives of the school system and society in general are those who place them. Teacher shapes his professional identity based on his personal beliefs and pedagogical ideals, influenced by practical experience, and also is largely influenced by professional relationships with these entities and their role-imposed expectations. His professional identity is largely intertwined with his personal identity, both demands and benefits of the profession are experienced by teacher also on a his personal level. His own conception of the role is largely in line with societal expectations, he feels to be representative of the societal ideals. His role is defined so broadly and universally, so it can be viewed relatively individually, but its conceptions may vary among different entities and it may become the cause of conflicts. Teacher tries to prevent them by the quality of his work and his personal attitudes. Children Preparedness to Beginning of Compulsory Education from Social-cultural Handicapped Background

This thesis is focused on the issue of children coming from socially and culturally disadvantaged environment before their entry to the compulsory education from a socially- pedagogical point of view. It describes the influence of the environment the child lives in, its family, the community, and the living conditions affecting its readiness for admission to an elementary school. The nature of work is theoretical work and research. The theoretical part of the thesis in quires into such terms as socialization, family, social and cultural disadvantage, the Roma, preschool education, and their interdependence. It describes the current methods used for recognizing the school maturity and preparedness for an entry to the compulsory education of children in the Czech Republic. It compares the most common institutional forms of preparation for the compulsory education, i.e. nursery school and preliminary classes at elementary schools that are designated especially to the children of socially and culturally disadvantaged background. The diploma thesis "Current issues in adult education in the helping professions" deals with present possibilities of life-long education of a helping professional. In the theoretical part it focuses on the general terminology and specifies the terms that characterise the helping professions. It introduces the issue of competencies, which, at the present time, have become output categories in the educational process. The thesis describes individual phases of a professional career and educational opportunities which are connected with the different phases. How Violence in Media Influences Aggressiviveness of a Child

This diploma thesis is called The Influence of Violence in Media on the Aggressiveness of Child. It mainly attends to enquieries of if and how are the adolescents influenced by violence conveyed by our media. It focuses on a selected group of adolescents who display violent behaviour more often and strongly than others. It examines their relationship to media, understanding medial violence and their leisure time activities. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part is mainly oriented on defining aggressiveness and determining the characteristics of the period of adolescence. It analyses respective kinds of media and theoretical findings about the influence of violence in media on the aggressiveness of adolescents. Last but not least it mentions the matters of media education. The empirical part consists of two parts. The first of them tries to find out how the adolescents perceive media, if these are a source of information, fun or other activities for them. Furthermore it attempts to find out if adolescents who express themselves more aggressively within a group are the ones who more often seek out media programmes with violent content. This thesis deals with the prevention of youth delinquency in the Czech Republic. The theoretical basis is characteristic of individual in adolescence and system description prevention of youth delinquency. The section devoted to adolescence describes individuals aged 15-18years, describes the psychological and developmental characteristics. An Attention is paid to the causes of youth delinquency. The prevention part explains the theoretical foundations on which is a system of prevention in the Czech Republic. This thesis describes the system and highlights the continuity and consistency between the elements of the system. Special attention is given to prevention at the school and local community. The empirical part is devoted to identifying the opinions and attitudes of the respondents in the area of prevention. Socialisation of a Child in Homoparental Family

The bachelor thesis "Socialization of a Child in a Homoparental Family" examines the new phenomenon of children who are growing up in homoparental families. The aim of the theoretical part is research of legislation in the Czech Republic, research of the primary socialization process of a child in a family, and the theme of prejudice, in which I will try to find important considerations which influenced the formation of a homoparental family. The aim of the empirical part is an introduction of opinions from professionals who are connected with the theme of homoparental parenthood. The theoretical part deals with the legislative basis of registered partnerships and the possibilities of the formation of a homoparental family. Furthermore, attention is paid to the primary socialization of a child in a family and the child's basic needs. The end of the theoretical part looks at the issue of prejudice, its formation and its manifestations. The research probe, which is described in an empirical part of the bachelor thesis, includes five structured interviews with professionals from several areas of expertise. Media Influence on the Formation of Language and Communication Competencies of School Children

This work should introduce media influence on child's speech development and language and communication skills of children. Issue of media production are presented not only as a part of social and cultural environment, but also as an important factor determining child's speech, communication, cognitive ability and success at school or work. A critical view on the media technology in common use by children leads to proposals of how to prevent any potential negative effects media could have on the child users.

(in english): The Bachelor thesis "Analysis of the Local Specifics of Young Drug Users' Life Style as Basis for Prevention Planning" focuses on the young drug users' life style in the town called Hostivice. It aims to suggest changes in the local prevention program on the basics of analysis of the drug users' life style and analysis of the primary prevention program. In the theoretical part, the concepts of the environment, local community and life style are defined beacuse of the focus the whole thesis. It describes and analysis local primary prevention program. The practical part is contained by ethnographical research, which it analysis young drug users' life style by participant observation and interviews.
